By default, I was with Forest for a long time.. I was on my parents' plan (back when they went by…read moreanother name) and as an adult stayed with Forest. My parents left forest awhile ago. They were unsatisfied with how much they were paying and their rude agent. I had little, but generally very pleasant interactions with my agent until recently. When I needed to drop my ex and his car off of my plan, they would not help me. My ex would not sign the documents needed to get off of the plan and Forest said there was nothing they could do. Not their fault, I agree. But curious, I inquired with another company. According to my new agent (Country) there are ways around this situation but they were not willing to help me. I assume this is because I wasn't worth their time, with my small insurance plans. So I stopped paying for my car coverage and was dropped from the plan. Not an issue, we all move on, right? Wrong. After I canceled my Home insurance, and submitted my Quit Claim Deed to show that my ex no longer owned my home, Forest sent me my refund check with his name on it! I assume this was to intentionally cause me more headache, luckily, I was able to cash the check with ease and deposit it back into my escrow account. Truth be told, I have much more coverage needs coming soon and I am absolutely ecstatic that it won't be through Forest Agency.

I called Navy Insurance and spoke with a young lady name Tania at the Cermak location. She was very patience and informative in the situation that I was in. She kept me calm and explained my situation and explained what I needed to do to resolve my issue. She advised me that she will personally follow up the next day and thats exactly what she did. I can be a handful when I dont get great service but Tania made it very difficult for me to get upset at her by the way she handled the situation, kudos to her. I have worked with this office for several years, from homeowners' insurance to life insurance…read more This time I was interested in getting a few more policies, I left a voicemail and didn't hear back, went to there website and completed a "contact me" tab on the site still nothing. I finally called again and spoke with Melissa who stated she was unaware that I had left a voicemail several days earlier but that she would talk to her staff. I explained to her what I needed, she said okay I will email you over some policy options that we can over versus what you currently have and bring your mother so we can go over her policy options. She said I close at 6pm but I understand you are coming after work and will wait for you, I get there with at 5:56pm the door was locked, I knocked a lady answered I explained I had an appointment with Melissa, she said have a seat, went to talk to Melissa 20 minutes later we are still there waiting....We walked out, I should have known after not getting a call back that customer service would be lacking. I will be calling tomorrow (hopefully there answer) to cancel my policy.

Clearly the individual leaving the one and only review for this company must be an employee…read more I called this company while doing comparable shopping for insurance quotes and received none of the professionalism listed above. What I did receive was rudeness. The first time I called the guy that answered the phone stated that he could not hear me and simply hung up. Even though I thought this was rude, I gave the benefit of the doubt and called back. When the same guy answered, I advised that I was calling to get an insurance quote and he actually stated, "Maybe you should try calling back later, everyone here in the office is to busy right now for that." I actually laughed, thanked him and moved on with my search. I'm writing this review for other customers to save them the time in calling this company. Clearly, this guy showed no concern with acquiring a potential customer-maybe in his opinion, they have all they need right now. I can only imagine how they treat the customers that they already have. The terribly sad part in this is that most of the time management has no clue that they have employees that treat customers this way and only come to work for a check and could truly care less about providing stellar customer service or retaining customers for their employer. I suggest management seeks out better employee's or more customer service training. While their prices may be lower than another insurance agency, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would appreciate great customer service in addition to low prices. Potential customers, please know that this seems to be a case of, "You get what you pay for."
