I was experiencing some rough shifting issues in a 2016 dodge challenger. It's not mine, but I'm blessed to be able to use it for work at the moment. I was referred by my mechanic to 2 other shops, but I did some extra research and decided on going here. Gordon at the front desk helped me out on a Friday. I walked in and I was told an appointment is recommended, but if I wanted to leave the car today maybe a technician could take a look at it by end of day. It's $150 to do a diagnostic and that $150 goes towards your estimate if something needs to be fixed. Most definitely Monday I would get an estimate. So I left it over the weekend. Gordon called me Monday to hit me up with the details. He was gracious enough to explain it to me multiple times so I understood. I then researched common problems with my car's year and model. Sure enough there were quite a few complaints on exactly what Gordon said I needed fixed. Which was the center bearing of the driveline. It was worn out causing the driveline to wobble around and it needed to be fixed sooner than later. Unfortunately Gordon explained the part does not come alone. You have to buy the whole driveline that comes with the center bearing. (These corporate bastards lol) He also explained that the part was in stock at the dealership, so they must know this is a problem and happens, but aren't doing anything about it like a recall. I decided to go ahead and fix it. The car was done by Tuesday afternoon. Upon pickup Gordon had the old driveline out, so I could see exactly what they fixed. My experience here was great. I am so impressed with the customer service, efficiency and speed of this company! I bought a 1989 Chevy from my Uncle that he had gotten a quote for a new transmission on months prior and when I called, spoke with Keith they honored the quote they gave my uncle even though the truck had switched ownership. Not only that, we dropped off the truck on Tuesday, they said it would be finished that Friday, but they finished it and we picked it up early afternoon that Thursday. I drove the truck and it is doing great. You can tell these guys take pride in their work. We even get a 500 mile check up on it to make sure everything is still running good. Wish I could have left zero star rating. After a quick call to the salty Keith at this location, and being told his "professionals" could diagnose an axle related problem, and give me the "second opinion" I had asked for, (no promise of having my work done there) I took in my Ford Superduty truck. I waited my turn, as I was basically a walk in customer, no problem there! The mechanic eventually made it to my vehicle and took it for a spin. He returned and informed me that he was unable to duplicate the problem. I was afraid of that as this is an intermittent problem. I offered to drive with him in hopes of a duplication. No joy. While driving, I asked the technician about the anatomy of my Dana Super 60 axle, of which I am very familiar. He had no idea what I was talking about and seemed rather surprised at the details of this axle. While his lack of knowledge in this field was staggering, I do not blame him AT ALL!!! So, who do I blame? Yup, Keith. He has the bed-side manner of a bed-pan, and misdirected me as to his, and by extension, his staff's knowledge. He may know transmissions, but I SERIOUSLY DOUBT IT! I was a professional auto mechanic of 14 years. I always repair my own vehicles, I know my stuff, but I'm also smart enough to get a second opinion before spending hundreds or possibly thousands on repairs. Apparently not smart enough to get that second opinion from simply looking for "auto repair near me" on my smartphone. In the end, no diagnosis was made by freeway, and no money was exchanged. Their incompetence saw to that! So, if you wanna roll the dice, this is the place for you!! Keith, you need work, you @ hole. You don't talk the talk, OR walk the walk of the professional technician. Go back to holding the "welcome" sign at the door of the local seafood restaurant, you may still be qualified to do that. read more

Last year I brought my 99 Mustang in (they don't only do transmissions). because the heat would not blow on defrost. I was told the dash would need to be taken out to replace a part that had gone out. Had my car back the next day and no problems since. I then bought an additional car last summer. Recently it started making a knock noise when ever I would stop or take off. I was assuming the worst ( a caliper or a cv joint). I brought it in to Keith. He said the holes in the rim where the studs go were ovaled because the lug nuts weren't on tight and strongly suggested I get a new rim. Money is tight and he knew this so he suggested I go to a local self serve wrecking yard and get a used rim. He knew I was planning on new tires anyway andvtold me to bring the new rim to the tire store and have them install it while i was getting new tires. His priceless advice cost me nothing and he could have made up things and charged me thousands to fix things that didn't need to be fixed but he didn't. The following week my daughter couldn't get her car to start. I called Keith and he went over and picked it up the next day. My daughter was expecting to put quite a bit of money into fixing this problem since her car is 10 yrs old and has a lot of miles on it. Keith once again showed his honesty as a mechanic and done several tests and told her all she needed was a new battery and charged her for the battery and towing only. Again he could have made a lot of money by fixing things that didn't need to be fixed but he didn't. I have recommended him to several people and will continue to do so. A little over 4 years ago I took my truck a Ford F 250 into Keith at Freeway Transmission They did the repair and it cost me $3100 as I had no forward gears only reverse worked. My truck which was my fathers (now deceased) Was used occasionally to tow his 5th wheel trailer. The truck had 124000 miles on it. Last summer I had a Toyota Scion XD that had 70000 miles on it, I took it to Keith and he sad it needed a transmission and it would be $3500 to rebuild as it was totally gone. On the way home the transmission snapped out of limp mode and was then fine. At the advice of a mechanic I put some Lucas transmission shift improver in after removing one quart of fluid, car has been fine since. In August my truck started acting up,(13,000 miles after rebuild) on a trip to a camp spot, it would not shift down then on the way home it was shifting really hard. After the trans cooled I pulled the batteries and after an hour reconnected them.. The truck would not shift at all out of 3rd gear, If I shifted into 2nd It would work. I thought that maybe it was the Computer so I sent it out to be checked and repaired. Put back in after and no change. Took it to Freeway and Keith said that It needed a complete rebuild again, $2500 he said that they were giving me an $800 discount as the trans only went 13,000 miles. I took the truck to another Trans Shop.Terrible, not standing behind their work as it clearly was an error in the rebuild process. read more

The service here was outstanding had a transmission installed by them 7 months ago and a part on the car damaged the transmission that had nothing to do with what they did and they was willing to look at it figure out what was wrong and what caused it. They then said they would fix it and cover it under the warranty we just had to pay for the price of the new part how awesome is that Keith and his team are the best I recommend anyone needing a transmission to go see them.
