We waited quite some time and I was starting to get nervous that my 6 year old wouldn't last much longer. I watch as each barber takes their time on each of their clients. There is clear pride in the styles they create and service they provide. I secretly hope my son's barber will be quick. Finally (when I say this, I mean it as a Hot Mess Mom with 2 kids, not an independent adult with a normal attention span), my son gets his turn. As he climbs into the chair the barber asks what I'd like done. I tell him anything that's quick and easy to maintain. Throughout the 30-ish minute hair cut my son wiggled. Played with the sheet cover thing. Asked questions. Itched his face. Played with the cut hair. But he also sat quiet. Saw how other men behave. And most importantly the stylist got wind that there isn't a male figure at home and instantly changed his demeanor towards my son. Postured himself as strong but safe person. A man that showed respect and patients. It was nice to see someone not only take pride in their work but also have great patients and gentleness with my kid. A kid that can be a challenge. That has a hard time sitting for more then 5 minutes. Who's energy is through the roof. Thank you Mr. Barber. We will be back.

Decided to treat myself a little today I made an appointment for a haircut - Mens Fade (Skin/Bald…read moreFade) & Facial / Face Massage. When I got in I checked in for my appointment and was seated immediately. My barber shared his name, buti missed it. I explained what I wanted (bald up to line all around). I appreciated the foil shaver to get it as close to bald as possible. The facial and hot towels were really nice. When I had them on, my barber walked away without saying anything so I assume that was normal. The massage part? He had a hand held massager which was nice, but kinda short. No face massage though which by the name of the service I expected. I tried to look online for any details of exactly what each service covered, but could not find anything. They had two beard trims, one regular, and the other deluxe, but I didn't get it since I couldn't find the difference. I also enjoyed the straight razor line up of the beard and neck. It was very thorough and he did a great job. The price though? As someone who would like to get a haircut monthly, this was too rich for me. It was a nice way to treat myself for sure, but maybe once a year .
