A fun fall date!…read more Southern Belle Farm, located in McDonough, provides hours of wholesome fun and free parking. My wife and I arrived on a warm October day to enjoy the pumpkin patch and U-pick flowers. We arrived in the afternoon, but there was plenty of selection and nothing was "picked over." I paid $16 for a quart sized plastic vase for my U-pick flowers. They sell gallon sized buckets as well. Scissors and water are provided. Be mindful of bees in the field. They won't trouble you if you don't trouble them. There is an area in the back for you to arrange the flowers; I took full advantage of this because this trip doubled as a photo shoot. There were all types of people enjoying the farm; IG girls, families, even one couple using a wagon full of pumpkins as a baby announcement. Pumpkins range from $5-$20 each depending on size and breed. A nice young man named Luke helped us corral our pumpkins and carry them to our car. I didn't know they offered that service, but we tipped well. If you run up an appetite, they have a snack bar with fritters, ice cream, and lemonade. I'll be back next fall!

They were also completely out of all the blood bags, and when the event goes on for an additional 3 hours, it kinda sucks to be out of 3 cocktails before 10. They also ran out of the jello SHOTS in the syringes and you are NOT allowed to keep the novelty shot glasses (just a little misleading on the menu). I think the inside is really great for the decorations and they have both indoor and outdoor space. I think they have a great menu, a full bar along with the in house ciders, but I think their events are the best time to go.

I chose the POG blue hawaiian boozy slushie and it was delicious. Served in a plastic glass, it was not too sweet but packed with a pretty good punch. My friend had the wine slushie and it was tasty and it won for presentation. We had a good time here and I'll need to return when it's perhaps not so busy. They also have Rotisserie chicken I never tried it so I can't tell you how it is. This was my first time seeing it's available at this location. The baked chicken choice is usually bbq or herb which both taste good. Definitely worth the trip pull up and check them out. A lot of other places I go fried chicken is everywhere.
