I received a call from Sabrina who said that the crew had finished another job early and if it was alright to show up before lunch. The crew arrived and Bruce started working while his was eating their lunch. Long story short, they were done and gone with 2 hours of arrival and the trees were removed and the area cleared of storm debris. Very reasonable and efficient. The team took down about 13 trees for me in about 5 hours and they were clearly experienced. However, the clean up process left me wanting more. Unfortunately the team showed up a day after a heavy rain and my entire back yard took a beating, as did the lot next to me where they drove the log truck and bobcat. Additionally, the road in front of my driveway was covered with mud and I'm in a community with an HOA. I asked Josh about clean up, and he said the team would rake it over and clean up the road before they left, which they didn't. Josh even said he would come back and help me spread grass seed and straw over the lot beside me if I would go purchase, which I did but he never showed. I even asked if Josh would come back after the stump grinding to help grade the back area and I would pay him over his normal rate for two hours of work, and he agreed. That's where the transaction went sideways. Josh was hard to get in touch with and never showed back up. He didn't call to negotiate for more money or anything. The few texts I received just said I will be out this weekend or sometime next week. Three weeks later I called and left him a voicemail and said not to worry about coming back. I was left with about 25 hours worth of work and additional expenses for equipment rentals. Just beware what you are getting into when you hire for tree services. I was left with a mess for a backyard, many hours of labor and several hundred dollars of additional expenses for more work to the area before it will be considered "finished." Might be wise to ask your contractor these types of questions upfront and avoid unmet expectations. Price was competitive, tree work was good, cleanup and communication was poor, and follow thru was lacking. Best of luck if you choose these guys in the future!

We highly recommend LTRC Tree Specialists! We had a very…read morelarge pine tree in our backyard suddenly start losing bark with a large chipped out section of wood. Because we'd a pair of pileated woodpeckers make a large hole/nest in a nearby tree the previous year, our first thought was that they were at it again. The canopy on the top of the pine was green and very full but with further inspection, we discovered the tree had pine beetle damage so we knew that the tree had dead wood. We contacted multiple tree companies to come out, give us their recommendation, and provide an estimate. Some of the companies did not respond to our request while others did not respond in a timely manner. LTRC was very responsive and provided us a bid via email that was reasonable given the work that needed to be done (as well as identifying 2 other smaller trees that needed attention). We had 3 bids and decided to use LTRC as they were highly recommended by a neighbor and our subdivision had recently used them for trimming up trees. Communication with Gary McGarry (the owner) and Joy Escobedo (leader of crew and very skilled tree guy) was excellent! We were able to secure a tree removal permit from the City of Milton in a timely manner. We signed the contact and waited to get on their schedule. In the meantime, several storms with high winds came threw and the tree started breaking and leaning badly. We were concerned about safety as we often have kids come into our backyard to play in the nearby creek and treehouse. The situation became dangerous and LTRC made our project a priority and worked quickly to schedule a time that worked for all of us. The crew showed up on time and were very, very professional! They put plywood down to protect our wet lawn as they needed to bring equipment into our yard. They worked very hard to drop the tree in sections prior to the big drop and were able to drop the large section of tree perfectly so that it did not damage our property or other trees. The guys did an excellent job cleaning up and smoothing out the natural area by the tree as well as our driveway where their chipping equipment was used. LTRC was great to work with from beginning to end and we really appreciated the excellent communication prior to and the day of the work. LTRC will be the first company we call in the future!
