We have been a customer of Fresh Harvest for a couple if years now and have never been disappointed. I can honestly say it has changed our life because I cook a wider variety if vegetables, when they are in season. Love the concept of supporting local produce - and the stuff is always delicious. One time I got a bruised piece and they gave me a partial refund right away. The only reason I wouldn't give it five stars is because of the online and emailing system. It's really hard for me to figure out how to swap food and customize my basket. My husband and I have been enjoying Fresh Harvest for a number of months after a promotion at my place of employment. Although we don't get it every week, we have had a good experience with the produce and the customer service. Whenever there's been an issue with our delivery or produce, they have been quick to resolve it by the next box. I also enjoy that I can customize my box online. My only criticism is that the produce doesn't seem to last as long as stuff purchased from the store, but that's a function of the sourcing (grocery store food is often treated to stay nice looking for longer). read more

We heard abut them on FB and immediately signed up in particular for the fresh eggs, gluten free selection and the yummy chai and of course the always in season rotating crops straight from the farm. We have been able to try all sorts of new and before now unknown to us fruits and vegetables. I now know that I love persimmons and beets and parsnips - things I would most likely never even see in a traditional grocery store. We look forward to Wednesday's and getting our basket of goodies. We've been getting deliveries from Fresh Harvest for over a year now and it was the best decision! It's affordable, good for the planet, and Fresh Harvest also helps refugee families. We are helping ourselves and also local farmers. We are getting the family box, which is quite enough for four people, and find the food fresh, beautiful, and flavorful. As I am a vegan, I can't say much about the meat, dairy, and eggs, but fruits and vegetables are beautifully presented in a large reusable box with a cold pack, so you don't have to worry about them going bad before you come home. Each week you have a couple of days to determine of available produce what you want to be in your box, plus you can add on other items. They have different size boxes for different situations, such as a mini basket for a two-person family, a Georgia grown basket, completely vegetable, one for juicing, completely fruit, one from Red Earth Farm, a break room basket, and a nano basket that feeds 1-2 people. read more

I highly recommend Fresh Harvest! We are busy so it is great to receive locally grown organic produce right at our own front door once a week. There are great farmers markets around Atlanta, but driving 5, 10 or 15 miles to one would just be adding to traffic, congestion and our own stress. I believe supporting a CSA is one way we help calm ourselves and potential of road rage here. (Sort of exaggerating, sort of not). Like other reviewers, we have received a bad apple or onion on occasion during the last year and a half. The staff has ALWAYS responded, and replaced as needed. My husband grew up eating from his parents' garden so he shrugs when we receive something that isn't cosmetically perfect. I have a routine I read about from the excellent cookbook, EAT REAL FOOD OR ELSE. Each Wednesday when my two baskets arrive, I assemble my stainless steel spinner, cutting board, roll of paper towels, Ziploc bags and Sharpie. Off with a whack I cut the ends and stems. The greens each get two washes in the bowl of the spinner, a good spin, a wrap with enough paper towels to hold them close, and then into the Ziplocs they go. I reuse the bags, and if something new arrives, I can cross out "kale" and write "kohlrabi." You get the picture! I squeeze out as much air as possible before sealing the bags and I have greens that are ready to steam, sauté or roast for days. This one prep chore makes a big difference at the end of every busy day. read more

I have been receiving weekly Fresh Harvest CSA's for over a month now and cannot express how much I have enjoyed this service. One of my primary draws to Fresh Harvest is that they delivered directly to my doorstep and they they use reusable tubs and ice packs that can be traded out on the next delivery. I appreciate that their website is beautifully designed and very user friendly. Even though I customize my box weekly and know what to expect, I still get excited on delivery day like I'm opening up a present. Sometimes they do provide a "freebie" sample so I do in fact get a surprise! I like that I'm supporting local farmers and know where my food comes from. My cooking has also become more creative as I try to use items I wouldn't normally pick up at a grocery store. And if I ever get stuck, FH has recipe ideas on their site and newsletters. I've been receiving Fresh Harvest baskets for a few years now I think. The most awesome aspect of it is that I'm getting quality, organic food that's grown by local Georgia farmers. This is one of the reasons I was looking for a company like Fresh Harvest. It's so important to support our local economy and the food also tastes much better when it's fresh... :) Another quality I was looking for was the option to switch out items in your basket (don't want to waste produce I don't care for) and skip weeks when I need to. I've had the opportunity of volunteering in the Fresh Harvest garden as well. There's nothing like getting your hands dirty and working together as a community towards a colorful, fresh, healthy harvest of foods. We've lost that aspect as a whole in most parts of our country and it makes me sad. I appreciate FH for giving that back to us! The only thing the I would have to say prevents me from getting a basket consistently is the price. I do understand everything that goes into the baskets and the fact that they get delivered is amazing! I know that FH will be always looking for ways to make everything more cost efficient. I've been getting the Fresh Harvest mini box every other week for the last month and a half and I am very impressed. The fruit should be eaten as soon as possible as it won't last as long as the veggies but that it to be expected when you are buying organic. I've started swapping out the fruit for other items since I'm not a huge fruit eater. I love that they offer that type of flexibility! Receiving these deliveries has also upped my cooking came. There are so many wonderful things about Fresh Harvest. First, the produce. It's mostly Georgia-grown, organic fruits and vegetables. The variety is nice, as you get different items depending on what's in season. You get to swap out a couple of the pre-selected items to customize your basket each week. I just received an email from Fresh Harvest letting me know I've now received 20 deliveries from them and I am still a highly satisfied customer. The quality and taste of their products exceeds anything I've ever experienced before for produce. No exaggeration - when I eat their local, organic produce, I realize what fruits and vegetables are supposed to taste like. It's like produce from grocery stores pales in comparison. Every week I get their bananas, apples, and a couple local peach and ginger yogurts and almost every week (depending on needs) I get lettuce, tomatoes, squash, and cucumbers. At least once a month I get locally made sausage that has no preservatives in it. Best sausage I've ever had and in my opinion worth the price compared to store bought sausage. This week I got their kale for the first time because it was about $1 for a bunch and I threw some in a soup last night - delicious! To be completely impartial, there have been times where I have received produce that went bad within a day or so (the strawberries and avocados on multiple occasions) but if you report it to the company, they refund you or make you whole the next week, no questions asked. I simply stopped adding those items to my basket after that since you can customize your basket each week. From time to time, they also give you free samples and have cheap deals on some of their artisan vendors' goods so you can try out some local goods. If you are considering a produce delivery service, I highly recommend you give them a try! read more
