You have many hotel options in the Bay Area. Fremont Marriott is one of my favorites because of value and consistency. This property is actually a bit of a drive from my office in Santa Clara, but the drive is worth it when compared with the pricing of closer hotels. The staff are friendly and for the elites they have both: a lounge and included breakfast in the restaurant. The gym is solid. They have weights, benches, cable machine, leg equipment, pull equipment and for cardio they have treadmills, a bike, and ellipticals. They also have a nice indoor pool. B read more

We stayed at the Fremont Marriott Silicon Valley for two nights in an executive suite and the experience wasn't great. The room was right by the elevator, so it was loud both nights. When I brought it up, the only option given was to move to a regular room, which didn't make sense because we paid for the space. The first night we got there, there was only one washcloth, the shower wasn't draining, and we had to call for an engineer. After he "fixed" it, he used the remaining towels and left dirty shoe prints on the floor and handprints on the countertop. We also asked for extra blankets for the sleeper since there weren't any in the room. When they were brought up, they were wrapped in her arms against her chest while she was working, which didn't feel clean or professional. I even went and bought a white noise machine just to try to make it work for my daughter to sleep because of the elevator noise, and it still took her a long time to settle. The next morning, before checkout, someone knocked on the door repeatedly and just stood there. When I opened the door and asked if it was checkout time, all I got was "sorry" with no explanation. On top of that, I had called the front desk the day before and was left on hold for over 10 minutes, then had to go downstairs just to find out I was still on hold. We also paid $71 for breakfast, which made the overall experience feel even more frustrating considering how everything else was handled. On top of everything, our allergies were really bad during the stay, and after seeing how much dust buildup was inside the vent, it made sense why. That's something that should be maintained, especially in a hotel. The stay just didn't feel taken care of, and I wouldn't stay here again. read more

I have always had great service with Marriott, which is why this recent stay was so disappointing. Last weekend was my wife's and my wedding anniversary, and we chose to spend it in the Bay Area expecting the same welcoming experience we've consistently received. We arrived around 9:30 a.m. for a planned 10:00 a.m. arrival. The front desk associate, MONIKA, greeted us with noticeable attitude despite there being no line. When I politely asked about checking in 30 minutes early, she responded rudely and stated there would be a $75 early check-in fee, even though we had been told in advance that there was no early check-in fee at this hotel. Her tone remained short and dismissive throughout the interaction, in clear contrast to the polite service she provided to other guests. We were ultimately charged the $75 fee even though our room was already ready, which was confusing and frustrating. This experience negatively affected what was meant to be a special anniversary getaway. I hope management or cooperate has a talk about her customer service and how she treats people. read more

I would absolutely stay here again. The room was clean and comfortable. At checkin, I asked if they could place me in a quieter room since I'm a light sleeper, and they were thankfully able to accommodate me. I slept well and the bed was comfortable. I am very disappointed with my stay at the Marriott hotel. I stayed in room on the 7th floor from May 21-24. On Friday, May 22, I lost an item during my stay and requested to review the security camera footage. However, the manager informed me that the property does not have any security cameras on site. I was very surprised and concerned to hear this, especially for a hotel of this standard. This so far is my favorite hotel in the Bay Area. I know there are a lot of hotels and quite nice ones, but this one is decently priced, the ambiance is nice, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are nicely decorated, it's clean, and the amenities are fantastic. The front desk staff is helpful and polite. I have stayed here over ten times and every time I leave saying 'I love this place!' I'll be back to stay here as often as I can. read more

Rating 3.5 stars During check-in, there was only one staff member at the front who was going back and forth between giving people their packages, going off to the side to assist people who needed towels, and checking people in. Only now when I am going through other reviews do I see that I would've had complimentary breakfast for being a Bonvoy Member (it would've been great if we were made aware of this at check-in since we ended up buying our breakfast the next morning, plus I've never been to a Marriott a Bonvoy Member and received complimentary breakfast). ROOMS: Decent and comfortable mattresses and pillows. A mini couch right by the window. Unfortunately, the lighting in the room is awful. Very harsh and yellow bedside stand lights. As for the bathroom, the door is too large for the frame so the first time I closed it all the way, I was stuck inside and had to push from the inside while my partner was pulling from the outside. RESTAURANT: The hours of operation for the restaurant needs to be updated. It's currently showing 5:30 AM-11 & 4 PM - MIDNIGHT on one page of the official website and on a different page of the official website, it's showing as 6 AM - 10 AM & 4 PM - 11 PM. When we went to get drinks at 9:59 PM, we saw the staff mopping the floors. They said they're closing, but luckily since we only needed a canned drink, we were able to get that. Had a lovely stay at this Marriott. I found everything to be very clean, from the lobby to the hotel rooms. For the area, parking wasn't too crazy (somewhere around $30). Beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. There was a bit of what looked like mold around the vent in my shower but aside from that everything was fairly pristine. They have a full breakfast and have a coffee bar downstairs as well as a market for things you may have forgotten. The gym was decently big with a full size pool as well. My one complaint about the gym was no gym mats for stretching or yoga, but they do have a full wait set, some machines, and several treadmills. Staff was lovely, everyone I interacted with was very kind, knowledgeable, and quick to help! read more

This marriott is truly my home away from home, every Christmas I have stayed here since 2016. As a Bay Area native who comes home for Christmas I appreciate the space. I have never seen the club lounge in all this time because it isn't open during the weekend. I FINALLY made it this past week and I was a bit disappointed. I have seen way better lounges, in space, asthetic ambiance and selection of foods. The restaurant does so much better w/there breakfast which is usually not the case. I booked this hotel to maintain our status for the year. For 5 nights, the price was right and the location made it convenient for my family and I to come and go without having to pack for an overnight stay. We did stay for one night, but did not return to the hotel until check out day to redeem our snacks certificates. My daughter and I took advantage of the breakfast for 1 day but I wasn't very pleased as the food station looked really dirty, not to mention the fresh cream that sat on the tables with discoloration forced me to drink my coffee black. Overall, the decor is off for me, the swings with ropes in the guest floor area to the dark room decor was uninviting. The aesthetics of this hotel were nice, but that was probably the only nice thing about the hotel besides the kindness of the staff members at the front desk. Highlights: - Aesthetic Room - On Expedia for a discount (although that discount wasn't very worth this experience) - Free 2 Water Bottles Do Not Recommend For The Following Reasons: - Shower head barely covers your body with water - Shower barely sprays hot water (it is barely warm so you're pretty much freezing during your shower...and it is SUMMER right now) - Housecleaning is busy so you have to pick up any requested items at the front desk - No microwave in room (you have to go to the front desk area to microwave food...) - Stayed on the 3rd floor and our view was the literal roof with pipes - Walls are paper thin or we were just unlucky; kids were literally running and SCREAMING down the hallway around 8PM and 7AM during our entire stay - They charge for parking per day and it's hard to find a nearby spot, which makes you drive to a farther structure to park For how much I paid, I most likely wouldn't stay here again. read more

Just a few updates. The rooms near the elevator can have humming noise which I find disrupts my sleep. I ask for a room away from the elevator. They also have a floor or area that is allergy focused with an air filter in the room and other signs like no down pillows. Probably have to ask for these rooms special. I also wanted to share the video of how to temporarily lock the main bathroom light from doing the auto sensor. If you don't go to the bathroom in the middle of the night then you are good. Someone else said it but this truly is a hidden gem of a hotel in the Bay Area. Adequate parking, not sketchy at all at night, really comfortable beds, and I don't know if it's just room 340 but the water pressure was so good and strong I never wanted to get out of the shower! Plus I love any hotel that gives you the overhead and detachable shower head. If you're in Fremont for work or visiting you really can't go wrong staying here. The rooms are modern and comfortable, the staff is friendly, the lobby, hallways, and room were very clean, and it just seemed like a great value. read more

Very disappointing experience, especially for a Marriott-branded hotel. I stayed here with my family including two children. Despite requesting housekeeping multiple times, the room was never cleaned during my stay. There are no microwaves in any of the room, I had to come to reception from 6th floor to fill warm the milk for my kid. To make matters worse, the hotel withheld my entire deposit amount and charged me a smoking fee, which is completely false. I did not smoke inside the room at any time. I always went outside the hotel to smoke. Charging guests based on assumptions or unreliable detection methods is unfair and unacceptable. For a brand like Marriott, this level of service is shocking--ignored housekeeping requests, poor communication, and unjust charges. Families should be especially cautious, as deposits can be withheld without proper verification. Marriott management seriously needs to review this property's service standards and charging practices. Until then, I dont recommend staying here for any business or leisures. read more

Thanksgiving day was when we checked-in here at the Fremont Marriott Hotel. Beautiful lobby with a fireplace seating area and dining area was closed at the time we checked in. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly, courteous and flashed us some beautiful smiles. Our executive junior sweet was very nice and clean and ready for its occupants. My daughter enjoyed having her own space while my husband and I had our bedroom area. And, with 2 TV's in the suite we didn't have to compete for what to watch. And, for the price we paid the room was well worth it. My only complaint was that there was no microwave in the room. read more

My stay here was fairly pleasant. Quiet for the most part being on the second floor. Desk attendants were always welcoming when leaving and entering. Pretty decent window view of the Bay Area from a distance. Lots of indoor amenities to enjoy while visiting this location. Close to eatery options too Was great fil for the continental breakfast that was prepared every weekday morning by 630 am as well. Beat having to find someo early in the process in trying to get to work. Besides the slight mishap in cleaning of the room thoroughly prior to my arrival was a good short stay. read more

Doesn't appear to be fully staffed still. Concierge lounge is still closed. It looked like the girl at the front desk was overworked and doing a bunch of jobs at once. Room was clean and ready on time. No issues with bathroom or bed. Front door was inoperable for a half hour or so, but the maintenance man did what he could. It appeared to be fixed the next day. Breakfast was in the lobby restaurant. Decent buffet spread. Omelette station had a wait. Service was okay. This property does not Live up to Marriott standards. The staff is overwhelmed. The housekeepers insist on flipping over the manual door locks so as they enter and exit you are bombarded by slamming doors. The restaurant closes early and when it's open the food is mid at best. Only stay here if you get a really good rate otherwise many other choices for a much better hotel. read more

We reserved a king suite over 2 months in advance and prepaid the entire amount. On check in they initially told us there were no rooms available. Upon pushing the issue they had one suite cleaned but this delayed check in until 7:30pm. The room booked was fully prepaid non refundable so it's unclear how long Marriott is committing fraud taking payment and not blocking the room. I wish I can give this place a 4.5/5 stars. The facility is very nice and clean. Quite comfortable! Rooms are updated. Good rates! Great location! Easy access to freeways! My only criticism is that there was a shortage of staff. Stayed there for multiple days/nights and observed that there were always a lot of guest waiting for service at the front desk. Not enough employees working the front desk. When we called for service from our room, nobody ever answered our calls. One time we let the phone ring for several minutes before someone picked up. We asked for extra towels. Waited for almost an hour and nobody came with towels. Had to go downstairs to ask again and go back up to our room to wait for someone to bring the extra towels. Towels came after another ten minutes wait. It was 10:30pm when the towels came. Staff were nice but the facility needs more staffing! read more

This place was okay. 3.5 stars, but I'll round it to 4. It seems like they may have updated their showers perhaps? On the Marriott app, it says this had a tub. However, looking at the photos it seems like they may have had an update. Checked in, and the gal who checked us in seemed... annoyed I asked about a late check out. She said their availability was tight, and they can ONLY do it till 2pm. Me: As a Gold member isn't it a guarantee that my late check out is at 2pm? She seemed a little less annoyed when I mentioned I was a Gold Member, and she graciously extended our late check out to 2pm. The entire staff here is absolutely amazing, they have made my 5 day 4 nights the best experience. I travel a lot for work and hotels can be such a hit or miss but not this one! Very safe area. Super clean rooms! Housekeeping every day. Super cozy comforters (I've stayed at other hotels *cough* Hilton, where they are thin, and not these!) I could not have asked for a better place to stay, also shoutout to Kevin and Jose at the bar, they are a great duo! If I travel back to Silicon Valley I'll return! There is a new young lady at the front desk is rude and tedious, especially to the neighbors like me living in Fremont. I came to this Marriott for my relatives wedding two years ago and my friend's kids' birthday parties a few times in this hotel in the last a few years, so I am familiar with this hotel. Sometimes me and my girlfriends have lunch here for a serious talk. Occasionally I stop by here just to check my emails really quick or take a break. It was all good in the past a few years until last a few weeks, one day when this new young lady was at the front desk, I stopped by to take a break and check some news on the computer. The weather was so hot, and people were tired. She somehow thought I was not the staying in the hotel and so she asked his colleague Brian to order me to leave. So, I left. This is the absolute worse Marriott property I've ever stayed at. Staff and facilities are terrible. Stayed for work (in fact, I still need to stay here for several weeks). 1. Rooms - not well kept or clean. Expect low quality everything. From lack of functioning showers and shampoo dispensers to beds missing protection so you don't hurt yourself at night when walking in the dark. 2. Staff - absolutely terrible and it starts with their GM, Beeson. Completely oblivious to what is happening. He only makes excuses and lies. I've been around the industry for long enough to know how hotels operate and this GM will lie to you out of pure laziness to fix anything. Repulsive and no work ethic. Extend this ti the staff who will hang up the phone on you if you ask them for something they don't want to do. There's better hotels in the area, go elsewhere. read more

My favorite Bonvoy, a bit out of the way in Fremont but with a better than average restaurant and a lounge that has real food if only one choice, but always passable salad at least. The staff at breakfast and dinner k is my drink ad. Entree choice. Sadly crazy Silicon Valley no. If there is an option for zero, I will rate it zero.. I don't usually give a bad review but people need to know. Front desk people need some training on how to talk to the customers/guests. They are rude and disrespectful. The room was already paid but I forgot my driver license. Told him I will get it and will come back to check in but he decided to cancel the booking. Ended up lossing the money I paid for the room. Kept calling them and manager said it will be reimbursed but we never heard from them. I called the credit card to dispute but the manager said we didn't show up. Which is not accurate information. The young middle eartern front desk guy thinks he is the owner of Marriott. Only upset was that there was a party that spilled out to the front drive way with a huge bonfire. This caused traffic and prevented me from dropping off at the door. My son's 1st birthday was so beautiful and it was a success but it definitely came with extra unnecessary stress!! If you are trying to host an event here in the banquets. I suggest you please save the EXTRA STRESSSSS!! This review is for the "coordinator" Brittany I was stuck having to work with while planning my son's 1st birthday. Day 1 everything that we discussed all made perfect sense from how the event will go to pricing. Once we signed the contract it all went left and everything that was communicated went out the door! If you can think of the worst communication and consistency when planning a party...it is this! Very long story short, almost every day if not week was consistent back and forth emailing just trying to confirm simple things. She prefer everything via email when asked to just discuss over the phone because she had a million clients and she didn't want anything to get lost in translation (annoying part is everything still got lost) The most simplest things (program, guest seating, layout etc) became bigger things and it's all because nothing stuck. It was to the point we were highly convinced the coordinator had short term memory loss. (Sad to say that but it's the best way I can describe it). For example: After all the back and forth emailing and confirming we finally had the final layout...LITERALLY THE DAY OF, we came down to set up and the layout wasn't updated! I shit you not I had to call another coordinator that was suppose to help us with anything we needed that morning, no answer. So I had to EMAIL Brittany and she made it seem like it was the correct layout. WHAT? sigh. (Then apologizes AFTER I had to email her back to tell her the guy setting up showed me the layout and it wasn't the updated one) so instead of focusing on setting up I'm emailing her about everything that's not going right just for her to tell me it is. WHAT?! Anyway, it was a hot mess and I'm glad it's over. I never been so stressed out doing someone else's job on coordinating an event. Just to think I didn't have to communicate with her anymore...a couple weeks post party the receipt for the event came and she charged me for a broken chair with no proof. I asked for proof of the chair because it's quite strong...and she said they don't have proof they threw it away already but IT DEFINITELY HAPPENED (as if she was there) WHAT??!! Another back and forth emailing because she wasn't answering my question about the chair & that's the last time I heard from her. Smh I'm so done. Please book your event with someone else! Honestly I don't know why there were some very bad reviews on here. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating any problem we have we can just let the front desk know and they will take care of it right away. Book the hotel here after surgery so that we have a place to recover and not have to walk up and down stairs. Walking around the lobby is much better and safe. These days all the houses are townhomes and the neighborhoods and not safe ... If you can splurge a little bit come over here and relax. During our stay, there was a few issues such as AC doesn't work or they shut off the water mid day to mid-afternoon because of renovation and construction. However the hotel staff was very accommodating to make sure you're taken care of even during all these. Front desk has the most friendliest staff ever ... Very knowledgeable and help us extended our stay due to need to recover longer. Highly recommend that you join the club ... Become a member of the Marriott Hotel. Lots of perks and help you know when the discounts happen. T-Mobile checking option is also very nice very easy to use so you don't always lose your card/key. Overall it's a 4.5 ... But I'll give it a five because "people" is what makes the experience even better. By the way did I mention the breakfast bar? You've got to come and try it's not the fanciest in the world but it's fresh and the omelet station definitely is a must-have and a crowd favorite. So ... If Bryant is at the front desk, be sure to say hi !!! He knows the Hotel in and out, deals and perks, and very friendly. Management if you're reading this give my man a raise will you? I am giving a One Star since there is no option for a Zero star. I organized my son's wedding at the Silicon Valley Marriott on June 3rd, 2023, and my experience was pathetic, to say the least. My guests had booked 45+ rooms for 2 nights for the wedding and when I signed the contract I was promised I would be given Marriott Bonvoy points for all the rooms but the promise was not kept. I had booked 10 rooms (20 nights) with my personal credit card for my guests and expected to get Marriott Bonvoy points for all the rooms but I was given points only for 3 (6 nights) rooms. This was never told to me and is not mentioned in the contract either. I had spent ~$34K on the wedding (banquet hall, drinks, etc.) with the hotel and it took them more than 8 weeks with multiple emails and phone calls to grant me the points for this spend. I had to follow up multiple times to get a response. I had signed the contract with Ms. Britany Dyess and she quit Marriott before the event. Ms. Nilam Prasad took over and she was very helpful but apparently resolving these issues was beyond her control. I have been chasing the managers Bonne Seller, Matt Seiler, and Clark Robano but they were not helpful at all. I then escalated to the GM Mr. Jin Kranock and he too could not help resolve the issues. He granted me 30K points as "charity" which is far less than what I was entitled to. I made the mistake of trusting their words and not documenting everything in the contract. Lesson learned. I have been a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member for 2 decades and I have never encountered this treatment ever. Based on this incident I will have to rethink my loyalty to Marriott. read more
