I am writing to express my disappointment with the customer service experience my girlfriend and I had at Fresh by Brookshire's on the evening of [insert date], around 7:40 PM. Earlier that same day, I was informed by a staff member that the pizza department closed at 8:00 PM. Based on that information, we arrived at approximately 7:40 PM to order a pizza. When we approached the counter, the young lady working there told us they were closed. There was no greeting or explanation offered initially. I explained that I had been told the department closed at 8:00 PM. She responded that they closed at 7:45 PM. Since it was still before that time, I asked to speak with the manager. The night manager, Graham, came over. Unfortunately, his demeanor was unwelcoming and dismissive. He stated that they stop taking orders at 7:45 PM. By the time he spoke with us, it may have been around 7:42 PM, but we were already at the counter before that time. No attempt was made to accommodate us or to clarify the discrepancy in closing times. Instead, the interaction felt rushed and unfriendly. My frustration is not just about the pizza, but about: * Inconsistent information given to customers * Poor communication * Lack of basic customer service and courtesy from management If the pizza department stops taking orders earlier than the posted or communicated closing time, that should be clearly stated and consistently enforced. More importantly, customers should be treated with respect and professionalism. I plan to follow up directly with the store manager, as I believe this experience does not reflect the level of service Fresh by Brookshire's should stand for. read more

What could be better than sangria while you grocery shop?! Exactly. A few years back I went to a regular Brookshire's and was turned off to the brand. The store was dingy/dirty, multiple items were past the expiration date, and the fresh fruit and veggies looked...less than fresh. I heard about FRESH in early 2024, but didn't want to make the trek to check it out. Well, well, well... I'm glad I made a visit. All of the produce was fresh, they have most staples, and they treat their customers well (my experience and observation of customer service towards others). The store was *very clean and I enjoyed the added bonus of the bar and bakery area. The Thanksgiving stuffing stuffed mushrooms were *chef's kiss*. Love this place. It's just the right size for a grocery store. They have the greatest salad bar and other specialties like in the meat and seafood counters. The cream cheese stuffed bacon wrapped cowboy jalapenos are perfect for a girl like me who can't take the heat. read more

Prices are a bit high, especially when I can drive a few miles east to another Brookshire branded store and find items that are $3 to $5 cheaper. Savings add up when you buy a weeks' worth of food. Overall, the store is clean, but I can't see shopping in a "designer" grocery store in this economy. Fresh is our closest grocery store. It is a great place for novelties, but it has some staples too. Great produce, wine, dessert, and meat selections. It is pricy, but like I said it is a great place for novelties. Added bonus is the coffee counter and the small playground in the back. read more

Fresh is a great feature to the Rockwall, Heath, Fate, Royse City area. An upscale grocer is much needed and appreciated. From their in store restaurant bays, coffee house, and bar, you can easily hang out and relax as you shop. We always prefer to go here and pick out more unique meats and seafood for a night of grilling. read more

I bought fish at 38.99 a lb. A special occasion, a splurge, resulting in a horrible meal. The fish was a bit slimy when i took it out right after i bought it. The smell was a bit fishy but i continued. It was completely bad. It did not cook right and tasted bad. That can be something that happens in stores but when i called the store to let them know - they offered me a refund but they were defensive and rude - like it was my fault. That was the biggest offense to me. I was disappointed about bad expensive fish but even more so they didn't care. That is so sad. They represent themselves like they are better than other stores but bottom line is what makes you better - is better service. I'm out. read more

Grill outside closes at 8:45 on weekends and 7:45 on weekdays. Expensive and limited selection but clean and always stocked. Outside shaded play structure. Live music. Juice bar. Since the market has contacted me in commentary, I withheld one star because Google says you are open until 10pm and your employees were short and pushy to me while I was hurrying my children before 9pm. We came in at 845 because our kids took long naps and I needed to get them a snack and have them run off the extra energy. (The parks are too hot when the sun is up) While they were making their selections at the salad bar, your employees started packing things up WHILE we were still trying to fill our containers. My children were looking at the gelato as we walked by and the employee behind the counter loudly exclaimed "I'M CLOSED NOW!" When we were grabbing drinks before walking to the checkout line, a cashier thought we were approaching his register and he did the same "I'M CLOSED!" (This from over the cooler I was opening) I said "Okay, I'm just grabbing their drinks." Once we were all finished checking out, we went to the play structure. My toddler is potty training and started taking off her pants so my husband tried to rush her to the bathroom where an employee quickly pulled the door shut and wouldn't let him in with her. So my husband had to carry her all the way inside. The only employee that was actually decent about the closing was the cashier at the grill outside who pleasantly told me the grill hours and explained why they close everything down before the posted 9pm. All of this before 10pm which is posted on Google. If Google has it wrong, maybe update it with them. In the meantime, please don't treat your customers like crap after the stroke of the clock. My husband stops at Fresh nearly every day after work. He drives from Arlington. For now, there are plenty of other options along the way I've asked him to use instead. read more

Beautiful clean store, great produce, gluten free option for me, great variety for foods.

The food here at the counter inside is great. The deli is unbelievable. The produce section is fantastic. The prices are good here, they compete with other local grocers. The staff and team members are always willing to help find any item. The inside is super clean and organized. Things are so organized. Self checkout is great here. Fuel at the gas station is great. The restrooms are very clean and they have water closets here for privacy. They have draft beer on tap and wine to drink while shopping, they deserve a 10 for this. Sushi bar area is average. They have hot pizza. They have aged beef in the meat area. Lots of fresh foods you cannot get anywhere else in the area. They have different ethnic areas. I can highly recommend this establishment to shop in. read more

Okay I'm officially old when I get excited about grocery stores. Went to this store and it's the best grocery store l've ever been to. Honestly so much grass fed shit, baked goods, artisanal shit that I felt like a hipster! Also beer! That you can drink in the store.... And 1 dollar Wednesdays!!! WTH is THAT. HOW IS IT POSSIBLE! More places need this, it really was amazing. I will say that the whole time I was there had no idea how they can sustain such a crazy grocery store. I decided to give Fresh another try and the GM along with the store manager clean and prepared 4 new red snapper filets from their fresh seafood market at no charged and I have to comment how accommodating they both were to keep my business for their store! Great selections, spotless clean, the employees are always kind and helpful, they always have a variety of foods available in the deli. We love to bring the kids because they have kid buggy's with steering wheels that they just love! They have a bar in the center of the store, great deals, a delicious coffee bar... a playground outside for the kids... I mean what's not to love here? Their bouquets and flowers are to die for as well! We ordered a custom birthday cake from the bakery as well and everyone loved it, it was beautiful and delicious. read more

I love fresh especially for the product and already prepared veggies to make meal prep that much faster. However, this time I paid for prepped asparagus only to get home and realize that it wasn't prepped properly. Anyone who knows how to prepare asparagus, know that you bend the stack to where it naturally breaks and discard the woody end. there are those people who boil it into a limp soggy mess, but that is because they don't know any better- if you like it that way, great, but it's not the proper way to serve it. This is a teachable moment for the prep staff. Lately, quality has diminished a bit and their 50% off stickers look the same but are never 50% off anymore. 20% - 40% off at best. It's no wonder discount stuff sits 3x as long now. Someone in the marketing dept needs a fresh lesson on product elimination strategy. They aren't hurting for $ though. So, they don't really care when stuff sits. The community sees it though and several are choosing to drive (in masses) to Aldi and Kroger instead. We still go for emergency items, like a corner market. read more

Definitely one of the coolest grocery stores I've been to. They have wine and beer that you can order and drink in store while shopping. They also have a restaurant with an outdoor patio and a kids playground! Inside the store they also have a wide variety of all products including organic and exotic vegetables and fruit. They have plenty of ample parking and easy access to their playground. read more

He mentioned the meat he bought was supposed to be $11.99 but rang up $13.99 and the cashier said "oh yeah" and fixed it. I am very disappointed and don't plan to go back. 5 minutes from home and I will be happy to drive further for groceries. Yes the outside is great with the music and wanna get away ordeal but Customer service sucks!!!! Plain and simple. I bought some Deli items spent more than I should and when I get home to make a sandwich my cheese was a mess. I could not even get one piece before tearing into the others. So I called to let them know, hey just FYI. Person answered and blew me off transferred me to Deli. Guess what? They picked up and hung up. So I call again thinking oh disconnected. Someone else answered and didn't even let me say, hey I was disconnected. She heard Deli and transferred me. By then I'm boiling. And Deli picked up and hung up. Grrr. So I decide let me call corporate and so they tell me I need to speak with customer service please hold. Then she gets back on the phone to tell me the cust service is not available call back in 10 min. ‍. What company has 1 cust service rep.? So I'm done. This place has a fair selection of produce/vegetables and a good sushi bar! Their selection of other items is fairly poor and over-priced. I come here and get what I need then leave quickly. The shopping experience is not good (for me).....mainly because the customers are rude. There's often a crowd of teens playing in the store and clogging the isles. It's like this is the "hang out" spot for teens. Essentially, this is an expensive Kroger with good vegetables. I do recommend coming here if you don't mind rude people blocking the isles in a fairly small store. For me, it's a poor shopping experience. Been here 3 times and I prefer Kroger. read more
