I had them install a new security system on my 1982 Mercedes 380 SL and it was the worst $500.00 I have ever spent on any car I've ever owned. The system was not hooked up properly--the lights do NOT flash when the alarm sets. When I picked the car up, the stereo that was working fine no longer worked at all. They supposedly hooked it up but to the wrong power source. Now, the stereo will not maintain programmed channels. It's like the battery has been disconnected, so I have to reprogram the stereo every time I start the car. When I started to connect my Garman adapter which was running behind the floor panel on the dash, the entire panel fell in my lap and some of the floor lights had blown out during the initial install of the security system. I called and they said to bring it back supposedly to rectify the situation. They replaced the bulbs, and reattached the panel and almost got the stereo corrected. Then I found the programming problem. I called and asked what they would do about it, I am still waiting on that callback. The attitude on both encounters was that I was a nuisance, or had intentionally damaged my own car. I am now looking to find someone who knows what they doing to correct my $500.00 mistake. Had an amazing experience with these guys. I went in last Saturday, told them what I was looking to have done and they made an itemized list of what they suggested. They were very thorough and didn't try to sell or push anything extra on me. I made an appointment for today, showed up at the time and decided to wait. They said it would take about four hours so I walked down the street, had lunch and did a little shopping to kill time. Before I was done in the second store I received a text that the car was ready, it had only been three hours. They went over all the operations of the new system, showed how to connect my phone, and made sure I was satisfied with everything. UPDATE: I'm still a customer for life! Phase 2 went even better than phase 1. So at this point I've replaced the door speakers in my F-150, changed out the stereo (including the pesky F-150 reconfiguration of the center dash), added an OEM backup camera integrated in my Ford emblem on the tailgate, and added a subwoofer/amp/box. I absolutely love my truck now! Thank you Joel and Team, you all rock! PHASE 1: I have been highly impressed with my recent dealings at Freeman's Car Stereo. I worked with them to come up with the ideal plan for my car stereo needs, and we were able to finish "phase 1" flawlessly. I can't wait to come back for the subsequent phases. They were able to finally get my car fixed up with 3 amps. Sound wise everything sounds great. but.... Now I notice how several of my panels are either not attaching securely and hanging out or they are completely broken off. I will have to replace my left rear side panel, driver strip across the dash, the step cover on the passenger side is broken in 3 pieces and then put in. my gear shifter cover is broke along with my cup holder cover. Also, because they did not understand the power needed to supply the amps, my battery and alternator went out on me leaving me stranded and pushing my car on the HIGHWAY. Costing me an additional $1100 to have them replaced. THANKS... They man handled my baby and fuck you guys for that. I will upload pictures of the damage done. read more

Freeman's was recommended to me by an auto service business that put in a lot of effort, but could not find a solution to my problem. They recommended Chien Phan (Rock Hill store) as the man who could probably figure it out. And, he did. I had inoperative back up lights and camera. The Kia dealer couldn't even figure it out, and recommended a more than $2000 fix, which, as I found out today, would not have been the correct solution. Chien found the problem and solved it in less than 2 hours, including putting everything back together. I am amazed and thrilled. I brought my new 2018 F-250 in for quotes on having WeatherTech floor mats and Sirius XM Radio installed. Chien answered all my questions and introduced me to Joel. I walked in without an appointment and within just a few minutes, Joel was able to help me select the correct stereo system for my pickup and had all the features I was looking for. I bought a used car with an aftermarket alarm system. There was only one twenty year old key fob standing between me and a complete disabling of the car. I called Freeman's around noon on a Saturday and the manager told me they could help that day. Within a couple of hours my car was back to the factory system and they charged a very reasonable rate. We'd purchased from Ebay, an OEM AM/FM 6 Disc CD unit for this specific 2007 Avalon, and when it was installed Carmelo pointed out, there was an Error reading from the unit. We were able to ship that unit back to the sender for full refund, and Carmelo installed a Pioneer unit, that was recommended by Freeman's and it is excellent. I had the stereo in my Lincoln MKX diagnosed and repaired at Freemans in Rock Hill, SC. It is a complex system with sync and navigation and they found the issue and repaired it for a very reasonable price. If I had gone to my dealership it would have cost me considerably more.
