Charles not only lacks the knowledge of what's required to register a vehicle, but he also refused to refund my $145 overpayment.He against my judgement decided to write down the model number for the engine number( clearly incorrect)all because he didn't know where to find it.Them he filled out the paperwork a second time by listing that he had proof of a registration card ,which was also Wrong( it wasn't even registered,had No plates !! ) what i did provide was a legally signed bill of sale ,that he chose not to provide( again against my decision) well because of his mistakes dmv sent me to CHP now .They also highlighted his mistakes and requested a reg 124 form.Which he was oblivious to and did not provide to me.I had to wait 4 weeks for the appt and when I got there the officer explained to me ALL of Charles mistakes and said now I have to go have DMV reinspect it correctly and fill out reg124 ,which I waited in line 30 min and had done,then I went inside to dmv and waited 45 min to receive a reg 124 but still had to return to CHP to fill it out.So I drove all the way back to CHP waited 30 min and was told ,I needed to make a NEW appt w CHP ( which is another 30 day wait )When I called CIO registration 3 x and 0 answer I knew I was in trouble.Charles said just write me a check for oh say $250 to reg and title,I thank God said WHAT it's a $100 vehicle how can it possible be that much ,he said well I just have to make sure I have enough,so unagteeably I wrote for $200 and he said he would refund if over .Well it was over by $145 and he is now after wasting 5 hours of my time ( filling out paperwork incorrectly)AND 8 weeks waiting for CHP appt.Both DMV and CHP pointed out that some of these reg services are totally clueless as they have NO formal training !! I came to Charles after hitting multiple dead-ends trying to get my vehicle registered. I'd been misled when I purchased it out of state, and was given an invalid title, among multiple other hurdles. I was in a bad spot. The Mrs. were cruising and I hit a dip that bottomed out the bike. When we got home, the license plate was gone. We went back and searched but didn't find it. I went back the next day but didn't find it. It was Sunday, memorial weekend so no DMV and the bike was down. Just as a long shot, I called Cio and Charles answered the phone at 10:37 on Sunday. He told me that he opened at 12:00 and I could come in at 12:30. I got there and in 10 minutes I had a new license plate, tags and registration. I couldn't believe it! In January, I went for vehicle registration when I transferred title on a car I bought from my son. 3 mos. later, DMV notified me that the paperwork he submitted wasn't complete. I went back in and was given it, which I had to mail in myself. This was April 27th. I still cannot get my vehicle registration and he refuses to help me. I had the most horrible experience here. I'd give it no stars if I could. I came here to get my motorcycle registered after buying it from a private party. First, the website and hours posted on the door say the office opens at 9am. In reality, they open whenever the guy feels like getting there which on this day was 10:30. Second, the whole point of going to one of these registration places is so you don't have to go to the DMV and waste hours of your life. This guy charged me $60 and told me I needed and extra form. I got the form filled out and came back. Then he tells me I have to go to the DMV anyway and refuses to finish the registration or refund my $60. I went to the DMV and was told by the clerk that all my paperwork was in order and the registration service absolutely COULD have finished the registration no problem. 1016am and no one is here. The guy I talked to last week told me to come at 10am and no one is here, called the office and a woman answered saying he may have just stepped out. Don't waste your time, the lady was nice and offered to come pick up my papers which I appreciate it but regardless of the fact was that they should have been on their office.
