Just my type of cafe. Good foods and drinks and friendly people. I go there frequently.

Smell of bacon hits you as you walk inside. Staff are warm and inviting. They greeted us upon entry. Ordered a pumpkin butterscotch bar (made today), plain latter with oat milk, green mango tea and a Mediterranean turkey sandwich (multigrain of sour dough) for a shared snack. $21.41 They tend to run out of their cinnamon rolls first thing in the morning. No cinnamon roll. You can add cream cheese, PB and other toppings onto your baked goods. They do charge a CC surcharge. The pumpkin butterscotch is overwhelmingly heavy with the butterscotch chips. The pumpkin flavor is nice. It's a tad dry. Would like it better with chocolate chips instead. The latte with oat milk is good, the coffee is flavorful. The Mediterranean turkey was ok. The multigrain was extremely hard, the kind that will tear up your mouth. Not a lot of hummus to it. It's good it has the yellow peppers or it would be really bland and tasteless. The green mango tea is good. Good flavors. Perfectly steeped. It's quiet in the seating area, louder hearing the staff's conversations in the back kitchen area. read more

Went there two days in a row and the service was great. I didn't know they were closing and they said they could make me something and I wasn't in a rush. I ordered and left because they were kind enough to make something 3 minutes before close. The coffee is always fresh and hot. I love the leather couches they're comfortable. Definitely worth the stop. :) read more

Wow! The staff was ultra friendly and helpful. A big cup of water for our dogs. "There's more if you need it!" So then we ate lunch on the sidewalk and they brought us an amazing pasty that was huge! Came in here for breakfast. Grabbed a coffee and a bagel with cream cheese. The prices were very reasonable. They make lattes, smoothies and have coffee in thermos. The seating area is clean pretty spacious. I was super happy to see they open early. Overall, decent place to grab breakfast. read more

Just wanted a quick cup of coffee and decided to try this place. Excellent cappuccino made with almond milk. Black coffee was quite good as well. The staff is very friendly and it has a nice cozy atmosphere . We will return to this coffee house again when in the area. read more

We decided to stop here for breakfast and although the sandwich bread was sooo hard you couldn't eat it the inside of the sandwich was delicious. I wish I could have eaten the sandwich because I'm sure it would have been great. I also got a campfire flannel coffee which was pretty good! read more

I had a wonderful time visiting the Superior Cafe as a new resident of the area. I was looking for somewhere that I could work from with wifi all day while we didn't have it set up at home, and figured this was a safe bet. With ample parking outside including a paid lot next door, it made it easy to feel secure about my car not running out of time all day. I went inside, and was immediately greeted by a friendly barista who made conversation with me while I figured out the wifi and ordered a drink. She pointed to a chalkboard that clearly showed the wifi info and ensured I had no issues getting set up. I sat at a cute counter spot with ample outlets and found peace with the trickle of customers and delightful food and drinks available by the several nice baristas working. I ordered a blackberry Italian soda (with no cream) and a hot chocolate later on, both drinks were perfect and while a little higher priced, it's worth it for the quality and to support local. Really not more than you'd expect to spend at Starbucks, and not many people question those prices. Overall, I've come back several times since then and have enjoyed my visit each time. Definitely recommend this spot for a nice drink or bite to eat at a cozy cafe on the locks, and they also sell their bean coffee at Meijer in town which is awesome! read more

The breakfast pasties are worth it alone as are the scones. The coffee and beans for purchaser are the icing on the cake. Good mix of blends from mild to robust gives you plenty of choices. We walked to Superior Cafe this morning for coffee & breakfast. We love that we could walk here from our AirBnB! We got here around 9am and were saddened to learn that there were no breakfast pasties so we opted for bagel breakfast sandwiches. They had good egg soufflé -like eggs, the sausage was really thick and the dijonnaise was a good addition. My husband and I had the brewed coffee and it was good. Our sons had hot chocolate and a mocha and they both said their drinks were good. I will also say the girl who was our cashier was super friendly and let my husband sample the nitro brew-which was amazing & we will be back for! The girl who was making our sandwiches was also really friendly. Overall, we had a good experience and will visit again soon! read more

Disappointed. Although the food and drinks are good at this place, the hours are questionable. My daughter and I went there at 5:05 with a closing time of 6:00 and the person at the counter said they start clean up at around five and no longer make or serve any kind of food. We left and went somewhere else as we were hungry. read more

When I used to drink coffee I loved this place. Nitro cold brew hard to find but they have it and super tasty. Only coffee I ever liked to drink. Don't drink coffee anymore but if you do I highly recommend this place. Sit and work on free Wi-Fi as well. Great spot. read more

I'm originally from the Northwest so I would consider myself a bit of a coffee snob. This place passes the test and is my go to coffee shop whenever I'm in the Soo. They've got great tasting espresso and some decent little baked goods. Can't speak for the sandwiches or other food items but the coffee and service is always great. read more

We were passing through the Soo and wanted a warm drink and a bit to eat. We were fortunate to end up at Superior. A welcoming atmosphere right away, with a friendly, helpful staff. We're not coffee drinkers but we got a hot chocolate and a chai, along with a sandwich. Everything was very tasty and we realized what a gem this place is. We travel through the Soo a handful of times every year...and this will be a regular stop. read more
