From the second we walked in we were given clear instructions. It was so well organized. They had a seating chart, we just had to give our ID and a staff member walked us to the table. It was bring your own bottle, and bring your own food And they provided us with the paint brushes the paint the water, as well as the canvas. We were also given smocks,I had a custom happy birthday smock At the very beginning the staff introduced themselves. They had great music playing, and we got to follow along with the lead paint instructor, and in between paintings we got to play different games. We even got to announce our birthdays, they also did little contests in between to keep the energy up! Overall it was a 10 out of 10 experience if you have not done something like this before, give it a try, I can't wait to do it again!!

I suffered a severe emergency and missed my class and following up with the company as soon as I was able to and was told that I can get zero refund or reschedule. So I am out $200+ dollars. I understand small business cant take a loss on the supplies but it isn't like they couldn't be used in another class. A full or partial refund or reschedule would've helped me a lot in a time of need due to the emergency. I realized just how easy it is to learn online and will be going that route. 1/10 overall. Edit to update: 50% off of a future class????? Like I'm going to come back when you can't give some grace for a mental health CRISIS .. not a "mental health day". I was not in a state to notify ahead of time or I would have. I didn't just forget to put you on my calendar. Just because you're a small business doesn't mean you shouldn't treat people like people if anything you should more so. That is what makes good word of mouth for small businesses. I have plenty of other sources I'd rather get help from. That have good business practice and don't steal peoples money when they're down.

When my daughter moved to Eastpoint around 2014, the building that houses The ArtsXchange was merely a shuttered old elementary school. About a year later the ArtsXchange opened up and we went to an event for Mothers Day that was a local singer, performing for mothers and daughters in the local community. The first two pictures are from that. At the time my friend, Todd Mack was conducting youth music and composition workshops and camps to bridge communication and philosophical divides between the Faiths: Jewish, Muslim & Christian. It was/is Music In Common. I talked to the managers about his program and they put up the flyers and distributed to the community. My daughter moved. Tyler Perry Studios moved in at Fort McPherson and the neighborhood that once had gunfire at night and drug houses down the street began to transform. I had the opportunity to return to ArtsXchange recently for Music In Common's 20th anniversary celebration. I was delighted to see there were many local residents in attendance. In talking to them it was clear that the ArtsxChange had become a vibrant part of the fabric of the community --- for regular scheduled meetups, unique creative performances, classes and workshops, lectures, and so much more. The exterior has been painted with lovely murals. It brings a heartbeat to a community in transition. The drug houses and gunfire are gone. Residents are creatives working at Tyler Perry Studio, active retirees, and young families seeking to live in diverse neighborhoods. The location is convenient to downtown Atlanta and the airport. The food scene is on the rise. The people that operate ArtsXchange are very committed to making sure every visitor feels appreciated. It is a great place to host an event too.

There are several Black owned businesses on this space and most are Black woman owned businesses. I loved the concept of Koncept House. I am planning to spend a day here. You can make soap, candles, other body care, have a drink, and shop all in one spaces. There are so many businesses here. The walls of the building are lined with beautiful artwork that you can also purchase. Parking is tight though. They have space behind the building and used to have a lot across the street. They day we came, the lot owner revoked access, so we had to all squeeze into the lot behind the building. There are a few spaces on the street next to an apartment building also. My friends and I are already planning a trip back to visit the many businesses in this building.
