Horrible customer service. Walked in and said "we don't have an appointment; can you fit us in?" Guy nearest the door says sit down and we'll take care of you. Then he finishes his customer, walks to the back, and starts hanging out and talking. At this point we've been sitting there 30 minutes and another barber asks us what's up. We explain and the first barber angrily objects that he's off work now. Other barbers weren't any more helpful. We got tired of being ignored and left. Did a walk in about a week ago and got a cut from Polo. The man took his time and had great communication and advice. I'm in my mid 30's and my hair is starting to thin which can be tough for some barbers to work with but somehow Polo made it work and shaped my hair in a way that gave me look I desired. I got a low fade with some length on top and a side part, a very classic men's haircut, and everyday it just seems to be growing and looking better. This guy has officially become my new barber and will definitely be returning. My biggest issue with barbers is when you ask for a low fade and somehow it ends up being the highest fade you can imagine lol Polo understood my hair type and worked from the top down in order to achieve the style I wanted, from what he communicated to me this was the strategy. One Star - Fab Kutz is a Total Rip-Off with No Skill to Back It Up We had high hopes for Fab Kutz, but it ended up being a complete disappointment. My 14-year-old was excited to get a cut and fade here, and we encouraged him to be independent and handle it on his own. He walked in, asked for the service, and shortly after texted me saying they weren't accepting electronic payments -- no Apple Pay, no card, just cash. I gave him $70 for what was supposed to be a $60 fade. He came back frustrated and disappointed. Not only was the card reader conveniently "not working," but the barber claimed he didn't have any change. So my son was forced to hand over the full $70 for a haircut that looked like barely anything had been done. The fade? Uneven, rushed, and absolutely nothing to write home about. Whether it was due to his age or just shady business practices, my son was clearly taken advantage of. As we say in Brooklyn -- he got ripped off. Please note that this rating only applies to one barber at Fab Kutz. I cannot speak for any other barber there. All I can say is, DO NOT GET A HAIRCUT FROM STEVIE! The most glaringly obvious reason is because Stevie cut me with his straight razor along various sections of my hairline. I'm not talking about my hair. This is literally my skin that was cut. I still have noticeable scars from it 4 days later. (Not very graphic, but I will upload image proof once I figure out how to do that) What's even worse about this ordeal is that he never even told me! I only put the pieces together in hindsight, when I saw the red scar lines after I got home. (It hurt a bit during the process, but I assumed he was just using a bit more pressure than I was used to. I didn't expect cuts!) He was brushing my left temple with his brush an awful lot, and it was only until he came over with an alcohol swab, that I started to worry what was going on. This is absolutely unacceptable to me, and I definitely would NOT recommend anyone go to him for a haircut. (He even handed me his "Professional Barber" business card afterward. Someone should tell him he earns client loyalty not through passing out business cards, but through quality of service) read more

Worst and most painful cut I have ever received. FAB cut my hair, and not only was he more focused on the tv than my actual haircut, his clippers were hot and burning the entire time. He cut me multiple times and pushed my hairline back a whole inch. The "Taper" fade I got was uneven and fuzzy instead of being crisp. Not to mention I distinctly asked to not cut anything off the top because I was growing my hair out and he kept cutting the top with scissors WITHOUT EVEN COMBING MY HAIR OUT SO IT CAN AT LEAST BE EVEN AND NOT CHOPPY. read more
