There is even a childrens playground. The hostess was very nice when we checked in and allowed us to check in early. It's in a central location for shopping and restaurants in Ellsworth. The electronics were slightly dated, but the apartment smelled very fresh and overall gave a very homey, rustic vibe. There were two bedrooms (one had a king sized bed and one had two double beds), two bathrooms (one had a jacuzzi), a kitchen, and living room with a dining table. The toilet bowl in one of the bathrooms was stained, but it was a minor matter since everything was clean. This community IS called a resort, and I agree that it is a bit misleading, BUT they do have a pool and game/activity room in the main office. We were still blown away by the comfort and cleanliness of our apartment, and will definitely stay here again when visiting Acadia!

The Inn itself is quaint and historic and the perfect location for an event or a group getaway. It is right next to the water and just beautiful. There are canoes to use as well as games and books inside. They are also just great restaurant and bar as well, with amazing specialty drinks and an eclectic collection of local beer and IPAs on tap. I highly recommend this place for your summer or fall getaway. I know we'll be back.
