So, of course we can't use the golf cart rental. South Haven is full of tourists, all golf carts are reserved, there is no way this golf cart would not be rented sometime during the weekend. They refused to refund our money, so we're out over 300.00 for three days of cart rental. I have owned a business...I would never treat a customer like that. This just shows you what kind of owners this business has. Go somewhere else where they'll treat your fairly.

These guys are experienced sailors that make you feel comfortable, safe, and at ease. Captain Andy explained how the sailing trip was going to go and what to expect. He also was friendly and answered all the questions we had about sailing! The sailboat is study and clean but not necessarily luxurious. We went on a 2 hour trip and the waves were about 2 feet high and it was around 65 degrees and sunny. I'm glad I brought a sweater and sunglasses- it's always colder on the water than in town. Don't worry about bringing food and drinks on the 2 hour trip- it would be hard to eat with the waves. Tip: bring Dramamine and eat something small and simple beforehand. But don't worry, the guys do have bags in case you get sick

If NOAA and city communicated incorrectly, business should have a conversation with them. After we were able to rent paddle boards we did enjoy using them for the full time we rented them.

Captain Chad is an intelligent guy with a vast knowledge of not only fishing, as would be expected, but his knowledge and love of Lake Michigan and his concern for it's future is very apparent. (The concern is mostly due to British Petroleum and the US governments permission to let BP dump pollutants into the lake.) 1st mate "Shep" is one of the hardest working guys I have seen and his hard work was much appreciated. We had a great time. The charter fee seems pretty comparable to other local charters, maybe a little less. I highly recommend them and will settle for no other charter on my next fishing trip!

Since our fishing guide was fully booked for the remainder of our vacation, we decided to find another way to get out on the water, and we're so glad we did. The sailboat was beautiful, and the experience was relaxing from start to finish. Captain Andy and first mate were very friendly, and we enjoyed chatting with them about South Haven and the local area. It was a great day on the lake. Overcast, but the sun poked through a few times. We even brought a bottle of champagne and orange juice to enjoy mimosas while we sailed. They were so nice to our kids and even let them help put up the sail and explained the different parts of the sailboat. The entire experience was great and a perfect way to spend a morning on the water with our family. We had a lovely time and would highly recommend Fresh Coast Sailing to anyone visiting South Haven! His boat slip is also in a great location, just below the Old Harbor Inn. We walked into town after our sail for lunch
