A cute, cozy, immaculate eatery where you can have sandwiches your way. My group of four had a Reuben, a BLT, and two Turkey subs and there were nothing but compliments on the quality and quantity of fresh meats, freshly cooked bread and condiments. This place is located right in paradise and 20 minutes from tahquamenon falls state park. It's very cute outside, trendy and touristy but still rustic for the UP. There is outside seating on a little patio. The sign states "always fresh, sometimes frozen" which is funny and honest. Inside there are a few tables but your surrounded by souvenirs... basically it's a gift shop with a counter to order food. Basic breakfast options with fair pricing. Snacks and drinks can be purchased to go for convenience which provide made in Michigan options. I assumed only sandwiches were offered but there's omelets, subs, pancakes, French toast and biscuits and gravy. The lady at the counter seemed stressed and overwhelmed. It was busy for a mid week early morning....she was a bit short. But I get it. Just saying. We ordered a bacon egg and cheese sub, full size we were informed is huge so my husband and I are sharing. The worker was very friendly and let us know it would take him a few minutes to get our sandwiches ready. As he handed each sandwich over each family member commented how heavy they were. Upon opening them up to eat each sandwich was packed with meats and toppings depending on what we ordered. Compared to chain shops that charge based on their name this little gem gives you your moneys worth and then some on their sandwiches. If we head back to the area this would be a must stop location for a meal. There's indoor and outdoor seating if you want to stay on site to eat and the decorations they have up inside is all art that can be purchased. My ham and cheese sub was tasty, but the bacon-chicken-ranch sub was not good. The Cinnamon roll was not great either. It was a pulled pork sandwich with provolone cheese and slaw on your choice of wheat or white bun. The sandwich was amazing and huge! We could have split the sandwich and still been full. The people were very friendly. To top our dinner off, we got white chocolate macadamia cookies. They were also huge and were very tasty. Sandwiches were good..... but... Located in paradise mi between the shipwreck museum and the falls they are bound to get a lot of tourist traffic right? We were disappointed about the long wait. At the peak of tourist season they need more then two workers on duty. We ordered and then waited a half hour before we got our food. The sandwiches were solid.... would have been better if they had the bread choice we wanted (all they had was white bread). We ordered cookies and they tasted freezer burnt. Amazingly delicious! Also I'm gluten free. Vickie overheard me talking with my husband about my limited options and said they also have gluten free bread. Of course I said yes and had the Coastline on GF. When I opened the wrapping, I nearly cried. It was a beautifully toasted sandwich and I haven't been able to have a sandwich outside of home in years! To say it was fabulous is an understatement. The bread tasted homemade and was so fresh as if it had just come out of the oven. Vickie was so happy to hear how much I enjoyed it. (She is also their chef.) She said I was the first to comment on the gluten free bread and she was thrilled to hear it was good. She said it comes from a local bakery. I recommend this little gem to everyone! Although at first blush, the prices would seem high, but the care and talent with which our sandwiches we're crafted made it worth every nickle! Be warned the sandwiches are large enough to share! Not many dining choices Paradise, MI. However, this place makes some amazing rotisserie chicken. In general sort of a Subway style sandwich shop with a fresh, local twist.
