Bad Bad Bad. Just run. Policy through Infinity Kemper. My wife has been on the high-risk policy with Freeway for 18 months. Today we called to cancel. We were routed to seven (7) different people. Sometimes forwarded, sometimes given a number to call. She spoke to two (2) of these people twice. Many minutes on hold. On one occasion the phone clicked off while on hold. Ultimately she got to the right person, Carlos, that was very helpful. Total time was 1:07. And to be fair, my wife did collect on one small fender bender accident. We got a policy through them - the carrier being Infinity Kemper. Never had a claim - but two days before expiration of the policy, we called to ask about the cost of a possible extension (this was the 17th when the renewal was 19th). The company cancelled the policy instead (without our knowledge), charging us a 20 dollar late cancellations fee. When I saw it on the portal, I freaked out, called them back - no accountability. No way to reinstate it either, we were on hold for what seemed like eternity and it became clear there was no proper customer service or supervisor to fix it. So my car ended up uninsured, and I had to get the help from another agent...same day, and get a temporary 2 day insurance until we switched to our better insurance that Sunday. Chris Landry my agent does not answer calls, texts or emails. I ended up returning the car after 1 day because my mechanic said it was not good. Called to cancel and they said they need a letter from the dealer stating I never bought the car to cancel. This is ridiculous. They keep trying to take it on my credit card but I disabled transactions on it. I'm not paying insurance for a car I don't have. And I want my $143 I paid down. My dealings with this company have been a nightmare. My sales rep has been Natividad Marin, and he has been beyond awful. When initially on the phone with him, I expressed concerns about the date of coverage and the reputation of the insurer he recommended. He dismissed both of my concerns and pressed me to move ahead with the policy at that moment. The next morning, I requested an immediate cancellation of my policy. It's been over 48 hours and the cancelation has still not been done. He sent me a cancelation form with the wrong date on it. I said I wouldn't sign until he put the correct date. He then said I needed to send him the declarations page of my current insurance - which I have done. Still, no response. In fact, one of his emails says he doesn't see why he should help me. Horrible business. I paid a premium up front of $430 with $117 monthly payments. I was told over the phone that I would be setup on autopay. That was false and they never had me on autopay. They then cancelled my policy without notice or warning because I hadn't made a payment within the month because again I had been told I was on autopay. They refuse to give me my money back and will not reinstate or re open my policy. I'm 23 years old and I work very hard for my money. I live on my own and have no help. That is a lot of money to be pocketing for no service provided. I now have to go through the state board of insurance to try to get my money back. They even tried to set me up with another policy for another premium payment of $250 and higher monthly payments. Why would I give you guys more money after you took $430 from me. I had tried to find a new insurance company with several insurance companies and got no where. So I figured I would try a broker or a one stop shop for insurance. I called in and I was glad with the results of rates and so I asked if I could set it up for when my current policy ended. I called on the tenth of the month and my policy was going to end on the 28th. The guy that answered the phone was doing a great job. He said he was going to get me to a person who can review and approve my policy. The lady that took over was not as friendly as the first guy. She said that because the start date is so far out she will not underwrite it and that I should call back when I am only a day or two away. She said that she would send me the information on my policy to be and how to get it done. Never got it. I'm wondering if I was going to get a bait and switch deal. I asked her to set me up and if the price goes up or down a couple bucks I will be okay with it. She quickly replied saying that it is not always a couple bucks it can be a larger amount so just call us back. Then the call ended. I had it on speaker phone so I can get ready for work so I don't believe I ended the call. Crazy things do happen. read more

All I needed was to remove a car from my policy. The Freeway agent proceeded to charge me 100$ to make a policy change. TO REMOVE MY CAR!?!? He neglected to tell me that I could have called Infinity instead and they wouldn't have charged me 100$. Very disappointed with the lack of information, and refusal for a refund. Freeway might be cheaper but they make up for it with ridiculous charges like this one. Not insuring my next car with Freeway. I'll do some research and go with a more expensive insurance that won't take advantage of me and charge me ridiculous "policy change fees." Update: I was contacted by another agent, Gerry, and he helped me out with the situation. Very satisfied with his help. I'm glad this was addressed and corrected. read more

I've paid late fees because when I call to update my debit card they don't update it correctly so I'm stuck with a late fee that they say they cannot waive fees . This review is long overdue after receiving the absolute most stellar customer service from Carlos Morales. After searching quite extensively for an affordable policy that would suit my needs, FREEWAY exceeded my expectations and gave me exactly what I was looking for. My fiance and I were somewhat happy with our previous insurance company until policy renewal time came. We assumed that we would stay with the same company until we were informed that our renewal fee was far more than we had anticipated paying and were further disappointed when our company had little desire to work with us on payment during the covid-19 pandemic. I decided to call Freeway Insurance upon a recommendation. I was told that FREEWAY offered competitive rates and was initially reluctant. I had called at least 5 other insurance companies - none of which were able to even match or offer anything comparable to what we had already been paying. I explained in depth the kind of policy that I was seeking as well as what I was hoping to pay in addition to the ideal cost of the Premium. I was intently listened to, asked relevant questions and immediately matched with insurance companies that offered inexpensive rates. FREEWAY is very informative and willing to work with customers. After carefully reiterating my needs as I came to conclusive decisions, my phone call lasted 30 minutes. I was unwilling to settle with a policy that I was not 100% comfortable with but my agent remained patient, friendly and reassuring. FREEWAY goes above and beyond to ensure that their customers are not paying any rate or Premium deemed too high or unreasonable. To my surprise, my expectations were greatly exceeded. I received a policy that was significantly lower than what I was paying. My agent also worked with me on my Premium. I was set up right away. He was highly professional and the entire process was extremely quick and easy. I was also offered a variety of payment options to suit my needs. This is by far the worst insurance broker I have EVER worked with. I got a policy with them on April 3rd about 20 minutes before they closed, so it was a rushed ordeal. I provided mine and my sons drivers license information and requested we both be on the policy. Mind you, he is the legal owner of both vehicles on the policy. I was quoted and accepted and signed the contract. I am at fault for not seeing my son was not on the contract I signed, but he was in fact included in the quote and entire conversation. After a week with the policy my son was involved in an accident and that is when we found out he's not on the policy as a an insured driver. The insurance company has now decided to cancel our policy. I have tried speaking to multiple people at freeway and not only are they not helpful, they are incredibly rude. They refuse to take any ownership for not including him on the policy and refuse to listen to or provide a copy of the conversation that their OWN system says it recorded at the time of the call. They are completely unwilling to help and went as far to say I am in collections because I refuse to pay the balance of the downpayment. The insurance company informed me I will get ALL money back , including my downpayment , however Freeway just told me they are lying and I will "not receive a cent". I strongly recommend you use literally any other broker. This company is awful, they take no responsibly for their wrong doing. read more

AVOID THESE SCAM ARTISTS LIKE THE BLACK PLAGUE. I was contacted by Freeway Insurance Agent by the name of Mashayla Dunn she informed me that I would have to pay $20 down on December 4th to get my policy started for a car I was potentially going to purchase. She then said the next day I would then be billed the remaining $234.00. She sent me over documents that I was unable to view but she encouraged me to sign it and that everything was good. I then typed my name and signed after viewing a blank PDF. I was never sent copies of my documents as well. I then went to the dealership and backed out of the purchase and didnt buy nor even test drive the car. I then called them to cancel and they told me I needed to send in a written letter I emailed it immediately. Two days went by and I got concerned so I called them and they told me I needed a 'Unwind Letter" to get my full refund and that I would only be receiving a partial refund of $88. I was finally able to get the Unwind letter today after having to explain this ridiculous experience with the dealership and the multiple times I contacted them about the necessity of getting this document in ASAP. I woke up today from harassing phone calls from another agent by the name of Victor Vizcarra this individual provided me with THE WORST customer service I have ever received in my life. It turned out that he was calling me in regards to why my account declined a $180 payment that was due. I was completely puzzled because I canceled this policy weeks ago and he said the remaining down payment was still due I told him I was told it was $254. He then became very disrespectful on the phone I lost my cool cussed him out and asked for his supervisor multiple times and he refused and continued to harass and talk over me. These people are full blown extortionists and they are stealing my money charging me for a product I never received. They practice extremely shady business tactics lying about the down payment needed and sending blank PDFs to clients and encouraging 5 star reviews read more
