This yse to be a very clean place. But when the Girls sold out this place has gone down hill. Never cleaned. Machines not working. Cannot use your credit/debit cards on any machine even though the are equipped to accept cards. Will NEVER come here again. all of our dress slacks and trousers are folded over sort of near the seam. The front crease down the leg is obliterated. The pants are not zipped and buttoned and are incredibly wrinkled looking -- cannot be worn to church or business functions since they look like we bought them at a thrift store. I don't care about the prices, what I want is for pants only worn a half dozen times to still look new. Also they never button the collars back down. This is a difficult task for older fingers. And prepaying is something we never have had to do at any of the previous cleaners we used in Concord, Walnut Creek or Benicia. read more

I'm glad I gave them a shot. I was going to another one by Safeway along Lincoln Boulevard and I was not happy with the results. My clothes came back the colors looked dull and faded. They even removed a belt on a unique beloved sweater, which is one of those that has to be looped inside. They could have secured the end of the belt with a safety pin, which is what dry cleaners would typically do on that. At Fresh Cleaners, my clothes did not fade or get harmed. The colors remained vibrant. I made sure to pay attention to one particular garment, a colorful summer kaftan. I would've seen a difference right away. Overpriced. Went in to get 2 dresses hemmed & they Tried to charge me 70$. No, the dresses weren't Lined. Asked why so much. She said one dress was 25$, easy To hem. The second dress was 45$ and very difficult To hem. I said thanks but no thanks. I took dresses to Anthonys on pleasant grove: 30$ for both. read more

Unfortunately the service here is terrible but the hired help are the ones who get the blame. I've had one shirt lost and now on my latest service 4 shirts came back and one went somewhere else. This business was deceitful about services & dishonest about prices. I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LAUNDRY & DRY CLEANING! I'm disappointed in older lady (supposedly person "in charge") lying to me about whether my husband's shirts could be laundered vs dry cleaned. After 20+ yrs of taking hubby's shirts to cleaners, I know which shirts need expensive dry cleaning process or thrown in washing machine, starched & pressed (aka laundry). I turn in about 8-10 shirts every couple weeks & always request, "Laundry." The price runs between $2-3 a shirt, but I have found some places as low as $1.50 (usually requires specific day of week, coupon, or special). My former dry cleaner told me most items can be laundered unless care tag states, "Dry Clean Only". Unfortunately, default method is dry cleaning unless you request another method. Back to my experience- This older lady took 8 shirts from me. I said, "Laundry only with medium starch." She pretends to read care instructions on collars & divides them in half. She said half of them need to be dry cleaned. Important side note: All these shirts are made by same manufacturer & same type of material. How she came up w/ half of them needing dry cleaning from "reading care label" was a JOKE!! Now, I could see how she could get away with this if I had originally sent in my child or another person who doesn't know about these specific clothes. But, she flat out lied to the wrong person! I told her they didn't need to be dry cleaned as I have had them laundered several times. Then she said, "They will be the same price whether laundry or dry clean." I knew dry cleaning was more expensive, so I thought they were going to give me the laundering price. I asked price & she said they would be $7 each. I about fell over!!! I told her I have never paid that much & knew the shirts wouldn't withstand the dry cleaning process because it leaves this horrible sheen from the chemicals (learned from past mistakes). I told her I would take them to another cleaner in town since she wouldn't take them as laundry. At this point, she tried to change her story & mumbled something incomprehensible. She wanted to take the shirts, but my mind was immediately changed. Getting caught lying to potential customers for more money is not a good way to start off a business relationship. Therefore, I headed to a locally-owned, honest, small business, not a franchise. I told the new place about my incident w/ Fresh Cleaners & we checked the care instructions together. The shirt collars all read, "Machine Wash..." The new place agreed Fresh Cleaners could have ruined the shirts by dry cleaning. Even more disheartening, they also said Fresh Cleaners would have laundered shirts, but charged dry cleaning prices. They said it's an unfortunate, but common complaint about that place. read more

Do not patronize this business!! I just had to write about 2 ridiculous situations with this horrible place ... First issue happened on a Saturday and we had to pick up our dry cleaning but it was late in the day, so I called to verify what time they closed. The time was 3:45pm and the lady who answered told me they close in 5 minutes at 4pm. I verified the time on my phone and she insisted she would close in 5 minutes no matter what. She was very rude and argumentative, and it was clear she wanted to close the doors prior to their posted hours. We got there 5 minutes before 4pm ... Her attitude was still bad. Fast forward to the 2nd situation ... We went to pick up our clothes, one of the pieces was left at the other store on Twelve Bridges and because it was Saturday and we needed it for work on Monday, we had to go drive to the other store & pick it up! What did we get for this inconvenience that they caused?! A measly 20% off ... HORRIBLE. read more
