The quaint town is the perfect way to begin. The boat house for check in was just as charming. The staff and captain offered lovely hospitality. We called last minute for tickets and the woman on the phone was so helpful. The captain was not only knowledgeable but had a wicked sense of humor too. I love that you are assigned a specific table. It was so comfortable and felt like a dinner show. The vessel was clean and in perfect shape. The tour itself offered a beautiful view of the town, new and old homes, a beach and Lake Michigan. We even saw an eagle's nest with cute little babies. I didn't want it to end.

States that they do not open when yellow flags are flying at the beach. 7/19 we were at North Beach from 830 a.m to 3 p.m. Sunday we were there from 9 a.m. till 3:45 p.m and the flag nearest to where we were was green the entire time (near the line of the private beach). If NOAA and city communicated incorrectly, business should have a conversation with them. After we were able to rent paddle boards we did enjoy using them for the full time we rented them.

We booked a morning trip to try the waters on the big pond and could not have been more pleased with the outcome. They were extremely patient and helpful on our trip, which is great considering none of us had ever fished the Lake Michigan before. They were very well organized and had their process down to such a science that we hardly found time to sit back and relax (of course that is because they kept running us across the fish all morning).
