I walked in and the male nail tech greeted me very nicely, I felt welcome. One of the female nail techs sat me down but she went to the back for what seemed like almost 15 mins of me just sitting there. She was nice but she was SO rough!! The electric file kept burning my fingers and I figured she'd do better after all the flinching I did and I said it burnt a little but she said sorry and still kept going hard. Then with the regular nail file she was filing so hard that it was also hurting my skin and I still kept flinching. I went to wash my hands and I noticed there was actually blood on my pinky, definitely not my red nail dip powder. My nails look fine but I won't go back. read more

Rarely do I go to nail bars since I prefer DIY press-ons, but every now and then I like to get a pedicure. I've been looking for a nice nail shop and believe me, they are hard to come by. There are COUNTLESS nail shops everywhere so obviously it's hard to pick one. Luckily I drove by this place and decided to look it up...they have great reviews and it was a plus that you can book online WITH prices displayed which most nail shops seem to hide prices until you get there. The timing was perfect to try out the Fresh Nail Bar. I had no preference when it came to who I saw. Went in totally blind. My pedi was first. The lady did a great job. She is a perfectionist. Sucks that I did not get her name because I would want her services again. I have fat toes and my nails are shaped weirdly. But she managed to shape them so good. Especially my big toe. Love her. Then I got my manicure. I believe the owner did my mani. Love him. He was awesome. Patient. And very communicative. I decided to do acrylics with Gel. Which is something that I never do. It's always a struggle finding a new nail salon that will cater to your needs- Fresh Nail Bar did a great job doing that! Being only 5 mins away from my apartment, I decided to give them a try yesterday after my regular nail salon cancelled my appointment. The receptionist was extremely nice and accommodated my same day appointment. When I walked in, I noticed the area was very bright, open and laid back.. peaceful. I only waited about 5 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. Some places have you waiting 30-45 minutes, so the short wait time was a plus. Kevin did a great job with my ombré nails- I remember when I called in earlier, that I had requested a tech who was great with shaping: he was it! I had a set already on and he was meticulous with removing them- another plus in my book! Often, they process can hurt if your nails are thin. He was a great listener and my nails came out exactly they way I wanted them and I liked them! I didn't need a pedicure this time but I'll be trying that out next time! The color range wasn't as extensive but it was pretty good and there were plenty of colors to choose from. Why 4 stars? Although everyone had masks on (thank goodness!), the cleaning after each person wasn't a full clean, just a towel change. read more

I made a same day appoint directly on yelp for a fill and fell polish. Upon arrival i was greater and immediately seated. May, the woman who did my nails, was friendly and fast. She also had her own technique for drying thumbs using gel polish. We all know the thumbs never dry! The salon was cutely decorated - lavender seats, white bad, pink walls. And the service was quick since I had natural nails. I did dip powder and he had a million colors. Then I did my pedicure and it was good. Just basics. I haven't gone to a nail salon in what feels like a century, so I decided to treat myself! The staff at Fresh Nail Bar was wonderful! They all worked really hard to make sure I got what I wanted, and their attention to detail made for flawless nails & toes! I got acrylic nails done and the whole process was great until I got the tips done. The place is lovely and my review would've been an easy 5 stars if it wasn't for the color and dust in my nail. I would have loved to given a review on their services but unfortunately, I never made it that far. I stopped in as a walk-in and asked about the availability for a wax, I was told five minutes, figured that was fine, had it been longer I would have skipped it any back another day. I sat down in the waiting area and 15 minutes later one of the employees was speaking to another looked over at me said wax and then they went back to what they were doing and I was still sitting there waiting. After 25 minutes of waiting and not having a single employee come over to me I left. I will not be going back to this location. I understand that salons get busy that that is totally fine! Jimmy did a fill and repair for me , he made sure my nails looked fabulous. He was able to keep the coffin shape I had from a previous technician . They also asked if I wanted anything to drink and Mimi offered me some wine. Even though I didn't have an appointment for a pedicure they made time to fit me in . It was amazing , I felt so pampered and taken care of . I chose the Fresh Pedicure which was done by an older woman ( Grandma) !! She took her time and got EVERY cuticle and piece of dead skin. Nonetheless, I was serviced for a gel manicure first, and Steve was wonderful. I normally do not like my cuticles to be trimmed because I've had bad experiences in the past. But he never once nipped me and gave me the "Fall Foliage" look I wanted. Then the pedicure...Oanh was absolutely amazing. Did I mention she was amazing. I went with my mother, we both got gel pedi and gel manicure. Got charged $70 each. Mine were done correctly while my mother's were not. A DAY after she gets her gel manicure done IT CHIPS !!!!! Like what ??? That should be unacceptable for gel to chip a day after you get it done, unless a step was missed. Came back to get my moms nails fixed and front desk employee stated that maybe a step was missed and that's the reason for chipping. They were only willing to fix the two nails that were chipped but didn't consider if some steps were missed to make the gel manicure last longer, then the other nails would chip again in the upcoming days and she'll have to come back AGAIN to get those fixed ??? UNACCEPTABLE. Waste of my time and theirs. Won't be coming back !!!! read more

Too bad the front desk staff aren't as good as the rest of the place. I have wasted so many hours because of their poor scheduling. The response I get is not: " I'm sorry about the confusion, how can we make this better?". The response I get is : "there's others available or can you come back another day". Guys: when you go to a barber shop do you take whoever is available or do you go there for YOUR barber. It's no different with nails. You go to the person you like, not who is available. And yes, clearly I can come back another day however take into consideration I worked this into my schedule because I am a busy professional and I need to look presentable on Monday. read more

I had high hopes but don't know how this spot has such high ratings. Arrived for my appointment on time as they seem to have a pretty strict policy. Sat in a pedicure chair for 30 minutes before I had to ask an employee who appeared to be available for an update (he later took a client so really unclear as to why he couldn't help me or my mother out for our scheduled appointment?). The techs work was then rushed due to closing - she did an okay job overall. My biggest reason for a 1 star is because I don't understand the purpose behind using Booksy if you're not going to abide by the appointments. Not to mention, if you're going to enforce a $29 no show or cancellation fee out of respect for your business and staff, maybe mutually respect the time of your customers. read more
