I hired your highly regarded firm to assist in the handling of my injury case, but that decision only led to your office preventing me from going to my physical therapy appointments, negatively impacting my treatment for injuries sustained in the accident. By refusing to amend your Letter of Protection, your office declined to work with my current provider and instead tried to usher me to seek treatment elsewhere (with one of your partnering providers). During this period, comments were made regarding my current provider that I found inappropriate and unprofessional. I was unable to see my caring physician for two weeks. Therefore, I thought it best to terminate your services, as they had done nothing but cause harm. When I requested the termination, it was then stated that there would be a lien placed on my settlement with the at-fault insurance company. No provision in the contract provided to me stated that such a lien would apply in the event of early termination. The contract was missing a signature from a representative of Frenkel and Frenkel, thus, according to your contract the contract was not valid or binding. Once I requested termination of Frenkel and Frenkel's services, only then was I provided with a fully executed contract, which had no date or confirmation of authentication. Raising concerns for me whether the contract was executed after my request to terminate. You have ignored my multiple attempts to reach out to you in regards to resolving this, which included a letter to my former attorney and then a Demand Letter to remove the lien, which was sent to both Frenkels and my former attorney. I called several times to initiate follow up and was still ignored. I will not be recommending Frenkel and Frenkel's services to anyone, and I will warn others not to fall victim to the same mistreatment and setbacks I experienced under your representation. read more

Word to the wise: they might call your doctor and give them information before they talk to you about it. If you do not want this, state so up front. Morning: I fill out a form for a consult. Lunchtime: I have a call with Gene Burkett. He asks a lot of questions and collects a lot of personal information including which doctor I am seeing. About 2-3 hours later: I receive a call from my doctor's office stating "Our sources at Frenkel & Frenkel have informed us that they're not taking your case" I immediately call Frenkel & Frenkel back and cannot reach anyone to comment on this. A day later: they still have not reached out to me personally to let me know they're not taking my case and they cannot be bothered to take my calls. I leave an unhappy message with one of the Frenkels. I receive the explanation that he was just asking my doctor's office for permission to refer me to a different lawyer because I said that I was referred to him by my doctor's office. He only wants to help. I find this dubious, but I'm not a lawyer. Things he did right: finally talked to me and did give me a referral elsewhere. read more

Nope nope nope! This firm is horrible! They are noncommunicative, lazy, passive, and they bail on clients if they get their feelings hurt or when a case gets too difficult for their very limited knowledge of law application. This firm, and especially attorney Ralph Landau, gives all lawyers and law firms a worse image than that which already existed. I would be extremely embarrassed to tell anyone I trudged through law school and the bar exam only to have learned nothing and end up completely ineffective and laughable as an attorney. If you have a PI case, and you need an attorney, do not hire anyone at this firm if your case matters at all to you. Because it won't matter at all to them. And their egos are too fragile to handle criticism. If you call them out for being incompetent, they get their diapers in a bunch and will surreptitiously drop your case and allow your doctor to break the news to you. Ridiculous. read more

My family was involved in a head on collision on private property making my case very sensitive. Communication is horrible I had to send numerous emails,text and calls in order to get an update on my case when I did speak with my attorney Jason I asked had he got my emails and calls he says yes I got all of them. Ok sir why didn't you return calls or emails that's the professional thing to do I will be filing a grievance against my attorney and the firm their practices are not holding up to the attorney client creed they supposed to stand for at all. It's really no attorney client privilege at all they will let any and everyone access your file and obtain your personal info. My final settlement memo was sent to me on the 8th of September but they had it dated august 26th so why wait to give me the memo they are very unprofessional and think because they are attorneys they can do what they want not with me I won't allow them to get away with the unethical bias behavior they have tried to get away with each client should be treated with same respect as others we are the ones they are making money off of. read more
