Absolutely wouldn't recommend this salon. It's not a peaceful experience that most women look for when getting a pedicure or manicure done. They have very few REGULAR gel nail polish to chose from. I am not a regular pedicure person, I only go in the summer. There are several nail salons in Leonia to choose from & I honestly go wherever there is an opening. I also have incredibly tiny toes & only want a French pedicure which is ridiculously difficult to do well. I rarely write reviews but my pedicure results at French Nails this morning was quite remarkable. Lilliana was that good. She worked efficiently, she is very strong & spa like & an artist when it came the polish. I will now go there specifically when I can make an appointment with her! read more

Idk where to start. This place is horrible I walked in to get a new tip set. I paid 100$ and they lasted me not even a week the color kept chipping off. Michelle didn't take her time she was rushing. And was rude Idk if is the culture thing...smh avoid coming here don't waste your money and time like I did. read more

Overall, I really like this nail salon! Very clean, plenty of nice colors to choose from and the employees here are all very nice! Came in during the weekday around 1pm, and happily accepted my walk in. I have been here quite a few times over the last few years and they have never disappointed me! Pedicures are only $20 and they do an amazing job. Nails are always even and the polish is smooth and firm as an end result. Most importantly, I have got my eyebrows touched up here numerous of times and never had an issue. They really do a wonderful job all around. Wax does not burn and they do exactly what you ask for. Cost for eyebrow waxing is average, only $10. And I thought I would also mention that they are great with small children too! A mother and her very young daughter walked in and the daughter wanted to get a pedicure. They put her up on the seat (her feet couldn't even touch the tub), gave them a little wash and started to apply the nail-polish the child choose. The woman doing her feet even went the extra mile. She got some glitter and some white nail polish and made flower designs on her nails. I looked at the mom and even she looked happy and impressed! Overall, highly recommend this place! read more

They charged me $20 for my daughters nails (she is 5 and had a polish change) I said nothing. Then they yelled at me in front of a full salon because I did not have cash for a tip. I was mortified but again said nothing. Then they screamed my bill ($90) across the whole salon and asked how much tip I want to put. Honestly, this is so unprofessional and extremely rude and uncomfortable. Then, I asked for a 10 minute massage at the end. Before agreeing they are screaming again across the salon before saying if they could or not. They did not give me the massage at the end so I asked for a refund which they gave begrudgingly. Really really terrible experience- I went to relax with my daughter and I left extremely frustrated and annoyed. Would never go back. read more

I have been going to French Nail for years and would recommend it to anyone. It's clean, they have an enormous selection of polishes, the materials are well kept and the people are very friendly. And the price is very reasonable ($12 for a regular manicure). On two recent vacations I went with my hosts to their local nail spas and I can honestly say neither was as good as French Nail. At French Nail, I am usually a walk-in and I rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes or so - even when I go on the weekends. I also love that they call me by name when I walk in (keep in mind, I'm a walk-in so they don't have my name written down in the book!). Whenever I'm there, there are a lot of people who are also regulars. It's that kind of place. read more

THIS IS MY FAVORITE NAIL SALON, HANDS DOWN. (Pun intended.) Seriously, though, French Nail is non-pretentious. It is so super-friendly, clean, and hygienic. The manicurists are all wonderful and friendly. The owner, Monica, recognizes her "regulars" and knows them by name. Whenever I get a mani or pedi here, it lasts a long time. Also, French Nail does get very busy during popular times, and they do a great job serving everyone WITHOUT compromising the services or rushing people out. The ladies here are great artists, so if you're into nail art, they will hand-paint you something truly impressive!! I have not found a better place than this, so I try to go here whenever I visit my parents in Leonia. My mom has been coming here weekly and she loves it just as much as I do! read more

I used to be a fan, but not anymore. This place is run by Koreans and as a fellow Korean, I want to support local businesses run by them. However, I've been here several times, and I can't help but to feel that they always give preferential treatment to their Caucasian customers. My mom comes here because she likes their membership reward system, but they never bother to remember her OR my name although they know us by our faces. When a white customer comes in, they always make an added effort to make them feel invited. Also, their prices have raised to $27 or 28 for a mani/pedi? One of the other novelties of this place was their prices before the jump. Meh. There are way too many other nail salons around NJ for me to stay loyal to one that doesn't seem to appreciate my business. read more

This is the absolute best nail salon. The place is super clean, the staff is nice, and they do the best job. I drive 15 minutes just to come here. I go in the mornings and there is no wait, but if you plan on going in the evening I would make an appointment. Definitely recommend. read more

I came to the store for a powder gel manicure. I don't think the lady knew how to do it and she kept messing up and having to add more layers of the powder (which could further weaken the nails). powder gel does not require a light so it's better for your nails as opposed to regular gel. She messed up so many times she had to end up putting a layer of clear gel on top and use the light. I was sitting in the chair for almost 3 hours. Powder gel is supposed to last 3 weeks and my nails are already chipping less than a week later. Worst manicure i've ever gotten and she didn't even give me a discount and charged me for a powder gel manicure. (when in the end it was a regular gel manicure and not a powder gel) read more

Avoid. The lack of honesty is shocking. I received a gift certificate last Christmas. Went to use it today. They changed the rules six months ago and now you must use the certificate within one year. No one notified me of this change. I wonder how many others will get screwed.I was 5 days over and they would not honor it even though it was bought before they initiated the year rule. The door clearly states they close at 7:30pm, so when me and my friends walked in at ~6pm we thought it would have been plenty of time. We were rushed through our manicures. While waiting for our nails to dry, they began packing up and getting ready to close at 7pm. The owner sat there and watched us as our nails dried, making us feel quite uncomfortable. After a few minutes, she just said "time to go", and essentially kicked us out before the shop even closed with our nails still wet. read more

If you are not a regular costumer or a caucasian costumer, they will not treat you the same. They will do things on a rush even if you are 3-4 hrs away from closing. So don't even bother coming here. Gel manicure ONLY will cost you $45. Save your money for BETTER nail salons out there. read more

Great place. I was there once last week. The owner and manicurists were freindly and polite. It was a little busy, but they all stayed calm and professional. The lady who did my nail took time to do it. I didn't feel she was rushing even though there were a couple of people waiting. Price is within acceptable range in the area.
