Red Lobster has a bad habit of being pretty good to so-so/miss. Today's particular visit, at this specific location was one that aired on the side of a good'n. Tuesday's was 1lb Snow Crab Cluster with a choice of side for $24.99. It was delicious! The portion was way more than I expected. I chose hush puppies as my side, and they were super toasty. Crunchy and light with a slight density that wasn't greasy. Other items ordered were a baked potato, shrimp scampi, shrimp cocktail, coconut shrimp, asparagus, and Cheddar Bay biscuits. They allot 2 biscuits per person I'd recommend here if you're in the mood for some shrimp and their biscuits for sure. But also, don't forget about the other yummy menu items. read more

My husband and I have not been to this red lobster in years. We decided to give them another shot, had the same bad experience. Waited FOREVER on our food yet there was no wait times and there was no line. Restaurant was not real crowded. The restaurant was dark and gloomy. Very little light. Almost need a flashlight to see ur food. Very outdated decor. The waitress was friendly and she did check on us a few times but we did notice that she was telling every single person that came in that they had to wait on the bread including ourselves when we first got there. I would not return based on this experience. The shrimp linguine and shrimp scampi were very bland and lacked both salt and garlic flavor. The salads were also disappointing, especially since one contained a large amount of brown, watery lettuce. Unfortunately, the service was not much better. Our appetizer salads did not arrive until after our meals were served, and the servers were not very attentive throughout our visit. Overall, the experience was underwhelming, I hope the restaurant takes this feedback into consideration and makes some improvements. read more

I would recommend shrimp from the sonic before I'd recommend Red Lobster. Absolutely horrible. The service wasn't anything to talk about either the server apologized for the wait and blamed his COPD. I always get a fantastic meal at Red Lobster at lunchtime in Fort Smith. Today was exceptional (probably the first meal served of the day)! I got one of the new specials that had salmon, lobster, & a skewer of grilled shrimp on a bed of buttered rice with a side. Salad with bleu cheese, & biscuits. $28 The salmon was cooked to perfection & very tasty. Just melts in your mouth. I order salmon there all the time & it is always delish. The salad was top notch. On a rare occasion, I will get a below average salad but not today! Perfect lunch. I'm voting this best meal of the year for me!!! Love Red Lobster especially at lunch. read more

The current 2.5 star review is too kind. I was so flustered after leaving the place last night I had to wait until this morning to make sure I could keep my thoughts straight and not overreact. Still, it's gonna be a daunting task as I tell you about the worst dining experience I've ever had in grand ole Fort Smith. From the top; this used to be a favorite place to visit for my wife and I, but we haven't been in years. Just to be clear. We're not the sort of country bumpkin, redneck, hillbillies that consider this place the epitome of fine dining, but it is a little pricier than what we would spend on a typical night out grocery shopping. We had two of our kids with us and my daughter thinks shrimp is the best thing since mana fell from the heavens, so we let her pick and this is where we ended up. First mistake, letting her pick. We arrive at 7:05 and the lot doesn't look especially full but there are people standing outside. I go in to ask about a wait time and get told it will only be around 20 minutes, not that bad considering it's Fort Smith on a Saturday night. Well, by the time the 35th minute passed we had been told by a few diners exiting that "there are so many empty tables! I don't know why anybody is out here waiting!", but by then we were starving and didn't want to start over anywhere else. Went in to check how much longer we'd have to wait and the sassy hostess told me there were still four people in front of me. I was about to lose it. Halfway through out waiting time a party of three arrived and had been seated ten minutes prior to when we finally got a seat. I followed to see what spot could possible accommodate three people and not four and guess what, they got a booth. Fuming mad at this point. Face is red and blood pressure is up. My wife asked me to keep calm and not say anything so I did. Finally, after I don't know how long we waited, we get a booth (the same size as the one that held a party of three ten minutes earlier) and are presented with two menus. When are server arrived we ordered our drinks and requested two kids' menus (not that big of a deal but anything helps to occupy hangry kids). When she finally arrived with the drinks there were no menus. Again, no big deal. Wife walked up front and got them herself. Okay. I had to take a break. I was getting heated again. Let's cut to the chase. I ordered the Lobster-Topped Stuffed Salmon with a lobster topped baked potato. Both kids ordered the popcorn shrimp meal from the kids' menu and my wife ordered the Shrimp Trio. We requested the mozzarella sticks and the stuffed mushrooms for appetizers. Also with mentioning, we had to ask for the biscuits to be delivered to our table, twice. Long story short, after an hour of waiting I went out to the car to have a smoke. The trio that arrived after us and seated ten minutes before we were? They were leaving, rubbing their bellies in overstuffed delight. I was getting more and more angry. Went back in and waited another ten minutes for our subpar food. My "stuffed" salmon was a small fillet laid over some knockoff seafood stuffing. The lobster-topped potato was anything but and cooked to a miserable al-dentè imperfection with enough salt on the skin to make me consider it had been cured instead of baked. The kids had about 15 popcorn shrimp with NO sides, and the wife's trio looked like it had came out of a microwave 20 minutes before arriving at our table. It's all I can do not to cuss right now. We had to repeatedly ask for refills, the dirty dishes never got taken away, it was damn near too crowded to eat. We won't be back. Not until the entire staff has retired, voluntarily or forcibly. Hell, we couldn't even get a ticket to leave! My wife said it best "Just hurry up and eat so we can get the hell out of here!" We did and after waiting what seemed like an eternity for the bill to arrive we took it upon ourselves to walk up front and pay. And get this, took another ten minutes just to do that! We arrived at 7:05 and when we pulled out of the parking lot it was ten till nine. The absolute worse customer service, horrible waitressing, good awful food, half prepared orders, 85% empty dining area with and unbelievably ridiculous wait time. Like the patrons who warned us while we waited, I recommended several people walking just turn around and find somewhere else. None of them did, so expect the warm, glowing reviews like this one to come pouring in. Honestly, if this is a typical night at the nation's most well known "genuine east coast" dining establishment I don't know how they're still open. Also, if you're a manager reading this, do better. If you're the owner, I'd consider bricking in the doors and windows and hanging a "permanently closed" sign on the door. The atmosphere is beautiful!!! The server was super sweet. Manager was quick to have my son's chicken strips remade after hair was stuck in the batter. Our fish and chips was half the amount normally given and with inflation umm ok. But the fish was over cooked and rubbery and grease logged. Be sure to bring your own hand soap Women's bathroom is out. I think next time we will definitely be waiting in line at Texas Roadhouse. Super disappointed read more

We recently ate Sunday lunch at the Fayetteville, AR, Red Lobster location. The food was good, when we finally received it. It came in parts and several requests had to be made more than once and to someone other than our assigned server. They weren't busy and our server passed our table numerous times without ever glancing at our glasses or asking if we needed anything. I suppose our first clue should have been when we approached our table and saw an elderly lady fall to the floor. Not one employee went to her aid. My brother helped her to her feet and walked her and her companion to the car. No one asked her name or if she wanted to fill out an accident report. She was at least 80. Our server wasn't inexperienced. We have seen her before. The level of service was inexcusable. Everyone makes mistakes, but we counted 6-8 things that were wrong with our order for two people. read more

So I went to this business last Friday evening..... had the ultimate feast first off I understand that our waitress was training a new lady but when I had to ask her to bring us biscuits and all she finally brought us was three biscuits they tasted like they were old ok no big deal we ate then went home the next day about 10:00am started to fill nauseated than about a hour later had projectile vomiting and diarrhea has lasted about 3 days so if you go just be careful read more

This seafood isnt too shabby. I really like the buscuits and salad they serve before hand. They are fresh and its nice to have every once and awhile. Good starter for a nice meal at Red Lobster. The service is most often by a nice waitress and you get seated promptly. Usually if I go out to eat with somebody or want to have a nice brunch, Red Lobster is where I will go. I am happy with them :) Decor is nice and bathrooms are clean. They have a full bar and nice looking dessert menu as well. This would pass as a nice restaraunt for a date or anniversary! If you come on a nice night, they have outdoor seating. Even though they do have TVs they arent overbearingly loud. Try them out! read more

If I could rate this place a 100/5 I would! I had never been to red lobster and I went with my friend today, and there is no words to describe how good it was. The service was impeccable! Unfortunately I don't remember the servers name but he made us feel very welcome and came to our table frequently to make sure we were enjoying our meal. He even warned us the cooking time and told us to order our seconds earlier so we would get our food faster, and brought us fresh biscuits. Overall I loved it! I would definitely go there again and I definitely recommend! (Don't mind the only 2 biscuits, it's was really good!) read more

This is the absolute worst Red Lobster we've ever been to. We will never go back here again. Over priced everything and didn't even get what we asked for. We paid way too much money for some nasty overcooked food... complete and utter disappointment. If you ever come to Ft Smith, don't come to the Red Lobster here... it's awful. My mother, who is less than a month out of back surgery, and I went to eat today. She is not able to eat large portions and asked for a children's menu. The host proceeded to ask if either of us had had weight loss surgery. When we said no, he spoke with someone and came back with a children's menu. He tossed it at my mother and, when she explained her reason for asking, said "Well you can look at it, but the manager won't let you order from it." She asked how they would know and he replied "Well they just saw me go get it." The issue we had was NOT that she couldn't order from the children's menu, it was how it was handled and the rudeness. After calling and confirming a reservation for 6 (and taking my name and number), we were informed upon arrival that they didn't take reservations. We had to wait 45 minutes to be seated and would have gone somewhere else but knew we would wait just as long without a reservation at another location on a holiday weekend. Wish they would have just told me on the phone and we could have arrived early or reserved a table somewhere else. Came to the restaurant Christmas eve, was sat and only when we went to order was informed they were out of crab legs, not good since three people in our party wanted crab. 5:30pm we left... Tonight New Year's eve, their fryers were inoperable, no Ultimate Feast for me. When were greeted by the host I asked for a booth, he walked us to a half booth. I said could we have the open booth next to the half booth and he stated "but this is half booth" He conceded and we sat at the booth. Our waitress was very pleasant once she informed us that the fryers were broke. The table behind us wasn't as fortunate. As we were leaving their waiter informed them no fries for their child's meal offering rice pilaf or Brussel sprouts instead, then a few minutes later returned and said sorry but no popcorn shrimp because that's fried too. The father very agitated said cancel the meal. I hope management gets things under control because there are very limited seafood options in Fort Smith. read more

This Red Lobster is usually one of the best in that chain. We have had takeout during a relative's long Hospital stay nearby. The coconut shrimp is always good or great depending on how warm they are when served. Fried flounder is a staple in the consistency category. Wood fired fresh fish is always good, unless thinner fish are overdone. The portion sizes have shrunk considerably over recent years, as customary in most restaurants with food price hikes. Seniors were able to split an order a few years ago, but potatoes are half the size and salads much smaller. Dinner Prices are on the higher side now, but lunches are reasonable. The new absence of a salad is predictable yet SAD. NOW,it is only included as one of your two sides. The entree sizes seem reduced as well. The food was average to good. The coconut shrimp was overcooked yet the Walt's shrimp was fine. The baked potatoes were merely warm. The cheddar biscuits were as we remembered and good. Yet, we had to cajole the server to bring them prior to the entrees. Speaking of the server... it was late. Yes, late in the shift so it was not busy. He had to get our drink order twice... 2 waters. Those took quite a while to arrive. He did come check on us once. However, I expect my beverage to be refilled without a prompt. No such luck. Additionally, when dis servers STOP removing the plates after the entree is complete??? I mean he's standing there asking about a desert. When I ordered my birthday desert he wheeled about and left the plates. Only when he arrived and we HANDED the plates to him did he stoop to remove them. I haven't been to a Red Lobster in about four years, and after eating here recently, I remembered why i haven't returned. The food quality just doesn't match up the the prices they charge. We ordered a bunch of shrimp dishes and they were so small. They were definitely not fresh. The side dishes were on the salty side. The one dish i did enjoy was their cheese biscuits. Yum yum! Wife and I recently visited for our anniversary. We don't get to do this often since we have 4 kids and a very fixed budget, so on the rare occasion we do go out, we really count on having a great evening. Red Lobster delivered in every aspect. Our waitress was prompt and courteous and wished us a happy anniversary. I ordered the pick 3 with 2 walts shrimp and 1 scampi. Wife ordered the same with steak and coconut shrimp. Food was served hot and tasted great. Wife's steak was cooked perfectly. My shrimp was amazing. Waitress never let our drinks even come close to empty, and kept the cheesy garlic bread coming. The greeting when we entered was 5 stars, our waitress was very attentive & friendly. The food was unfortunately very disappointing. My mom does not like seafood so she ordered the hamburger, which was burnt & inedible. I wasn't very hungry so ordered lobster bisque & a side salad. The bisque was so rich that it too was inedible. My father took a taste of the soup & made the same awful face that I did. We returned the hamburger but I couldn't return the soup too. Dad order the fried shrimp & everything was fine w/that. The biscuits they serve were great as usual and the stuffed mushrooms were good. We most likely will not return. Manager was very friendly and took the hamburger off our bill. Terrible. Disappointing. Tragic, even. The best part about this visit was the nice waitress, even though she was preoccupied with sidework. We came in an hour and a half before closing, but we should have known by the deserted parking lot what we were walking into. We were one of two tables. The restaurant was too dark, for my taste. Oh, and the taste. That's what was tragic. I ordered the Steak and Shrimp, described as a 7 Oz sirloin (Medium Rare, please) and Jumbo Shrimp. The steak, although flavorful, was so tough and chewy I could hardly get down three small bites. It's not a steakhouse, so I can accept that. The "Jumbo Shrimp" came out as 6 medium size shrimp on a wooden skewer. Not what I expected, but looks like it could be good. Except there was no flavor. Zero. Didn't even taste like shrimp, much less seasoning or butter. To top it off, I'm pretty sure they were cooked in the microwave, considering the rubbery texture. I just can't. Even. I've waited 30 years to visit Red Lobster, and I will wait twice that long before I go again. read more

We took our 3 daughters to the Fort Smith, AR location for the first time on December 18, 2020. It was a terrible experience from the beginning. I truly believe that they have an issue with incompetent management because every facet of our experience was terrible. Poor service, poor food, poor value for the money. We ordered for pickup yesterday. So excited because we haven't had fish in a long time. We ordered fried white fish, broiled white fish, rice, broccoli, caesar salad, shrimp alfredo, cheese sticks, and chicken fingers. Everything tasted like it just came out of the microwave. It was half cold and warm. Didn't have much flavor. You would think that it would be fresh and got because they told us it wasn't ready yet. We waited for 29 minutes and finally got our food.
