Minus : I came to this store on Sunday and I have bad impression for the boss or the manager, he literally yelled the employees in front of the customers and drop the F bomb. Is that how you treat your employees now days ?!? I guess the boss or the manager doesn't have values towards the employees !!! shame on you !!! The produce are somehow fresh but not all of them. Most of the produce are lil bit pricey but that's fine with me but please keep them fresh esp. you manage to be organic store. Pricey produce but not fresh , i don't think that's a good idea. i have to returned milk and some of the fridge products. Please fix your fridge. Its cold but not cold enough to keep your milk fresh and other things. The deli food are delish. But since the new guy work on Friday and Saturday, I have to wait 20 minutes for my sandwich. I frequent this deli and I have no problems. Sometimes the wait for a sandwich is longer than others but it is because this place is pretty popular for breakfast and lunch so plan accordingly. The sausage egg and cheese as well as the Just Italian sandwich are my go-to orders. I personally have never had an issue with the staff. Some of the items (not the sandwiches) are a bit on the pricey side but overall a nicely decorated clean food establishment. read more

My husband ordered the 73rd Avenue and always gets it on a hero. Today it was given to us on a roll. The deli guy wanted to argue whether or not my husband said "hero" rather than change it to a hero. Two people at the cash registers said nothing and stared at us like we were crazy. A little overpriced on their pre-packaged and grocery items however, the place is VERY clean and organized - a real gem in Fresh Meadows. Produce is usally very fresh and not too $$. I Was here Saturday morning and witness some unacceptable attitude from this Asian guy that I'm assuming the manager. He pass by the deli and I guess saw the deli guys looking at their phone, and instead of telling them nicely to put it away, he start yelling and cursing them. Well first of all, that is not how you talk to your employee. I know they work for you, you pay them, but you don't own them. You just can't talk to anybody like that specially to people that work for you. They are human too that have a feeling. The bagels are not that filling but they're good and the coffee is fresh and hits the spot. They do have a lot is vegan options and some really good quality products. I love to take a stroll to see what they have. Since the products are higher quality, they are on the pricier end. The staff is ALWAYS very pleasant. This place absolutely sucks!! Save your money or go somewhere else. I've been going to this store since they opened up a few years now. Prices are high on everything. The waiting time on a sandwich is RIDICULOUS. (Any time of the day). If there's a problem with your order it would most likely turn to an arguement. I love their chocolate raspberry coffee. Coffee prices are reasonable. $1.25 for a small cup and $1.75 for a large. They also have a deli counter. Its good of you are in the Fresh Meadows area and can't make it to Constantine's in Bayside. I recommend the pollo loco. They are also open 24 hours which is a nice perk. Their groceries are overpriced. I prefer Best Yet or North Shore Farms. Both of those are in Long Island. read more

They have my favorite low calorie high fiber brownies in the frozen food section, so automatic 4 stars. But, seriously, a very impressive store. I just wish it was bigger. Reminded me of Trader Joe's more than a blanket health food store (a la Queens Health Emporium). They have a lot of gourmet and hard to find items -- prepared foods too (mostly Italian from what I could see) at the fridge section upfront. A full deli with Boars Head products and a more diverse cheese selection. This place is very clean and makes good use of limited space. The cashier was very friendly, too. The guy behind the deli is a jerk and does not always wear his mask especially when he speaks to customers. I asked them if they carry a particular chip because online said they carry it. The young men behind the cashier didn't know and asked the deli guy, the deli guy brushed me off didn't even look at the photo and just said no. I have not had the easiest time finding a very good natural food market in Queens. Oh, I have been to quite a few but they are either too small, not enough variety, bad produce or worse, unreliable. Fresh Meadows Natural is a well organized, clean and quite a big store, for a natural food place. They do stock items that I might not otherwise think goes in a natural food store, but the variety works for me. They have a full deli (with not enough veggie friendly items-but you can ask) some produce, large dairy section and a few rows of items. The service is good, the parking is available and not too far for anyone on the LIE to grab some health food and go home and try to eat well. read more

I like this place because it's open 24 HOURS. I ONLY come here for late night snacks and beer/cider. The snackledge selection is great, so is the raw coconut water, hummus, flowers, chocolate, etc... but the number one thing that I really dislike, is one of the cashiers. UPDATE: The cashier mentioned no longer seems to work here. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt for the sake of this review, but HE CREEPS ME OUT. Their deli is great but I swear, EVERY-SINGLE-TIME I go, the guy who makes the sandwiches is on break and no one is covering him. Tonight the guy who was covering the register is someone who had also made sandwiches for us in the past and had always made them very well. So since there was not a single soul in the whole store, we said, "but you make sandwiches good too," & he just replied, "thank you." I just think that if I am running a business with only 2 workers after a certain time of day, I'm going to make sure that while one of them is on break, the other one is covering. Every single time I go, I have to wait 15-20 minutes just to place an order. So when the cashier goes on break, who's covering him? This is the most horrible sandwich I have ever had in my life. Both me and my boyfriend went in there asking for hot sandwiches with chicken mozzarella and peppers and the only thing "hot" about it was the chicken and everything else was ice cold. Matter-of-fact the chicken wasn't even hot it was a little warm. And on top of that they loaded my sandwich with mayonnaise when I didn't even tell him to put mayonnaise on my sandwich. I live in the area and shop here all the time even though I often feel they are totally over priced. This week I bought expired milk and moldy bread. I only realized it the next day and of course I had already thrown out my receipt. They refused to take anything back without a receipt. Who would try and return milk they bought at another store? I was there today to order a sandwich and I didn't see anyone behind the counter, so after waiting a few minutes I asked the cashier if anyone is working the deli. She says guy should be there soon, but I think he might have always there but he wasn't visible to me. So when I see him, I order my sandwich, and he says 'ten minutes' as he walks away. Is he for real? I told the cashier to tell the guy when he comes back- no need to make my sandwich- this isn't the only place in Fresh Meadows to get food! I think the deli guy was angered that I would dare to ask if anyone was manning the deli counter. (I'm glad to see I'm not the only customer to complain about this rude individual, as I see other complaints).
