What a wonderful farm! We spent way more time here than we had planned. They have so much to do, the activities are amazing. From the HUGE corn-maze to the pig races there is something for everyone. The bounce pad and tube slide of course were the hit of the day. Several photo op displays. The food court is covered with plenty of seating and great food. The gift shop has some interesting items to take home, the pickled quail eggs are amazing. Free samples by the ice cream shop. You could easily spend the whole day here and not get bored. Went here on a whim this afternoon because i was craving apple cider slushies and donuts! We were pleased with all the parking space that was available it made our trip quick in and out. Cider and donuts hit the spot! $8.99 for half a dozen of donuts and $7 slushies! read more

This place is a little slice of Heaven on earth. The friendliest people, sweetest little bakery/creamery, loveliest garden and most delicious pickled green beans I've ever eaten. The store is nice and some of the attractions are as well. Some of it is run down. The biggest thing is they charge too much for what they offer. The reason for my visit was the sunflower festival. They have a cute shop full of goodies. Homemade spaghetti sauces, jams, doughnuts and marionberry scones. They also have this amazing looking cookie sandwich drink. I'm going to make a trip back there specifically to try it, I selected other sugary things this time around. They have a selection of flowers in back so you can bring beauty back to your home. A beer/cider section and food!! Plenty of things for the kiddos to enjoy and burn energy off. There's a play structure, tire swings, a race track that looked to be for tricycles maybe... and a petting zoo!! There's a tractor that can take people to the sunflower field or you can get those steps in by walking! The fields are gorgeous and full of multiple colors. The farm itself is really nice. For a pumpkin patch trip it has all the things you would like to do. But only if you want to do them on Saturday or Sunday. We went on a Friday and all they had available was the corn maze. I don't think it's justifiable to charge the same price for entry if you don't offer all the stuff. The entry fee doesn't even include pumpkin. It's like $30 per person. They should reevaluate their pricing situation. However, it was nice to have a quiet experience thru the maze and pumpkin patch while enjoying a beer. We picked Friday to try and avoid overcrowding and screaming kids. It would have been nice to at least get a tractor ride or go down the slide. read more

Had a great time here. They have a 6 acre corn maze, 12 acres of thousands of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, and lots of activities. Tractor rides, mega slide, bounce house, pig races, on site bakery, hard cider and beer, lots of good food. They have a good mix of different races of employees and all are very courteous and friendly. This is a must visit family farm! read more

My family used to come here all the time. It's an awesome farm, but not awesome enough to pay the price stabbing they are doing to people, terrible. They were also very rude to us in the past but we would still go anyway, it was fun. The kids have a blast. Until they cut their prices in half or more they will never see us again. I actually love this farm; however, it has gotten to be way too expensive. They have gone down the same rabbit hole as many of the pumpkin patches in the area- way too much money for what should be a simple, family-friendly day. It is getting to be difficult to find a farm that is authentic and does not give way to what has become an over-commercialized, cash cow, lackluster experience. This place has delicious baked goods I have been here before once with my kids school so I talk to my mother into doing their mother's Day brunch which was quite pricey mind you! We purchased on top of the brunch three baskets of flowers the total came out to a few hundred dollars (including drinks). During the brunch my child went back to the fruit, grabbed the spoon, to get another Orange slice and a lady who worked there yelled at him - and said that he needed to buy another breakfast to be able to come back and get more. She yelled so loud at him I came running over and his eyes were full of tears then, she yelled at me. One of the owners were there she did apologize for her employee - although every year we pass the Farm and I swear I can't shake that feeling of how rude that was. read more

I was passing by when I cam upon this cute place. I had seen an ad for it somewhere lately so I stopped. The only thing I purchased or "needed" was a blueberry bush. The girls there were very helpful and one led me out back to where two giant bushes loaded with flowers were. It was big for my little truck but managed to get it in. There were many activities on their calendar for the season. There was a bar with draft beer I suppose for weekend events, open spaces, coffee area, pastries and goodies for sale. I went here yesterday with a group of senior citizens. I loved it! Everyone was very nice and helpful. It was lovely being in a nature setting with fields, animals, and flowers. A marvelous site for artists. We stayed for 2 1/2 hours, but I would have liked to have stayed longer. I walked through the corn maze, fired apples and corn cobs at targets, slid down a giant slide, fed sheep, goats, and chickens, watched pigs run a short track, and more. The only place for lunch was a snack bar that seemed to have a scrumptious curly fry nacho plate and cider donuts, sadly neither fit my diet. I would love to go again. So glad I didn't listen to the ratings. This place was what I wanted! More physical activities, less crowds and more entertainment. We drove an hour there and didn't mind because after spending 3 happy hours at the pumpkin patch and still trying to pry away the kids we eventually went to In N Out for dinner. At the patch the kids did a tire obstacle race competition and the a climbing obstacle course. The kids raced the Rope maze and the Corn Maze. They shot cobs with a machine and used a pulley for the apples. We Had a rubber ducky race and then they lifted pumpkins to see who can pick up the heaviest and we watched the pig race. We did eat their nachos and curly fries, it's general and convenient. They blew huge bubbles, rolled the hamster wheel, rode the pig barrel, jumped the pad and raced tricycles. We are definitely coming back next year because I got great memories and family photos. read more

This place is an absolute GEM. We have been two years to the Berries, Brews and BBQ they have in June. It's SO much fun for a family day out. We had lunch, tasted some great beers and the kids had an absolute BLAST playing and riding. Oh and the Berries!!! Oh the berries. We got the sweetest most juicy Hood Berries and they were so fun to pick. For families with kids, there are endless things for the kids to do. A big huge bounce area, a piggy barrel ride, the tractor ride out to the berry field, feeding the goats, sheep and ducks, an obstacle course, slides, etc. My kids and our friends kids had an absolute blast. For about $25 per adult we got a bucket for berries, 5 drink tickets each (which could be for 2 pints or 5 tastings,) or used for food. And you're set for the day! It was, as it has always been, a fabulous time. Highly recommend it here!! (Also random note: they have THE cleanest porta potty I've ever been into in my life. I NEVER use them because they stink and they're nasty but these were immaculate. I have been known to hold it all day but I used their potty 3 times and took my kids 3-5 times and each time they were still clean. I really appreciate that.) read more

Given how busy farms like this are during October finding this place was great. We bought our tickets 4 days in advance and it was well worth the planning. Pumpkin prices were reasonable as well. After going to some farms out in st paul stopped here at French prairie gardens to get some baked goods. So we got a dozen strawberry donuts and two strawberry scones. Got home and tried the donuts first and they are OK. Kinda bland and really nothing that special to them. Really not much strawberry taste and just a little bland all together. Now to the scones. They looked really good but when we cut into them we realized they where not cooked inside and half of them where gooey and un edibles. The parts we could eat where bland and eh not great. Really disappointing because we where looking forward to these treats. read more

We went to Mother's Day, brunch last Sunday and were so disappointed. $50 seems like a fairly high price for a brunch and you'd think you'd have something other than paper plates and plastic forks. The food was disappointing. No omelette station, no French toast, no bacon. The petting zoo was a joke. There was one sheep. Plus we had to pay $30 for our two year old granddaughter's meal. Only reason not 5 star is the lack of condiments for the hot dogs and sausages, there should be numerous variety of mustards plus diced onions and sauerkraut. Also no kids meals and prices too high, 5 dollars for a side of macaroni and cheese or a hot dog is way too expensive. They should have kids meals for 5 that includes the hot dog, a side and beverage for that now it will cost you 12 dollars per child plus the 15 to get in with all attractions so 27 a person. read more

I wanted to come with my family. They charge $18 for two hours for my 2 and 4 years plus adults. That's $72 for two hours at the farm! Way too expensive for the experience. $12 for a corn dog. The fair was cheaper than that. They just lined up a bunch of activities for the kids and charge an outrageous price. The whole day for our family of 5 was over $200. $130 just to get in. I start saving for these things and am so upset that I wasted my money. Go to Bauman's farm, you won't regret it but you will regret this farm trip. And I heard this from everyone I talked to when I was there. The only thing good was the pig racing. ANNOYING AND EXPENSIVE...I like to be able to bring our kids here because the idea is good. Great play areas and I will usually turn a blind eye to the fact that my husband and I have to pay the $5 fee just to watch our kids play...pi3ce of advice..have a kid rate and a parent rate. One time I brought (with a phone call and approval) my husband, myself, our 2 kids and our puppy. They charged me $5 per head..including the puppy. Price gouging.... And today..a beautiful day, I made the trip 20 minutes out to let my kids play and get some wiggles out even thought I cant stand the fact that I have to pay for my husband and myself even though we are sitting around watching our kids....Well guess what? Only the nursery is open. I checked the website, it didnt have any info on that so frankly..today is the last time we will visit French Prairie Farms. You take advantage of people and price gouge and frankly I'll spend my money elsewhere. Its unfortunate because I like to keep my money local but this place wants to capitalize on each and every 1/2 cent they can get and that's gross in my opinion. I decided to take the back roads home from the Woodburn outlets one late summer day, got stuck behind a very slow driver, and pulled in here just to make the slow driving stop. I got lost looking at all the different produce and trying all kinds of fun things. Did you know yellow watermelon is a thing?! I didn't - and it was so good! I was amazed to find a "bar" outback, where you could sample or enjoy a pint, even fill your growler. Word. Before I left with my variety of fresh yummies, I had to have them whip me up a caramel apple milkshake (the seasonal special). Oh wow. Why isn't this flavor catching on across the country, it was fab. I'd love to stop in at other times of the year to see what else they've got. read more

Passed by on accident but a delightful accident for sure! The women who attended me were so friendly and showed me around to their plants and produce. The most beautiful apples and strawberries and not to mention the freshest veggies! I will def be passing through as often as I can. I usually don't write reviews but after reading some of the not so good reviews I have to state my case. We recently visited the Blues and Brews event and had a fantastic time. The plant prices were very competitive and the BBQ was delicious. As far as the baked goods.....to bad those people hadn't tried the chocolate chip or oatmeal raisin cookies absolutely delicious. As far as I'm concerned better than La Provence in Lake Oswego. For the people that just want to come on their property and use the services......someone has to pay for keeping the property maintained. Next time go to a park that you pay for through your taxes...no free ride! read more

It was pricy considering adults had to pay $8 per person for general admission just to be with the children. We paid $15 per child for the wristbands. School is off, decided to take my family to this place, boy it was a bad mistake, The experience will make me stay away from this place forever. First. The cashier is rude and obnoxious. Feel sorry for her husband and her kids if she have any. Second the entry fee was $8.00 a person. I don't mind paying the fee, but they have nothing that is worth a cents to do. We paid and walked in and we noticed what they have and decided to go out and asked for a refund. Between the time we paid and the time we decided to walked out is about 10 minutes. The ho cashier went to ask the owner, the owner said no refund after you walked in. Looked like the owner just think about money, but not for repeat customer at all. We end up left the place within 20 minutes. We paid $40.00. They can use that $40.00 to buy themselves a coffin and hope they burn on their way to hell. Do not waste your time and money at this place, unless you want to donate your money for them to buy coffin. read more

I did the CSA through French Prairie Gardens. The whole 18 weeks was full of disappointment. From sparsely filled bags to aphid covered veggies. I would even call to ask about things and all I got was snapped at. I was never reassured that things would get better, now I know why and when I emailed and told them I had to throw things out because they were covered in aphid, they told me it was still edible. WHAT?? I spent $18 on their veggies every week, but had to supplement every.single.week with veggies from the farmers market or grocery store. Most weeks I would pick up on Wednesday and it would all be gone by Friday. It didn't help that I was also constantly comparing mine to others my friends were part of. We definitely were getting way less than they were. One day at pick up I saw a gal there that had done it the year before. She said that last year there were 20 people picking up at this location, this year.....5. That speaks volumes to me. Not only will I not do this one next year, I am pretty sure I won't be doing any at all next year. read more

Came here for the Berries, Brews, BBQ and Wine Festival this past weekend. Admission and parking were both free, which was great! The BBQ competition was small but we were happy to try some new vendors in the surrounding areas. It seemed like a great environment for families as well. It was a perfect and low cost day in the sunshine. We loved it so much on Saturday that we ended up spending the entirety of Sunday there too. We look forward to going back in the fall!! read more

We loved the idea of supporting a local farm so we checked out their store. The produce looked really good so we signed up for the CSA months in advance. What we got in our bags didn't look anything like what we saw in the store. The berries were good though the strawberries were covered with mud. The carrots were tiny and curled up so much they were almost imposable to peel. The peaches we got were nasty. It was clear that we paid retail price in advance to get produce that they wouldn't even try to sell in the store. Any question or complain I raised was blown off as if I don't matter! So poor product and poor customer service. We won't be doing it again next year. read more

We have participated in the CSA program for three years. I have been more than happy with the produce we have received. I grew up helping with my parents vegetable garden and fruit trees. So I learned that the sweeter the fruit or vegetable the more 'bugs' would want to eat it before we did. I expect freshly picked produce to have flaws. You know when it doesn't? When chemicals that kill everything have been sprayed to keep the produce perfect. I wash my vegetables no matter where I buy them but when I occasionally see a bug - I know I'm not having to worry about chemical residue. Washing off a little dirt and seeing a bug isn't nearly as alarming as consuming chemicals! The variety has been good. The prices are fair (go price organic produce at the stores - it isn't cheap)! We have also purchased some flats of fruit for canning and flower baskets in the spring. None have disappointed. I highly recommend trying the recipes on their blog for each week of produce.
