My husband and I quickly stopped by to get some Moomer's ice cream. I had him go inside while I waited with the kids. I did ask for one scoop and they gave me more than one. The total for a cone and a small cup of ice cream was around $20. The price was a little high. However, the ice cream did taste really good. The cow tracks is similar to moos tracks. It did have big peanut butter balls which were delicious. Overall its a great place to stop in for some dessert. They also have food options as well.

Some outdoor benches and located near Marquette Park if the weather is good (or take on the ride around the island)

We recently visited the island and we were starving as we arrived. This spot was quick and efficient and the staff was great! We ordered a 6" BLT with avocado and a 12" #8 that had chicken, lettuce, tomato, bacon and chipotle's mayo to split between two people. The sandwiches were great! Kinda like a mix of jimmy johns and subway but better cuz the ingredients were local and fresh. We found a spot in the front window and enjoyed the soda choices even! We came back the next day for some Moomers ice cream.

We got to Mackinac Island around lunchtime and our first order of business before we did our bike around the island was to do a quick lunch. We didn't want anything too "sit down" at a restaurant, plus the island was busy, so we were also looking for somewhere with no wait so we wouldn't have to waste time. Enter - Good Day Cafe! This spot is SO CUTE and seriously so inviting. It's the perfect spot for a quick pick me up and we were all able to get drinks and a sandwich, which was the perfect pre-8 mile bike ride meal! It hit the spot, and if we weren't chomping at the bit ready to go biking around the island, we probably would've indulged in their Moomer's ice cream selection as well!! Next time! This spot is perfect for a quick bite and honestly, it was one of the few that we spotted on that main road right where you enter Mackinac Island that could do a quick bite with no wait, so definitely a pro tip for all those who are looking for this throughout their Mackinac Island adventures! Plenty of wonderful gift shops, sit down restaurants, and fudge shops of course up and down this Main Street, but only one Good Day Cafe!

    Cute place!

Great spot for lunch. We needed a quick, easy, economical meal. We received two terrific sandwiches that survived the 15-20 minute walk back to our hotel patio. My Ta Da Turkey Pesto sandwich hit the mark. Flavorful, filling and enough going on to make it interesting. Served on ciabatta bread. Yum. Husband chose the Island Cuban which was also a nice sandwich. Compared to other prices on the island, this lunch felt like a good deal. They also offered yummy sounding smoothies and ice cream, too! Maybe next time! The cafe itself is cute inside; looked like it would be a nice place to sit had we not wanted to eat back at the hotel. Update: we stopped in for a post-race ice cream treat today at the back-of-the-store "Moomers" section. Yum!! Flavors included standards and some inventive ones like "Cherries Moobilee". This is my kind of ice cream store. They allow two flavors in a "single" so you don't have to limit yourself or overindulge. I chose a waffle cone single with cherries moobilee and coffee-toffee. So creamy and delicious! Grab a cup or cone of your best flavors and head to the park near by to sit in the shade. Perfect!

We usually stop by here at least once during our time on the Island. They have a good variety of ice cream, coffee drinks, smoothies, pastries and sandwiches. I like getting the flight so we can try bunch of flavors. The ice cream is pretty good and creamy. It was very clean and had few tables to sit inside.

Every time I visit the Island, I find myself also visiting Good Day Café. It is a friendly and delicious place to get a quick bite to eat, start your day off with breakfast, or treat yourself to ice cream. It is easy to get to and easy to find within downtown. It is one of its kind on the Island since downtown has either sit-down places or ice cream/dessert only places. Good Day Café offers a little bit of everything too and it is decently priced and comes out quick. My last couple trips were trying their breakfast sandwich and smoothies. The breakfast sandwich was huge and packed with all of the fixings. Very generous with the meat, egg, and cheese - even the size of the bagel was big. The smoothie, Berry Bliss was also a good size for the price. The smoothie was packed with big berry flavor and hit the spot on a hot day. Single stall bathrooms are in the back. Good amount of places to sit both inside and a few benches line the windows outside to sit. A must try when visiting!

I've cream cones with the cute town/park behind.

This review is based solely on the ice cream. In my opinion, if you go to Macinac Island, you can't leave without having at least one scoop! You walk inside and the delicious smell hits you in the face. It's in a great location once you get off the ferry and walk a bit to the right. We took our cones to the park nearby and sat down to enjoy them. Definitely recommend any that have Macinac fudge in them.

Coffee was really bad and very overpriced. $9 for a latte that isn't even good espresso. Staff was also not friendly.

Bread made in house seemed like stale, cheap buns. They mass on the mayo but that doesn't help the bun quality.

Well, you're S.O.L., my friend. Luckily, my kids like ice cream, so we headed to Sanders because it was basically across the street from our hotel. They got a milkshake and a scoop of chocolate ice cream in a cup (their standard orders), and they were happy with their treats. But if you're looking for some other kinds of ice cream treats, they also have sundaes and things of that nature. Sanders also has a whole case of chocolate goodies, like peanut clusters, coconut clusters and pecan clusters (they seem to like their clusters here); chocolate-covered Rice Krispie Treats; truffles and peanut butter cups and toffee; caramel apples; and lots more. Oh, and fudge. But honestly, I would get fudge somewhere else that isn't a chain. There are lots of fudge places on the island. That's the thing: Sanders is a chain. But it's a Michigan chain, and originated in Detroit, so it's kinda local. Nevertheless, it's a good place to pop into to find something sweet to eat.

If they cannot do fudge samples in a clean and safe manner then I have concerns about their cleanliness. According to yelp they got marked down by the health department for not washing their hands so maybe that was for the best. I wished I noticed the ai art originally because it'd at least warn me that their products, and frankly their workers, were disappointing at best. It's a little shack right by the marina in downtown Cedarville, and you can eat your delicious cone or sundae out at the tables by the water - if it's sunset, even better! The shoppe always is well-stocked with three cases of rotating flavors of ice cream (Mackinac Island Fudge is always there, though!) plus plenty of specialty sundaes, shakes and malts to choose from. One of my family members orders a Heavenly Hill sundae (with hot fudge and Reese's Pieces on top) every time - yum! One scoop is $2 and two is only $2.50. Sundaes are a little more ($3.75-$4.75) but remember you're paying for the experience and the enjoyment of summer! They also serve hot dogs and other food-shack-type but I've never tried them. You can order from inside (standing room for only about 4 people!) or outside at the window but I think the inside is faster and you can see all the ice cream flavors. In the evenings there's usually a bit of a line but the girls who usually are working there are fast and friendly. Small little parking lot fits about 5-6 cars. There's a little slide where kids can play and a gazebo with extra seating, and it's just an all-around perfect experience to go out for ice cream in the summers in Cedarville!
