Finally, PB made it to this side of Bensonhurst!…read more If you've been to one of their franchise spot, then you probably have favorites and go-to items. I know I do. Coffee bun! We also love their soufflé cheesecake when we do splurge on dessert. It's kind of pricey. But worth it! I was a little disappointed with the blueberry yogurt cake - tasted stale (ugh), but the mochi donuts were yummy! This location is pretty new, less than 1 yr old. Right around the corner from Chipotle, on the 18th Avenue busy hub. Self service, tray, line with parchment, grab your goodies and pay. The staff are nice and friendly. Clean, roomy enough for customers to browse what they want but smaller than the location on 86th St. Although the price point is higher than your Asian bakery, the aesthetic and variety and taste makes it worth while. I'm a fan and be sure to join their loyalty program for treats!

**First Time Visit & Definitely Not the Last!**…read more I stopped by this location for the first time and loved the self-serve style of dining. Walking in, the space was clean with a calm, quiet ambience and light music playing in the background -- such a relaxing vibe. You're greeted right away, then directed to the plastic trays, a box of parchment paper what company will logo and your own single-use tongs. From there, you get to browse at your own pace through two beautiful display cases filled with beautiful desserts and cakes, and tarts. Also well as two fully stocked fridges filled with drinks, sandwiches, and salads (which looked SO fresh and delicious -- definitely trying those next time!). The two baristas working were incredibly friendly and engaging. They were knowledgeable about the drinks, happy to offer recommendations, and made the experience feel welcoming. They offer cakes, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate -- perfect for pairing with dessert. Now let's talk about the good part... the pastries I tried the jumbo twisted cinnamon donut, a croissant donut, and the chocolate supreme croissant. Every single one was fresh, flavorful, soft on the inside with the perfect crunch on the outside. The flavors were absolutely mouthwatering. The prices were exactly what I expected but I enjoyed the quality and overall it was such an enjoyable dessert experience. Highly recommend if you're looking for a sweet treat in a cozy, inviting spot. To catch up with friends, read, or study. I'll definitely be back!

Vito.. what's with the no pictures sign? I have nothing but love for you!…read more When I'm in Brooklyn, I need a little sumthin sumthin. Cannoli? Nah. Espresso and biscotti sounds about right. Walking in, Vito's bakery is best described as a place you want to be locked in for the weekend. With a spoon. Everything looks deelish! Lots of choices to satisfy my afternoon craving. But I spy with my little eye a freshly made nut cake. I see the different choices of biscotti. Vito, I would have went wild in this place. Cash only?? I ask for a double espresso and a piece of nut cake. The woman behind counter asked if this was the right size cut. She weighs it and gives me the goods. This transaction is not happening in Long Island!! Vito's bakery is a true Italian bakery, the smells alone are intoxicating. Fresh breads, Italian cookies, ready made cakes in the ice box. I think I just described heaven.. My buddy is with me, he's from Texas. He doesn't know what I just experienced. He's looking at the cake I bought, I didn't share! It was really really good. (Pinkie to lip) It was picture worthy.. Come to Vito's bakery for the best Brooklyn has to offer!

I love how they have rugelachs in many flavors and biscottis as well. I'm unsure if the croissants and butter cookies are made on premises. The croissants were good but tasted generic. The rugelachs tasted a bit old the each time I had it. I thought it was a bad batch but it seems to be that way every time I get them. The last time I got them they were hard and difficult to bite into and tasted stale. They were pretty expensive too. For $14.75 per pound, no cookies should be old.

The good first: the pastries did taste fresh (not stale or frozen), and the chocolate éclair itself was genuinely tasty -- smooth filling, balanced sweetness, and the best item from my order. But the execution + value were disappointing, especially for the very high prices vs to prices and sizes for similar items in multiple nearby bakeries. Packaging / delivery issue: the two éclairs were put together in one box without being secured, so during transit the chocolate ganache rubbed off and smeared onto the mango éclair. For $7 per éclair, that's not acceptable -- they need to separate or secure them properly. Almond croissant: very small and had only a thin layer of almond filling with NO sliced/shaved almonds, which is not what you expect from a classic almond croissant! Raisin & custard croissant-many people think of as a "raisin + custard spiral", traditionally called Pain aux raisins (also known as an escargot). This one tasted fresh, but had no custard at all -- basically a raisin spiral without the cream component. Mango éclair: the filling was bright orange but tasted strongly acidic, extremely sour, more like citrus or an apricot/citrus gel than mango -- no real mango flavor or aroma. It didn't smell spoiled, but it was not what was expected based on the menu. Coffee: very mediocre, flavorless and arrived barely warm, definitely Do NOT recommend wasting money on that when even regular franchise coffee shops produce much better tasting coffee. Overall: freshness is there, but portion size, packaging for delivery, and flavor accuracy need improvement. I'd come back for the chocolate éclair only if they fix packaging, size vs price & quality control issues and will tighten up the recipes/descriptions.
