I asked for a full coverage, this is my first car and I wasn't that equipped knowledge wise, so I guess they picked on that. They did a policy for me with just a liability coverage instead. I was not aware about it. And when the time X came, turned out it wasn't a full coverage and now I have bunch of problems because of them. Of course, each broker moves differently, can't blame every person in that office. But read the papers before signing anything and assume the worst. Don't do businness at this location Clairemont they have the worst customer service ever!! They don't help you with your insurance needs and are f***** rude!! Don't call On Freeway Insurance Services for any of their offered services. They will end up costing you more in time, money and stress than you might save by using them, by far! For almost 20 years I, I have been a paying customer of Freeway Insurance out of sheer laziness.. NO MORE! Apparently something as complicated as inputting my vin number has been impossible, sending me to the DMV EVERY YEAR because they are too incompetent to enter a 9digit number correctly. Never offered to cover any of the penalties they caused or time they wasted. They take commissions on top of your insurance cost to be your "handler"; They have a filthy dark office with stained walls and carpets. All they do is what you can do. Call a bunch of different carriers and pick the best price on your own and BOYCOTT FREEWAY INSURANCE!!! Now, they took $500 from me to start a new level of service and canceled my insurance a month later without any communication. My insurance is not $500 a month. There was no contact. I have finally found the time to be able to sit down and write about my experience with Freeway Insurance. I had the pleasure of working with Shane the other day in finding a good enough quote that was cheaper than what I was paying at AAA! He was very patient and understanding and answered every and any question I had right from the start. I was a little hesitant at first because of hidden fees that can get tacked on here and there but he was very straight forward and helped me throughout the whole process and explained every little detail! Unfortunately for me I have a bit of a track record with a couple traffic tickets within the last three years (hence being a new driver and all) but he was able to offer me an affordable deal that won't break my bank! If I could give it no stars I would!!! Unless you want to get scammed do NOT go to freeway insurance. They are a complete scam and will lie to you to get money. I promise you we are not the only people that was lied to! They told us that they were a free service to us and they get paid from insurance company's directly for referring customers to them. Which is lie #1. Then we were told after we got our new insurance company that we had to pay $500. Part of that was for our first months bill and the rest was goin to be spread out to our future payments to make them a little lower. Which was lie #2! Freeway Insurance DBA as Stonewood Insurance is relentless in forcing their car insurance but policies down your throat. My son called the location located in Los Angles, Ca telephone number (323)526-9000 to inquire about insurance quotes and since then I have received numerous calls along with missed calls from one of their agents. When I attempt to call them to ask them to please stop calling I was hung up on immediately when I called back no answer. I tried to contact their Customer Service Line and was placed on hold for over 10min which should have been only 1min according to the recording. My next move is to contact The State Of California Insurance Commission to report them for Harassment. Please do not contact either of these insurance company for quotes because the will never stop calling . read more

Update: received a call twice a day for the last three days by random brokers from this firm asking me to get a policy with them. Each time I told him I already had a policy at half the price. Each and every time they would not stop asking me who it was and how much. I asked them each time to take me off the call list and each time they over talk me. I'm glad that some of you got a decent quote from this company, but you did pay brokerage fees and a higher price. If you're happy with that, then great. If you're happy being harassed by rookie salesman, great Anyone can test my theory. Callthem and they will ask you for a down payment to get the policy started. Ask them if that down payment is to be reduced from the total quote cost they gave you, and they will say no they will say it is a "down payment to start the policy" (aka brokerage fee). And if you ask, you will not get a formal quote that shows your monthly payment, the total amount of the policy, and what the extra money is you're paying to " start the policy". Just tried to get a quote from "Nadar" and played the used car salesman game. Quoted $135 per month ($135x12 is $1620...remember that number for later). I had a few dmv dings but had been insured by A++ paper (USAA) before my divorce so never had to use a "broker" service before. I was told it would cost me about $400 to start of which $135 would be my first payment. I would be making that for the next 11 months. I asked Nadar for the total cost of my policy on a formal quote form ( always ask for this as a .pdf as its an official contract). I get an email back saying my total is $1820. If my $400 is a "downpayment" to start the policy, in a REAL insurance contract, that would be deducted from the total cost of $1620 and the remaining amount ($1220) paid over 11 months at around $126. Nope... When pressed he couldn't admit it was a broker surcharge and instead tried to offer "deals" for "today and only today..." to close the deal. Eventually willing to drop it down to $1700. Rookie sales... Ended the travesty with a DNC and lecture on being honest. You have been warned my Dear comrades.. Roll to AAA or any non broker company. read more

Well my last post got taken down a couple years ago. I went in there with a down payment, calculated the monthly payments and what not. Just like what others are saying, I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere. It may be enticing because it's cheap. But when you look over the contract you'll be surprised you'll be shelling out more if/when you have any accidents or problem. Tried getting my money back the same day, had given them money in cash and the manager said he "couldn't open the safe because once money is dropped there's no way he can open it". Yeah... okay. There were more negative reviews about this place than what it is up now. Guess they're trying to sweep their bad reviews under the rug. Ha! I'd rather pay more with the insurance I have now than being with this kind of business. read more

Shady customer service. They have you sign a stack of papers, charge your account a lot of money and then tell you there is nothing they can do to help you or refund your money. Horrible people, horrible service. They give you a great price over the phone but when you show up at their office they give you a completely different price! I was sure fooled, and when I asked if charged a broker fee they said NO! Forgive me, I was sure that freeway insurance was its own insurance company, not an insurance service. And completely convinced me that the $300 fee that I was putting down was a down payment. Complete BS. I constantly asked my agent what I was paying for but he continued to give me sketchy answers that weren't dead on. But I was cut from my parents insurance so I had to get insurance on my own, asap. I also called to cancel my insurance, and Edgar was so rude. He talked to me like I was an idiot. He picked up the phone saying "this is Edgar with freeway insurance what can I help you with?" I explained to him that I cancelled my policy through a different insurance company and will not be paying the remainder of your brokers fee. He was quiet for a few minutes and said again, " okaayy.. What can I help you with?" And continued to be rude. DO NOT GO TO FREEWAY INSURANCE!! They're scammers and don't care about your well being. Can't even explain that there so called "down payment" is actually just a huge unnecessary brokers fee that puts money into their pockets.
