I think we all know how pricey Bean's can be. Which is why we hit the sales when they come, every time. I saw such cute sweaters and jackets, and the keychains all the girlies were crazy for last summer. Those keychains are EXPENSIVE though - $26 for a small charm and loop of cord? Crazy if you ask me. I snagged one of the Three Potato Four keychains for $11, which I thought was reasonable. Every staff member we met was so incredibly friendly, so even if you don't buy anything, just browsing is still fun. They ask if you need help, wish you good morning, but it doesn't feel too constant which can sometimes happen elsewhere.

I actually still have the backpack somewhere at home & it held up well... 14 years later. Super spacious & held all of the many textbooks I used to have to carry around as a kid, with EASE. I honestly still have so much love for the brand & wear my shearling-lined Bean boots every winter, as well as their wicked good moccasins! I believe I had gotten the bean boots as a gift ALMOST 10 years ago and never thought about replacing them because to this day, they still look brand new! Very comfortable & WARM. Anyways, I absolutely love visiting L.L Bean in Freeport, ME & btw, you have to visit all their stores in this campus. They have their Flagship store, this outlet store, & speciality stores (home, fishing, biking, & ski gear).

The store is super cute and all of the employees are super friendly. Go to toad & co and get yourself a pair of blundys!!! I searched VERY HARD for a pic of my blundys so u better appreciate

The real problem for me was despite the fact there were quite a few people working there on a not very busy weekday no one offered me one minute of salesmanship or assistance. No one said hello when I walked in. No one asked me if I needed help. A bunch of wanna be hipsters roamed lethargically about the store doing who knows what. Not much. I tried on a top. I liked it so went to to the register to purchase it. Nary a greeting was uttered by the lackluster guy at the register. And after paying more than I should have in retrospect for the top, this lamebrain took it from the tousled heap he had made of it on the counter and deposited said "heap" into the bag. Oh...he asked me first if I wanted a bag. I had a tiny purse with me and nothing else. Yes, I want a bag even though in your eyes you want to make me out as a wasteful person hence your question because in this day and age no one should want a bag...ever. I am not going to walk out of there with a shirt slung over my bare arm. "Just give me a freaking bag", I wanted to yell. My husband thought I should return the overpriced top after such crappy service but that meant I would have had to spend more time in this awful store. After the payment transaction and before leaving the counter, I took my too expensive top out of the bag and proceeded to fold it properly as should have been done to begin with. Wanna be hipster dude said: "I would have done that for you!" Well, dude, why didn't you? Don't bother with this store. Ugh.

We decided to…read moretry the Levi's Outlet Store and the first pair of jeans I picked up were 30% off the retail price. Awesome, well not so much as original price was 89.99 for the pair of children's jeans. Yeah, no way am I paying nearly $90 for a pair of jeans which have holes in them. As I continued to look around it would seem they are rebranding as a high-end clothing store or they advertise 30-40% after they raise the prices. I looked at my wife and we exited the store immediately as the prices were not reasonable at all. Staff was non-existent as they just stare at you while you walk around. They don't say hi and they don't offer to help. Pretty horrible experience if you ask me.

At first, I thought, "Is that a German Shepherd?" one of my favorite dog breeds. I shrugged it off and kept shopping, but then I saw a large white dog roaming the store with its owner--definitely not a service animal. The dog seemed to be having a "bark-off" with another large dog sitting by its owner. While I love dogs, I wasn't expecting to encounter such a noisy situation while shopping. I believe stores should maintain a peaceful environment for all customers, and I don't think dogs (unless they're service animals) should be allowed inside. This experience did detract from my visit, and I hope store management reconsiders its pet policy in the future.
