    soccer field

am writing to express a concern regarding the use of the soccer field at this public park. Although the field is public, it appears to be consistently occupied by organized groups with coaches conducting paid training sessions. No matter what time I visit the park, the field is in use for what seems to be commercial activities, leaving no opportunity for regular residents to use it. I am a parent, and my intention is very simple: I would like to be able to come to a public park at any time and casually play soccer with my child. Not to run a training program, not to make money--just to spend quality family time. Unfortunately, this does not seem possible under the current situation. Public parks and sports fields are funded by taxpayers and are meant to be equally accessible to all members of the community, not effectively reserved for continuous commercial use by private groups. I respectfully ask that you: * clarify the rules regarding use of this soccer field, * confirm whether ongoing commercial use is permitted, * and consider implementing a clear schedule that guarantees free public access time for regular park visitors. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope for a fair resolution that restores true public access to this facility.

This is a great little park. I went because I wanted a playground for my daughter and this park has a HUGE play structure. I mean HUGE - like 2 or 3 stories high huge. The playground has wood chips so it is soft if kids fall. It has a nice swing set and a large grassy area as well.

Fabulous parks for kids of all ages. Loved the different climbing areas and the huge slides. Lots of fun little things for small kids and adventurous stuff for the bigger kids. Beautiful park but get there early!

My daughter loves this park. It is a great one from what I can tell as well. It is very family friendly. It seems like its a lot more than just a local family park. There are multiple jungle gyms here. The biggest of these has a cimbing structure with a 2-3 story slide! The munchkin absolutely goes crazy to get a chance to race down the two high covered slides. They have a whole bank of swings as well. The swings are for both kids and babies. Pro Tip: There are lots of picnic tables for a family outing or a simple game of chess. Be careful as there are wild rodents running around begging for grub. These rodents have giant fluffy tails and most know them as chipmunks. There are also a number of open grass areas. Thus the kids can play soccar football, catch or wutever. So if your in the area, kick the rugrats out and make them go play...

The park is so cute and fun. We had my niece's birthday party here and my sister paid to rent the wading pool. The kids all had a blast. The lifeguard on duty, however, was completely useless. He was playing cards at one of the tables with his friends until someone from our group let him know that we needed the table for party guests. Then he continued to socialize with friends and play on his phone completely inattentive to the pool. He sometimes even had his back completely turned from the pool. At the end, he unplugged the pool to drain it, and then disappeared with it still full and kids still around.

    It's staring at me!!!

Ahhh!! Puppies, squirrels, and kids running around!! Too much cuteness in one area! I love the Armenian grandparents hangout sessions a lot more. This is a great park; I used to come here with my cousins when I was younger. When I visited the other day, a lot of wonderful memories came back. Parking can be annoying, but I've never had a problem, and trust me, I have to find the perfect parking spot. So if I'm able to find it, I'm confident anyone else will be able to.

View from the top! Lots of discovery zones!

A park is what you make it - it is a part of the community. As members of that community we are each responsible for picking up our own trash plus a little more. We can't expect the city to always clean-up our messes. Pitch-in vs. complaining! This park offers a lot of discovery zones for kids of all ages. I have a 1.5 year old who was a happy tyke exploring all of the play zones. The bigger kids are rambunctious; but they should be - this is a park! This is a nice asset to the Glendale community; walking paths, tennis courts, lawn, picnic tables and a nice play zone for kids!

We stopped by here so the boys could play. I saw that big green slide and my son wanted to go on it. Find out it was closed off. The park itself is huge with tables and tons of open space. There were tons of elderly folks enjoying themselves playing card games (I believe). Parking wasn't bad and it was free

When we visited there wasn't a lot of people, but they have a tennis court, a basketball court and a small little playground for kids. They had a few tables around the park. There's not a lot of traffic around the park so it seems safe for your kids if you plan to bring them to play. If you're from around the area and need to take a breather and time to walk, this is a good place to walk around. I saw a few joggers, but it was mostly quiet and hardly anyone around. Since COVID19 a lot of restaurants are not allowing you to dine-in, so this is a good little place to picnic with your friends or family. We ended up staying in the car and parked right by the park. We were in a rush since we came around the holidays, so we could not stay to enjoy it. If I'm ever in the area and need a place to go for a picnic and Eagle Rock isn't allowing dine-in, then I would definitely come back. It's not crowded, it's clean, it looks safe and there's a few benches to hangout. I did not get a chance to check the restrooms, but it did not look bad from the outside view. The grass and trees around the park look well taken care of by the city.
