My husband and I quickly stopped by to get some Moomer's ice cream. I had him go inside while I waited with the kids. I did ask for one scoop and they gave me more than one. The total for a cone and a small cup of ice cream was around $20. The price was a little high. However, the ice cream did taste really good. The cow tracks is similar to moos tracks. It did have big peanut butter balls which were delicious. Overall its a great place to stop in for some dessert. They also have food options as well.

Some outdoor benches and located near Marquette Park if the weather is good (or take on the ride around the island)

We recently visited the island and we were starving as we arrived. This spot was quick and efficient and the staff was great! We ordered a 6" BLT with avocado and a 12" #8 that had chicken, lettuce, tomato, bacon and chipotle's mayo to split between two people. The sandwiches were great! Kinda like a mix of jimmy johns and subway but better cuz the ingredients were local and fresh. We found a spot in the front window and enjoyed the soda choices even! We came back the next day for some Moomers ice cream.

We got to Mackinac Island around lunchtime and our first order of business before we did our bike around the island was to do a quick lunch. We didn't want anything too "sit down" at a restaurant, plus the island was busy, so we were also looking for somewhere with no wait so we wouldn't have to waste time. Enter - Good Day Cafe! This spot is SO CUTE and seriously so inviting. It's the perfect spot for a quick pick me up and we were all able to get drinks and a sandwich, which was the perfect pre-8 mile bike ride meal! It hit the spot, and if we weren't chomping at the bit ready to go biking around the island, we probably would've indulged in their Moomer's ice cream selection as well!! Next time! This spot is perfect for a quick bite and honestly, it was one of the few that we spotted on that main road right where you enter Mackinac Island that could do a quick bite with no wait, so definitely a pro tip for all those who are looking for this throughout their Mackinac Island adventures! Plenty of wonderful gift shops, sit down restaurants, and fudge shops of course up and down this Main Street, but only one Good Day Cafe!

    Cute place!

Great spot for lunch. We needed a quick, easy, economical meal. We received two terrific sandwiches that survived the 15-20 minute walk back to our hotel patio. My Ta Da Turkey Pesto sandwich hit the mark. Flavorful, filling and enough going on to make it interesting. Served on ciabatta bread. Yum. Husband chose the Island Cuban which was also a nice sandwich. Compared to other prices on the island, this lunch felt like a good deal. They also offered yummy sounding smoothies and ice cream, too! Maybe next time! The cafe itself is cute inside; looked like it would be a nice place to sit had we not wanted to eat back at the hotel. Update: we stopped in for a post-race ice cream treat today at the back-of-the-store "Moomers" section. Yum!! Flavors included standards and some inventive ones like "Cherries Moobilee". This is my kind of ice cream store. They allow two flavors in a "single" so you don't have to limit yourself or overindulge. I chose a waffle cone single with cherries moobilee and coffee-toffee. So creamy and delicious! Grab a cup or cone of your best flavors and head to the park near by to sit in the shade. Perfect!

We usually stop by here at least once during our time on the Island. They have a good variety of ice cream, coffee drinks, smoothies, pastries and sandwiches. I like getting the flight so we can try bunch of flavors. The ice cream is pretty good and creamy. It was very clean and had few tables to sit inside.

Every time I visit the Island, I find myself also visiting Good Day Café. It is a friendly and delicious place to get a quick bite to eat, start your day off with breakfast, or treat yourself to ice cream. It is easy to get to and easy to find within downtown. It is one of its kind on the Island since downtown has either sit-down places or ice cream/dessert only places. Good Day Café offers a little bit of everything too and it is decently priced and comes out quick. My last couple trips were trying their breakfast sandwich and smoothies. The breakfast sandwich was huge and packed with all of the fixings. Very generous with the meat, egg, and cheese - even the size of the bagel was big. The smoothie, Berry Bliss was also a good size for the price. The smoothie was packed with big berry flavor and hit the spot on a hot day. Single stall bathrooms are in the back. Good amount of places to sit both inside and a few benches line the windows outside to sit. A must try when visiting!

Very busy; had a good flow to the service they provided. Great place for a quick bite in the morning. Caramel macchiato was the best that I have ever had. Darn Good sandwich was really yummy as well! Waffle sandwich had s good balance of sweet and savory.

I've cream cones with the cute town/park behind.

Coffee was really bad and very overpriced. $9 for a latte that isn't even good espresso. Staff was also not friendly.

Bread made in house seemed like stale, cheap buns. They mass on the mayo but that doesn't help the bun quality.

The atmosphere was so cute and decorated with beautiful art. We tried their famous poppie, which is basically a giant homemade pop tart. My smoothie standards are sky-high, and the smoothie that I had a Watercolor Cafe was amazing. It was so good that I made everyone at the table taste it, and we agreed: superb smoothie. The Blueberry Bliss has blueberries, banana, white chocolate and oak milk in it. I wish there were a little more nutritious (maybe throw in some flax, hemp seed and/or chia), but maybe that's why it's so delicious. Another delicious thing: the Peanut Butter Deluxe Toast, which is creamy peanut butter and sliced bananas with a drizzle of honey on wheat bread. Super tasty and filling! I got the avocado toast, and it wasn't my favorite. The avocado tasted more like packaged guacamole, and I got it with an egg, which is literally a hard-boiled egg that sits on top. Also, the toast was more like just a soft piece of bread. I mean, I guess technically, all of the components are there, but the execution needed some work. The breakfast burrito was super tasty (it came with chorizo), and one of my kids got the kids' mac and cheese, which came with a cookie. When these guys say that breakfast is served until 11 a.m., they really mean it! We visited around 10:50, wanting to order off of the lunch menu, but they didn't let us. I think the only lunchy offerings during breakfast time is the kids' menu. The seating inside is very cute: There's a craft station with paper, coloring books, and all kinds of colored pencils and things to create something at your table. Outside, you can sit on the patio and enjoy the view of the lake. Dogs are welcome on the patio and given water and a treat!

The baristas took the time to ask what we were looking for and helped us navigate the menu. The drinks were delicious, and we enjoyed them enough to stop by two days in a row while visiting Mackinaw City. On the first day, I ordered the Coconut Paradise. It was a little heavy on the ice, likely because it was made by a barista in training, but the flavor was well balanced. It was smooth, not too tart, and not overly sweet. The only downside was that the extra ice made it difficult to stir. We also tried the Bird's Eye Latte, which was sweet, flavorful, and very enjoyable. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who prefers sweeter coffee drinks. On our second visit, I ordered the Maple Harvest Cold Brew. Since it uses real maple syrup, it took some effort to mix thoroughly, and I didn't notice the maple flavor until after stirring. We also tried the matcha, which wasn't sweet and had the rich, earthy green tea flavor that I love. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great drink in Mackinaw City!

Blessed from all directions. A patty melt was on the menu, so that's what I got. I can't not get a patty melt if I see one on a menu! This one was beefy and melty, with caramelized red onions between two slices of rye bread. All of the burgers and sandwiches come with plain potato chips and a pickle spear. We also got a regular cheeseburger and bleu cheese burger. All of the burgers are served on a pretzel bun, which is not my favorite type of bun, but I wasn't eating those burgers, and the eaters didn't seem to mind. Chuckwagon has a small kids' menu (the Lil' Buckaroo's Menu), with four items on it. Your kids can choose from a pb & j sandwich, a hot dog, a grilled cheese sandwich and mac & cheese. My little buckaroo chose the mac & cheese, which I believe was Kraft mac & cheese. Kids' menu items don't come with anything additional. This is a small restaurant with limited seating. You can sit at the counter and watch the action happen, or if you're lucky, you can find one of the few tables lining the wall or located in the back of the restaurant. Either way, depending on when you visit, you might encounter a crowd! But I think it's worth it to visit this old-school diner-type restaurant.
