I called Erica, left her a detailed message, and asked her for suggestions. It has been five months, and still no response. I gave her the benefit of being dedicated to her work and professional stature. She received my message without a doubt because I did not show for my appointment. Instead, I called and left a detailed message. She will contact you when you are late; leave a message to reschedule. She will call back before you hang up the phone; email her, and she has her finger on the response and sends button. I visualized her disbelief and gave her time to try and rectify with suggestions; just silence. My daughter, who was equally upset about my face, pointed this out to Erica, and she took offense and displayed a lack of professionalism with name-calling and attacking. Erica has a guarded and defensive personality. It does not surprise me because she does not accept criticism easily. Being a woman of color, I am skeptical about visiting another white esthetician. When you hit a roadblock with the unknown, you try to rectify and not become non-responsive. I had been a client to Erica for one year and became a no-show, which was unusual; she still has not called to find out why after five months. Because she received my disturbing message about the new outcome of my skin with absolutely no rebuttal for assistance, unprofessionally calling my daughter a liar about my phone call and message. I expected more after patronizing you for a year and trying to assist you in "results for people with skin like mine," as you stated. The result of a malfunction with no solution is silence and attack when brought to the light.

The rest is pretty much history. My face finally started seeing improvement. It went through the purging period, but I didn't mind at all since i knew that meant I was finally going to have clear skin in the near future. Now I only really break out when I am on my period and it is only a few pimples that I get rid of with the sulfur mask and spot treatment (and the current pictures are around this time, and I really only have two new pimples that are going away). People in my life have made numerous comments saying how much better my skin looks. She definitely knows what she is talking about when it comes to the science behind skin care considering she previously worked in Cancer research. All of her products have purposeful intentions and I am looking forward to whatever else she puts out so all of my skin care is by her.
