Four years later, I still find myself driving here from time to time to do the old running route. Besides that, I run through the park on an almost weekly basis, as it is part of my running clubs 12 mile Sunday run. The park is open and welcoming. A year or two ago volunteers built the Build Jake's Place, a "boundless" playground which welcomes children of all abilities and disabilities. During my most recent visit to the park this past week, I noticed that a second new playground area is being built. (I can't find the info now, but I think I read that it is going to be a softball/baseball field of sorts, again for all children, regardless of ability/disability). The park also includes a quarter mile track, restrooms, bocce court, a basketball court, and baseball field. There is also what appears to be a soccer or football field set back behind a wooded area that I have not ventured to, but I often see games being held there. A short walk to the other end of the park brings to to an area of the Cooper River, and a large grassy field area where one could spread out and relax. For the runner or walker, there are also some trails, which Cherry Hill Township has been making a point of maintaining in the last year or two, and has encouraged people to take advantage of these areas. I only recently ventured back in these trails, and they are really beautiful, well maintained, and not long or complicated enough to get you lost. If you prefer the roads, a lap around the entire park (Caldwell Road, Park Blvd., Kings Hwy., and back into the park on Bortons Mill) is about a 1.25 mile run. The park area is also home to the old Croft Farmstead, but I'll be honest... I don't know what goes on in those buildings, just that it's a historic area in the township. One thing the township/county needs to improve are the restrooms. On the occasion that they are actually open, they are absolutely awful. Smelly, filled with graffiti, no paper towels, and just filthy. The water fountains could use some upgrading, too... they are forced to be turned off in the winter because they don't utilize no-freeze technology, and in the summer the water is just hot, and therefore useless to an overheated endurance runner. If the park could fix either one of those things, they'd easily be a 4 or 5 star park in my eyes.

They have benches under trees. Over the northern bridge is a giant playground. There are so many great equipment. It was all in good working condition. There's a real bathroom that was fairly clean. Next to the playground is a field with a track. It's a great place for all ages.

You can also drive through the park. Smith playground is a mansion with indoor activities and a big outdoor playground for kids. The best part about Smith playground is the giant wooden slide. The kids and adults can both go on the discovery center is in a former reservoir. It has walking trails and indoor activities to learn about the park. The horticultural center in Japanese teahouse are also located in the park. It's a great place to picnic!

You can stroll along the Trolley Trail, visit Boathouse Row, and marvel at Shofuso Japanese House and Garden. For outdoor enthusiasts, there are trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, as well as opportunities for picnicking and boating on Concourse Lake. Fairmount Park is also home to the Please Touch Museum and the Philadelphia Zoo, making it a great destination for families. I am normally here for The roots picnic, but realized this park has so much to offer. If you are up for outdoor activities, make sure to come by and explore. Five stars for Knight's Park, even though I'm not entirely sure what officially separates a 5-star…read morepark from a 1-star one; what I do know is this is as far from a bad park as you can get. Knight's Park is an excellent place for a daily walk, jog, or run, and it consistently feels safe and comfortable to spend time in. It is the kind of space that naturally invites you to slow down and just move a little, whether that means a casual stroll or a more focused workout. Being located right across from a high school adds a familiar, lived-in neighborhood feel. It also brings back personal memories; I used to spend a lot of time here growing up around 8 or 9 years old, either alone or with a friend, just passing time and enjoying the space without much thought. Even now, I still get the occasional urge to go back for a walk, even though I live closer to other parks. That says a lot about how comfortable and pleasant the environment is. It also works surprisingly well for casual social settings, including a low-pressure first date walk where the focus is just conversation and being outside rather than anything overly structured. It is simply a dependable, enjoyable local park that consistently delivers a good experience.

The article says "Award winning fully accessible park". That description alone was good enough and I didn't bother looking at the pictures. This park was soooooo nice. They've got an outdoor gym, a softball field, a huge playground, two bocce ball courts, a small picnic area, and a dog park across the parking lot. The facilities were so clean and so well maintained. The bathrooms were better than your average park bathrooms and had motion sensor faucets. I completely appreciate how well this park was designed. The dog park was super spacious and divided into two sections, one for small dogs and one for large large dogs. The place looked clean and was well stocked with poop bags. Overall this is just a great park for everybody.

A beautiful place for amateur photographers to take some great pictures. I was able to do 2 miles by walking off the marked trails. Did I say marked trails? Hardly!!! However, it is too small to get loss.
