BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you end up using Michelle, it will ruin all other agencies for you…read more I am a professional career nanny. I have over seven years of nannying experience, five years of teaching experience, and more. I have a B/S in childhood development as well as my MAT. When I began my search for a nanny-family in LA, I did my due diligence by shopping around looking at multiple agencies. I found that Michelle had the TOP RATED AGENCY ON MULTIPLE SITES and wanted to take a closer look. I read through every. single. review. I thought to myself, "Really? Every single person had a positive experience with this agency? That's just not statistically possible if she's really working with this many people..." I decided to set up a meeting. I drove to her office where we met to discuss particulars (what I'm looking for, what families are in the market for a nanny right now, what ages/salary/commute/hours I'm looking for) and the moment she opened the door and greeted me with a giant smile and her upbeat, positive attitude, I felt like just working with HER was my perfect placement! Once we started the process, Michelle was completely professional while also refreshingly honest and realistic in her suggestions. She really took the time to get to know me and what I was looking for and she only suggested me to families that she knew had the potential to be a "love match!" After looking at a few potential matches, Michelle called me to tell me that she had "found my family!" She said, "This is the one. Please go for an interview and see for yourself." So I did. This is the part of the review where I'm going to get annoyingly emotional. Not only did the family and I immediately "click," but Michelle had made sure that all of our stats were in alignment. The age range, schedule, amount of hours, commuting time, pay rate, expectations and needs happened to all align with what I was looking for. It was LITERALLY the PERFECT PLACEMENT!!!! Coincidence? I think not. Michelle is highly intelligent, professional, personable, understanding, diligent, experienced, communicative, and pleasantly charismatic and I owe my job satisfaction directly to her. Now that I think about it, maybe I should send over a bottle of wine. Thank you, Michelle, for just being so incredibly good at what you do. As I mentioned earlier, when I started this process, I read through every one of your (5 star) reviews and thought, "There's just no way every single review can be five stars..." and now here I am adding one more.

It seemed like I had landed a few dream jobs only for it to slip away from me. Really trying times. Then I met Michelle! This brings a smile to my face. Meeting with her felt like chatting with a friend. I realized after that this is her skill. She loves people and wants to represent both the families and the nannies. It was a slow period and she didn't have any job opportunities at the time when I signed up with her agency, the perfect placement. After being on the hunt for my top nanny job with a kind family for many months and it wasn't happening I was getting ready to move out of state. I mentioned to Michelle that I'm no longer looking for a position as it doesn't seem like it's going to happen. Michelle didn't give up on me. She called me with 2 opportunities. I went on both interviews and was called back to do a trial for the one that I wanted !! Yay !! Then Michelle negotiated some time off that I needed to take care of a health issue. The family was so wonderful they waited for me ! All I can say everything lined up perfectly. Michelle will always return your call in a timely manner and she always checks in to see how you're doing. I thank God I met Michelle !

While this review is dreadfully overdue, it is no less important. It is my sincere pleasure to…read morewrite this review for Naima Blasco and the Boutique Concierge team. Our travails started with Covid when our business started to suffer and we lost our father. We were inundated with paperwork, questions, decisions, processes, and nobody to help us. Something had to change, but we really didn't know what we had to change. We finally identified that running around to various mailboxes, changing addresses with the City, scanning mail, paying bills, and doing other quotidian activities was taking up an inordinate amount of time of our day, not awarding us a large return on time investment, and certainly not helping our collective mental health at all. On top of this, we had to travel quite a bit for work so these quotidian activities were piling up with inevitable consequences. A friend of mine recommended that I use a concierge service. I had never heard of the term outside a fancy hotel lobby. Enter Naima and Boutique Concierge. Mamma fricking mia. It was like a dream. They took care of everything. They picked up mail, sorted through the junk, sent relevant paperwork to the four main recipients of those mail and bills, they organized furniture delivery, they organized carpet cleaning, packing, and shipping, they organized a system to forward mail from one mailbox to another, they tirelessly wrote to various companies, city offices and other contacts to update our addresses, they helped us with the estate process of our late father... what didn't they help with?!?! What I liked best is that when I wasn't sure if a task was delegable to Naima, I could just ask! Isn't that nice? I've never felt so comfortable trusting someone enough to just ask them if they could help me with something - I felt that with Naima and still feel it today. In fact, it's helped me ask for help from others too: that's invaluable for me more than I can ever describe. I can't decide whether I value the increased productivity or the calmer mental state that I received from Naima and her team. It's of course both, but the debate between the two is almost fun in my mind. Needless to say, whichever one you want, and especially if you want both, do yourself a favor and give Boutique Concierge a call. They are meticulous, empathic, courteous, helpful, and a partner for everything you wish to do in your professional life.

I've been a client of PawsLA since 2017 and had nothing but positive things to say about the…read moreorganization. They helped me when I was at some of the lowest points in my life, truly being a blessing when I had nobody else to support me. Fast forward to 2024, and my feelings have completely changed. PawsLA is now actively involved in harming pets and shortening their lives. The animal healthcare industry operates similarly to the human healthcare system, where the main objective isn't to heal or cure but to keep individuals dependent on pharmaceuticals and keep them coming back to the doctor. Doctors and Vets make good money. They drive nice cars and live in big houses. They make alot of money (as they should ) but the fact is they are NOT trained to help anyone long term. Their goal is to not kill us but to keep us alive, sick and dependent on them. It's a business model that ensures profit, and unfortunately, the animal healthcare profession operates in much the same way. If you take just five minutes to do some research online, you'll find veterinarians and animal healthcare professionals sounding the alarm, revealing that some procedures vets suggest or encourage actually harm pets. Look up Dr. Judy Morgan or check out the 2013 UC Davis study, which found that spaying and neutering pets can increase the risk of certain cancers and orthopedic issues. Studies have shown that spaying and neutering your pets can result in: * Increased risk of joint disorders (e.g., hip dysplasia, cruciate ligament tears) * Higher likelihood of certain cancers (e.g., bone cancer, hemangiosarcoma, urinary tract cancer) * Increased risk of endocrine disorders (e.g., hypothyroidism) * Behavioral changes (e.g., increased fearfulness, anxiety, or altered aggression) * Increased tendency toward obesity * Higher risk of urinary incontinence (especially in spayed females) * Changes in coat texture or thickness * Delayed growth plate closure in large breed dogs * Potential impact on overall quality of life despite increased lifespan There will always be arguments against these points, but consider who's making them--veterinarians and organizations that profit from keeping animals sick. If you think spaying or neutering is a good thing, ask yourself: Would you spay or neuter your own child? No? Then why do it to your pet? It's not natural and we were designed to procreate . It's not my job to educate people about the negative consequences of spaying or neutering. I'm not a vet. Don't take my word for it--do your own research. But remember, vets have a vested interest in promoting these procedures, even though they might not be in your pet's best interest. PawsLA supposedly helps low-income pet owners with HIV by providing assistance with food, medical care, etc. Yet, they refuse to help anyone who doesn't spay or neuter their pets. That's strange, isn't it? How can they claim to support pet owners while refusing assistance unless the pets undergo a procedure that could potentially cause more health problems? When questioned about this policy, PawsLA's response is that they are merely enforcing the rules set by the City of Los Angeles. They claim they won't cover the cost of spaying and neutering because that would mean taking responsibility for any harm caused to the pets fr spaying and neutering. They avoid liability by sticking to these rules, all while ignoring the moral issue of potentially harming the very animals they're supposed to help. I believe the people at PawsLA genuinely care about pets and want to help, but they don't want to confront the fact that the rules they're enforcing may actually be harming the animals they serve. They say, "my hands are tied," but I think it's wrong to go along with these rules just to keep the organization afloat. I recently lost my job and am dealing with health issues that prevent me from finding stable employment. I don't have any income or assistance like SSI or unemployment insurance. I barely have enough to feed myself, let alone my dog. I turned to one of the few organizations that are supposed to help people like me, and they won't help because I refuse to put my puppy through a procedure that could harm him. PawsLA told me they aren't directly forcing me to spay or neuter my dog. True but their rules ensure that they can't offer me assistance unless I do. So, is my pet supposed to starve because I won't compromise his health? This makes no sense. This organization has blood on its hands and should be held accountable. If they didn't know what they are doing I am telling them now. Educate yourself and stop harming innocent animals.

I stopped getting contacted, and when I called I was told that my contact information was put on "inactive" so I requested that it be re-activated. It happened again and I did the same. The third time, I emailed the volunteer coordinator and never heard back. That was nine years ago. What is so amazing is that whenever I worked an event with other volunteers, they all bailed and I stayed 'til the end. It doesn't get much more dedicated than that. All I could think of is that they have plenty of volunteers and don't need my help. The last event I worked was at the dog park in Redondo Beach and I ended up adopting a kitten from the Downey shelter who had a booth next to the PAWS/LA booth. He is now 9 years old.

However, once she connected with the service provider's customer service line she transferred me and left me on their hold message for 50 minutes before the service provider's agent picked up the call. She never returned to the line to provide any relevant information to the service provider as she had stated she would. It may be true that it saves time on the front end for consumers by streamlining the sign up process, but any time saved will be wasted on the back end if any issues arise. Again, this is NOT the concierge service it is advertised as and that not only seems deceitful, it gives me the impression that the Kandela representatives are on some incentive/commission-based system with the service providers that does not reward spending the necessary time or effort to actually provide customer service to consumers.
