But.....there's this NEW PLACE IN SPRINGDALE called DESI FUSION, and they take that rice and add Vutter Chicken, and Chicken Tikka Masala and that rice becomes a little bit of heaven on a plate. Wow, we were very impressed with the taste. And the service was outstanding. Yes, it was the first night tonight and they had a few kinks to work out but very friendly and made sure our food was good and kept our glass full. I guess the only question is, when will we go back? Very soon! Loved it!

Everything was DELICIOUS!! They even gave us a sample size of a new recipe they're trying out. It's basically naan & hummus with lamb in top. It was DELIGHTFUL. Highly recommend. The pizza was exactly what you'd expect, butter chicken on a tasty pizza crust roasted in their oven. The falafel donuts were falafels in a donut shape served with a tahini sauce, very good. The gulab jaman was perfect and had a surprising lemony note that was much appreciated. But, and drumroll please... the star of the show was the garlic naan and hummus. I mean, MAN, it was good. Soft, chewy, garlicky, everything you'd want in naan. I'll definitely be back.

What an absolutely fun and unexpected road-trip discovery…read more Using the iExit app, we spotted The Mothership UFO Burgers and decided to take Exit 11 off Zero Street in Fort Smith. If it had not been for iExit, we never would have known this awesome hidden gem was here. Every interstate traveler ought to have the iExit app. At first, it felt like the mothership had cloaked itself because we drove around for a bit and couldn't find it. Then we discovered the landing zone: Bryce's food truck is parked right in front of the Tacklebox Tackle and Bait building, just about 3/10 of a mile off Exit 11 on I-540 / US-71. Honestly, Zero Street is the perfect location name for the Mothership, which has just returned home. Bryce, the owner, told us he came out of the IT profession and has been building this business for the last couple of years, and it shows. The whole alien theme is fantastic, right down to the little black pager that lets the aliens signal when your food is ready. I ordered the Apollo Burger, swapping the American cheese for provolone, and it was outstanding. The UFO-shaped bun is such a creative touch and fits the whole mothership theme perfectly. The burger was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully put together. The garlic fries absolutely lived up to the hype too. Bryce mentioned they are popular throughout the area, and after trying them, it is easy to understand why. If you're in the Fort Smith area or traveling down I-540 / US-71, this is a must-stop venue. 3001 S Zero St Fort Smith, AR 72901

We visited BluPoint tonight and enjoyed the friendliness of the team and the ambiance of the…read morerestaurant was wonderful. It is well lit, relaxed and upscale - all at the same time. The furnishings, decor and spaces are well designed to be modern, contemporary and (comfortably) trendy. The food was high quality. We enjoyed Oysters Rockefeller and Pull Apart Crab Rangoon as appetizers. For our main course, we shared a cut of 16 oz Bison paired alongside a Wedge Salad with thinly sliced green apple that complimented the superb homemade blue cheese dressing. We also had Brussels sprout and asparagus. Our kids shared a fish n chips with Mac n cheese as the "chips!" We drank water with our meal. The drink menu was plentiful for those who enjoy alcohol - it was quite expansive and seemed to have something for every taste from wines and beers and cocktails/specialty drinks. We don't drink alcohol, so we cannot speak with the voice of having tried any of the adult beverages. The dessert menu looked nice, though we didn't save room at this meal to enjoy - we will save that for another time. The pricing was a bit more than one would normally spend in the River Valley - though the ambiance, food quality, menu selections and wow factor were all certainly outstanding and in a class apart from most any other restaurant in this area. By comparison - I would say BluPoint would compare to Oak or Ruth's Chris (both in Rogers, Arkansas and both specializing in steaks). Other comparables in quality and enjoyment factor would be Doe's Eat Place in Fort Smith and the location in Fayetteville (also steak houses). Finally - just a little below those mentioned above (in my view), I would say 21 West End and Stone House at Chaffee Crossing, both in Fort Smith would be comparable to BluPoint. Of course, the menu selections will vary from the places I've mentioned as comparable - BluPoint had two solid options for high quality meat (filet and bison), as well as several seafood options - which makes sense given their specialty. We met the chef and he was friendly and pleasant. His creations (that we tried) were very enjoyable. We paid $270, including a 20% tip for the selections described above - so definitely don't forget the wallet or you'll be washing a lot of dishes!
