I ordered the roasted veggie quiche which was pre-made and heated up. It was pretty good for not being fresh. My Co worker got a beggars breakfast burrito which was made fresh next door. We were immediately greeted with great service at the register, I wish we had gotten his name! We ordered huevos rancheros with chicken and chilaquiles with chorizo. The food was so good! Well cooked, assembled, and great variety of ingredients that tasted really fresh. It also only took about 12 minutes to get our food which was perfect. The restaurant is cute and clean and has a little coffee shop attached. The shop also had a great environment and that's where we got our coffee as we waited on our food. I usually stop by here for a smoothie when passing through the area. I used to swear by the Tropical Tallac, but this time I also tried the Freel Good and I think I like that one better now. I liked the tropical Tallac so much I tried to recreate the recipe at home (not the same). It is a bit pricey for a smoothie, but I think the flavors are good! I've also had their lattes and the banana bread before and thought those were good too! The breakfast burrito is decent as well. Service is usually pretty quick! There were so many menu items we wanted to try - including some delicious sounding smoothies and healthy items. The coffee is great and my BF enjoyed his bagel breakfast sandwich a lot. When we tried to order certain food items, they mentioned the kitchen was backed up, and it would take about 30 minutes. We opted for quicker options like bagels and sandwiches, which were prepared at the coffee station and came out fast. Overall, it's a really cute place, especially outside with the lights and trees. Stopped by after tubing on our family getaway to Tahoe. Cute little cafe that serves baked goods, sandwiches, coffee, tea, etc... There were 12 of us and the young lady who took our order did it very swiftly and was so sweet. Our drinks came out quickly and when you pick up your drinks the baristas greet you with smiles. Very inviting warm decor and plenty of parking. Perfect spot right outside the busy South Lake Tahoe strip. This will be my new coffee spot when out here. As I was driving to Tahoe, I found this cute little spot. I'm a big fan of coffee, the inside is super clean, the staff is super friendly + it's at a beautiful location. And generally speaking, the coffee is reasonably good; I've certainly had worse at shops that purport to be something special. But FPC is painfully mismanaged. They have an ample number of employees, but they are so uncoordinated that wait times verge on the ridiculous. Our party ordered coffee only and it was almost a 20 minute experience from order to lips. Those ordering food waited considerably longer. Just looking at the operation showed that there was little direction. The young workforce flitted to and fro, lacking a clear sense of who should be doing what and perhaps more importantly, when. This is an indictment of the management, not of the staff struggling to meet a large customer base. Freel Perk has potential. But right now, it is the cafe equivalent of a chicken with its head cut off. read more

The coffee drinks are very good with a nice selection of various espresso options.
