I have hEDS; which makes me difficult to do PT. I've tried a lot of different things so far while here and haven't had a bad experience yet. All of the staff has been kind to me and they've been understand when I had to cancel last minute due to illness. I don't think I will "get better", but she might help me keep my condition from getting worse. Oh and they have a dog named Zeke that roams the office. Just be aware of that if you have allergies.

It's just so nice to forget you're in the hospital sometimes. I was having some testing done a couple of days ago and my Nurse Shamika, and radiology is the best. She was comforting, helpful, calmed my nerves and chatted with me while I was waiting for a quick test. Well not that quick. But she helped make me comfortable, I was able to relax and set my mind at ease. The other gals in radiology were also just as friendly and compassionate as Shamika. Oh, and I added pictures of my favorite cafeteria. If you're ever at this hospital for a long stay or at least a few hours. Stop by and visit the cafeteria on the third floor as you head to the lead Transplant center. The official name of this cafeteria is Nebraska Café. If you get lost, just ask someone for directions.

From personal articles coming up missing to two nurses in particular involved in an abuse situation that required an ombudsman and literally zero actions taken by the facility other than to cover their collective tails. I would take someone literally anywhere other than ambassador health. I am giving one star because of the two rock star nurses (they know who they are) and respiratory. The facility should be shut down. It is quite literally that bad.

The Recreational Therapy Director Larry was absolutely fabulous! He has so many different things for the residents to do, and every day there's something organized morning, noon, and night! There is a rehabilitation side where the patients do not live here but are here for an extended stay. There is a large therapy gym with a pool on this side and each hallway has its own nurses station, nurses supply closet, own seating area with a tv (there are tv's in bedrooms too) and its own dining room. I really like the elegant touches. The other side of the building has long term patients. Each hallway is the same as the rehab side and there is a smaller rehab room. There is a lovely pond on this side of which I put my two pet turtles in when I moved away. Patients saw them as a sign of good luck and enjoy watching them. I hear they eat popcorn often being that on each side of the building there is a popcorn machine. (there are also ice cream machines. There is a chapel, rooms to reserve for private family birthdays/holidays, there are activities like bingo and cards, and overall this is a great place. I was once the person in charge of supplies. I know that we ordered the best quality of products and if we didn't have it I'd run out and buy it. Our Kitchen is high end and our house keeping department has a great room with washer/dryer, a large folding table and so on. You really just have to go and see it for yourself. Jack Vetter the founder visits often, his mother stayed at the sister facility Brookestone Village. The Administrator is a very knowledgeable and nice person. He had been a nurse for several years then was the director of nursing before the administrator so he's done the dirty work and knows what it takes to provide quality care. The Administrative assistant is a kind professional woman, she had her father stay for rehabilitation while I was working there. I could go on about the staff, HR is great, and so on. I'd stay here if I needed rehab.
