I had my first appointment with Linda yesterday after years and years of threading. I have had terrible waxing experiences in the past that completely turned me off from waxing. My experiences were exclusive to nail salons with inexperienced waxers that either burned my skin or just simply ruined my eyebrows because they lacked the skill and patience to make my brows beautiful. In fact after my appointment, I looked at pics from 2009 and was mortified at my thin nail salon brows lol. Anyway, Linda was kind enough to see me last minute the day before my maternity pics. I was a persistent threader and lost a lot of my brow fullness. Patiently I have been working with different eyebrow specialists to return to a fuller brow. Most of them have made me happy, but today with Linda I learned a lot. She explained each step, and left a good deal of brow so that they can fill in. I've been coming for almost a year now and it was the best decision ever! I've been to all the "top" salons in DE and was not satisfied, so I would travel almost 2 hours back to the salon in Maryland where I had been going before I moved. It was getting expensive and hard to book/keep appointments. I use ABH brow products and saw on the Nordstrom site that they had a brow studio. I gave it a try and I was hooked. The woman who I had first started seeing at the brow studio recently moved up within the brand, so I've been seeing Linda for the past two months. It was an easy transition, everyone is trained the exact same way, and she does my brows the same way. Last August I went to a very popular "brow bar" and was not pleased with the results! I loved coming here for my brows when Devon was here. However my experience with Linda M. has not been pleasant at all! When I first went to her over a year ago I expressed that I wanted a natural look not too colored in because I don't wear make up. By the end of my appointment I was not pleased with my brows and I expressed that to her so she tried to fix it and it didn't help so she end up doing the services free of charge. One year later called because I've heard she has gotten better to make an appointment plus I love the steps they take to give cleaning up your eyebrows. She calls me back after the message that I left and states over the phone she will not do business with me!! She felt that me and my friend was rude and that it would be a bad mix. Since there wasn't another aesthetician there she didn't feel comfortable with serving me. I didn't know I can be decline on service for merely expressing that my $30 eyebrows was not what I stated I wanted. From what I can recall me not my friend was rude! I will be escalating this experience up to corporate. read more
