I've been going to this barbershop for several months. I'd never had my hair cut by Ms. Consuelo before. If you don't know her, she's the first one in the chair, with short hair. She did a terrible job. I asked for a low fade, and she ended up cutting it too high. If you want a good haircut, I recommend not letting her touch your hair, but otherwise, she's very good; I'm just not happy with what happened. This is an update. I left a very positive review the first time I went to this barber shop; Diego was great. This last time I went, yesterday, was the complete opposite experience. This lady barber didn't understand what I wanted. I asked her for a fade cut. This is a cut that is very ubiquitous and common these days. I asked her for a bald at the bottom and she didn't do that. I asked for a different barber at that point and another barber overheard and stepped in and explained the cut to her. She did better but still didn't do a bald at the bottom. I just let her do the cut and just payed and left. If you are going to have a barber make sure they can understand what the client wants! I probably won't go back. read more

Well, for one the parking situation is horrible, But the fact that they don't use air conditioning all that much is a problem because obviously who wants to be uncomfortable when you're trying to get your haircut and pay good money doing so. But the real problem comes down to the fact that you can't make any type of appointments. We all have places to be, families, work, just life and you want us to wait hours upon hours for maybe someone that we want to actually cut your hair to be free.? So you have to show up and hope that the person that you want to work on u is available and if not, you have to wait sometimes hours so how are you supposed to pretty much plan your day around that. Thats why I'll never go back.! It's an old school mentality way of thinking it's horrible and well it might work for someone who has no life at all, but dammit I'm gonna find somewhere where it's more convenient for a working person and someone who has other things to do than just wish and hope that someone is free or available to cut my hair. If you want to have a good relationship with your barber where you feel like they respect you and your time and the tips you give them even when they don't do a good job, don't come here. No matter how many times you go, or who you are, they only care about one thing and that's themselves more than the customer service. They will speak bad behind your back in Spanish with the other barbers and joke around about other customers in the shop, they will rush your haircut, they will tell you a different price than others and they will flat out tell you they don't want to cut your hair because they want to go home early even though they advertise they close at 7pm, they really close at 6pm. Let me start off by saying, hair grows back and I've always had that philosophy. I moved to the area, and decided to give Manny's a try because it was the closest barber. Location is great, comfortable seats, friendly staff. Was greeted when I got in. We all know when you try to find the right barber for you, it can take a while. Still gave Manny's a chance. Did not appreciate my experience in the end. During my haircut, it was clear that my barber was struggling to cut my hair. I have fairly short hair, and I asked for a taper and a trim on the top. Showed a previous picture of how my hair is normally cut as a reference and hoped for the best (My old barber said to show a pic to help them out in knowing what I wanted). My barber was sweet and kind, but the thing that I did not appreciate was how the other barbers in the location obviously saw that he was struggling to cut my hair, and yet no one spoke up. I'm all for giving people chances, and again, I'm not worrying because hair grows back, but when a customer comes in, and you know that something is going wrong (they saw my facial expression) and even some other customers were giggling, I would hope that someone would speak up and intervene. Again, my barber was kind, and that is why even after paying, I tipped a good amount (he was surprised that I tipped that much) and I put on a smile because my hair was cut and there was no going back. Manny's please be more aware in the future because I did not appreciate the odd looks and small conversations in Spanish (I am fluent in Spanish) about my hair when you saw his facial expression knowing he was struggling to cut my hair. read more

Reasonable prices with friendly staff. But they gave me a very poor haircut that resembles a mushroom. I grew out my hair for 4-5 months. Today stopped by for a trim around ears and neck only. Instead I received a buzz on the sides with long hair on the top. I am going to another barber to fix it, but it will be another several months to grow my hair to that length. Great haircut! Shady business! I came here after I found this place on Yelp. The reviews and pictures say $18 haircuts. Walked in and got seated immediately which was great. While I was getting my cut, I saw the person leaving before ask the barber in Spanish how much for her kid's fade and the lady told her $10. She paid and left a $5 tip which got me even more excited about this place! Then when I was done with my cut I asked Manny for the price and he said $25. I was shocked! They also charged my brother $25 for his cut but while I was waiting for him to finish up, the next person paid $20 after asking for the price in Spanish. The only reason I'm not giving one star is because the haircut was actually decent. On Yelp it says $18 for a haircut. I actually liked my haircut and was about to give them $25 for an $18 cut. But when I went to pay, I was shocked that they charged me $25. What's even worse is that the people in front of me paid $10 and $20 respectively. Price discrimination is illegal for a reason. Consuela is the BEST!!! (first chair) My husband has been coming here for years and has always had a wonderful experience with her. I just chopped off my hair a month ago and needed it cleaned up. Since 2020 they raised the price from $26 to now $32..which is already expensive as it is.the quality of service declined to a point that I rather not get a haircut just go somewhere else because they don't clean the machines which causes me to get pimples and rashes on the back of my head something that I worried about a lot every single time I get a cut here i get rashes and I have to hide them which is embarrassing I like Emily and Adriana but sanitation speaking they don't keep their tools clean I finally stopped going here and I get to keep $37 in my pocket ..Also they don't pay attention to details anymore they suck ..please avoid this place or you will regret spending your money here..I got tired of wasting my money at this place..they want you in and out as soon as possible.. read more

Pricing concern. Beware!!!!!!! Two services done here. Full hair cut for one person. Lady in the back did a fantastic job =$20. Another lady lined up my neck and cheek line for my beard only, nothing else. 10 mins worth of work. The lady who did my sons haircut wasn't sure how much to charge for the neck and cheek bone line so she asked the owner. He said $20. She asked him again in surprise and he said yeah. So I ask him how much for the line up? And again he said yeah she did this and points around my neck and cheek bone. I then go to pay and both me and the lady who did the full hair cut look at each other in surprise. Line up was completely not worth $20. It was maybe 10 mins worth of work. Very disappointed in his behavior and demeanor. I would not return to this place simply based on his shadiness with pricing. This review is long over due. There is literally no where better to get a haircut. Most places now and days I think barbers are confused. They either think they're rappers or they're to good to cut hair. I have been coming here for years now and never have had one bad cut. I've gotten cuts from both Nelson and manny. But all the barbers in the shop give great cuts. Everyone pays a lot of attention to detail and they make sure you're satisfied before leaving the chair. A lot of people ask me where I get my cut at and I refer them all here. Such a great place. For the quality of work they do they could charge 5xs the amount than they do in my opinion. I stopped coming here many years ago. It's convenient location wise and when I first started going I got nice cuts but it went from good to bad after about 4 cuts. I gave them two more chances before I said no more.. I'd rather drive further and get a good cut then come here and cross my fingers. This review is not a reflection on any of the barbers. It is a direct reflection of the owner who is also a barber and occupied the middle seat if the barber chair line. I have never met anyone more rude. When I first began patronizing the barber shop he gave me a hard time about trying to schedule my hair cut ahead of time. I work at a law firm with early and late hours and often weekends and as you can imagine my windows of time to get a hair cut are small. I cut my hair every two weeks because of the work I do. He didn't budge despite my plea, but I left it at that and the barber who I developed a relationship trumped out to be really amazing. I would come in during my lunch and often times need to wait for an hour just to see her. Today, was the worst of it. I walked in and noticed my barber wasn't at her chair. The owner told me she was on lunch. I had no issue patiently waiting for her. I waited outside periodically looking I used for her and hoping I'd see her walking back into the shop to make sure I saved my place in line for her. To my surprise, I look at the chair from the outside and see another person in her chair. I walked in and asked the owner whether anyone came outside to let me know that she was back. I had no idea how I missed her. The owner looked me in the eye and said, "No. We don't go chasing for anyone outside. You need to be here. And you weren't. She was in the back." I was very frustrated. I had spent my lunch hour patiently waiting to only be met with the owner's rude attitude. I never asked for anyone to "chase" me. I was standing outside being patient and all I expected was the curiosity of someone telling me "Sir, the barber is back from her lunch." I guess I expected too much. It's really unfortunate the way he runs the burner shop. He has some talented barbers. I will no longer be a patron of this establishment. read more
