Very friendly service! They knew exactly what I wanted and the pedicure was amazing! I got the basic pedicure and it came with a very elaborate foot massage! A lot of places I've been skipping this part and it was very refreshing to have the hot towels after too! Overall not super fancy or anything, but they did a great job on my SNS manicure too! If I could give 0 starts I would. I got a terrible manicure, every nail had an imperfection. I'm also pretty positive the ladies stole my credit card number and used it to pay their personal phone bill. I'm furious. And would never recommend to anyone. read more

My best GF in Florida was nice enough to buy a GC for a pedi at a local salon as a Christmas gift. (Thanks!) So, that's what brought me to French Nails. Having driven up and down 620 a million times, I never noticed the storefront located in a small strip mall across from the Lexus dealership. I called to make the appointment, and they had my name on file. Got me in the same day. Easy cheesy. My Fred Flinstones were in desperate need of some TLC. Walked into a clean, yet VERY unassuming salon. No bells and whistles here...although the pedi massage chairs appeared to be pretty new. The small "waiting area" consisted of padded folded chairs, I wasn't offered anything to drink, and the other clientele that was there was...well...different than the people I usually see at nail salons in the area. I think FNs has been around a long time and they have a group of regulars that have been going there forever. To note: the prices are really no different (i.e., less expensive) than other establishments. Never mind all the details. As long as it is clean, it's all about the nails right? Turns out my BFF bought me FN's crème de la crème pedicure - the Organic. It included the norms (foot soak, file, cuticle, etc.), as well as sugar scrub, a mask, paraffin, and hot stone message. Quite the package! Overall, the gentleman (I failed to get his name) did a wonderful job, although he did nick my skin once. I didn't even bleed, so all is well. No matter, my feet look fab! Now onto fingernails. I simply wanted a buff and polish as the last place I went to failed to give me my preferred shape. The same gentleman tried (operative word) to shorten them a bit and re-shape them; however, had a difficult time even after showing him several pictures of my nails of past. Some people are really good at nails and some people just aren't. Anyone who regularly gets their nails done knows finding a good tech is right up there with finding a good hair dresser. Merp. Tina stepped in (or rather sat in) and had them shaped correctly and brushed with a fresh coat of polish in under 10 minutes. :D Bottom-line: The "Organic" pedi is pretty great (I think $45?) and I was charged $10 for the B&P ($6 on second visit for B&P?). If you prefer someplace reaaaaaly low key, and don't want fancy schmancy but want good service, then French Nails might be the place for you. *They also offer airbrush tanning sessions at $30 a pop. I will give 3 stars just for the foot massage but they used a top coat that totally messed up the polish & left a brittle, half-covered look to my toes & nails. Having been to a couple of other places, including a more high end salon in The Galleria, and was very disappointed in the service and quality of work. I thought I would give French Nails and Tanning a shot. This is a no frills place close by to go for a good mani and pedi. Tina is my go-to here for everything; SNS nails and great pedicures. She is sweet, fun and very gentle. And fast! So if you are not looking for a spa-like experience with wine, aromatherapy, butterflies and unicorns, just a good solid wham-bam manicure or pedicure, this is your place and Tina is your girl! read more

I've loved this salon for years. Not sure what is going on here but the salon has been going downhill for sometime. In February I went in for special manicure for vacation and wanted a little artwork done on my nails. The manicure was hideous. A child could have done better. I left and went to CVS to purchase nail polish to try to fix the mess. During my recent last visit, my technician took a phone call during my pedicure while continuing to work on my feet. The massage was very rough and my pedicure didn't last. Time to look for a new salon. read more

Sadly- I have to update my review. The last time I went in, all the techs were already busy at 10:30 am, 30 minutes after they open. I decided to wait, since I had no other plans. 30 minutes later, I had a gentleman sit down to work on removing my french manicure to re-do it. Almost an hour after that, I still did not have all the old manicure off, as he got up to check his phone 5 times! After the last time, I asked him to stop and I would not be finishing my nails with them. Of course he quickly put his phone away, but too late by then. Since going back 2 more times to try and get my nails done with my usual gal, she has not been there and they consistently have a 30 minute wait. So sadly, I will not be returning. read more

I've been using French Nails for at least 15 years, when I'm visiting the lake area. Like others have mentioned, it's a no-frills salon but they have always provided a great mani/pedi and I've had the spray tan a few times as well. Always looks great.
