It's easy to make appointments by calling or using their online system, but they do also take walk-ins, so you're gonna get a cut no matter how you approach the shop. Floyd's has a hip but family-friendly atmosphere, with rock and pop music playing that keep things lively without overpowering the scene; cashiers like Analiese (sp?) always greet you with a smile and let you know how soon you'll be taken to a chair. I get my hair cut by Jackie, who's chatty and funny, and knows how to get me looking clean and professional -- given the ring of hair around my bald dome, that's the thing that keeps me from looking like Bozo. I always add on the shampoo and scalp massage, because it's a relaxing moment in a busy week, and the shoulder massage (with old fashioned vibrator on the back of the hand) is the perfect way to end the treatment. Prices are very fair, and it's always a good experience. I've been going to Joshua consistently since April and I am so glad to have met him. He is an expert in his craft and really takes his time doing a clean fade and trimming my facial hair. We arrived the day of the appointment a few minutes before our time. There was one guy working there with a customer. He was surprised to see us. He asked if we had an appointment I said yes at 11. With Gio. He said, "Gio isn't here today." I asked, "So what am I going to do about my appointment?" At that point he calls someone. I do t know if it's the owner or the manager or even Gio, but apparently no one else was coming. He said he would help us if we didn't mind waiting a few minutes. I said that was fine.
