They have regionals seasonings, like old bay seasoning. They have hot sauce, BBQ sauce and rubs! I'm salivating just thinking of the multitude of delectable dishes I devoured thanks to these fine folks. I promise that no matter the year, you will leave with more than you expect. Word to the wise.... If they have a case, an unopened one, they charge less than if you bought them individually. Last thing..... They aren't cheap. This place isn't for the budget conscious, if you're on a budget bring a friend, someone that will slap those double stuf Oreo cookies out of your hand. Because they'll get you every time. Oh and the staff, they won't initiate conversation with you. They are busy always busy. But get there attention and they are warm, inviting & will just about bend over backwards to help you. You just have to ask.

During those 12 years one of the owners frequently went to America to buy the stock. And for many years they got special orders for me. But ever since the pandemic they have lost the plot. They refused to accept special orders and their shelves rarely offer me what I want. I have repeatedly asked them to figure out a new method of getting their supplies which they refuse to do. How they stay in business is a mystery without desirable stuff to buy. They're old and no longer seem to give a damn. I find it remarkable that they stay in business. Not worth the trip.

What I really like about this Pak in Save in particular is the parking, it has great parking at…read moreground level but also has an awesome covered carpark. The covered carpark just makes it that much easier when you need to shop during the winter months when we all know how windy and rainy and just horrible Auckland weather can be. But this Pak n Save is great as it has a lovely covered carpark. The supermarket itself is actually also pretty new and therefore has a really good layout, wide aisles and lots of check out lanes so makes for stress free supermarket shopping apart from the packing at the end, but the prices are worth it.

This used to be my favourite supermarket but lately it has gone a bit downhill. Their meat - I…read moredon't know how they store it but with these new recycling packs the meat smells horrible after a day in the fridge if kept in those recycling packs and we have a very good fridge. Their Fresh Fruit and Vegetables is not really that nice they don't have the best looking produce and quite often ill buy their onions and the middle of them are rotten and green possibly because they use the sacks of onions and just tip them into their bin. They have changed the layout again and to be honest its so difficult to find things at the moment but the extra space is nice, their variety section seems to have disappeared which is a shame as there was good stuff in there. Their product range is limited these days and I find myself doing my main shop here but my meat and veges and other products shopping at Countdown or New World. They have baskets now which is great but I'm forever having to go to the checkout aisle to get a basket as they don't bring them back as often. And the self Checkouts are great but quite often the machines need assistance from the staff - who more often then not are busy gossiping about their lives and not paying to much attention to what is going on and missing the trolleys full of more than 20 items at the self checkouts. I will continue to shop here but I hope it gets better again like it used to.

I left this Asian shop with a bag of tomatoes and two decent sized and healthy looking eggplant for only $3.00. We arrived just as it was opening, so unfortunately trays of fruit were still being brought out into the store and I was not able to take full advantage of the bargains. Having said that, not everything was cheaper than usual, just a few things like the eggplant. Avocados were still $2. Aside from fruit and vegetables, there was a wide variety of Asian noodle, spices, drinks, herring, and other ethnic foods not normally found in supermarkets. Additionally there were your normal fresh up juices etc in the fridge. Great shop when you just need to pick up a few fresh items.

The prices are a little…read morehigh and there is a very limited amount of organic goods at this branch but the meat selection is definitely better than Eastridge. There is ample car parking at the front, flowers and a tiny BNZ kiosk at the entrance.

Love this New World, they have great variety of everything and their veges and fruit are of good…read morequality for a supermarket, a little bit on the pricey side but it is worth it. Their packaged meat is also nice I always go here for my meat now and its reasonably priced, I also like their dinner boxes but sometimes you go in and theres like 1 or 2 on a Monday evening etc so they must be popular but sometimes the ingredients in it are not very nice ( eg one I had had a fancy lettuce where most of it was brown) so I had to make do without that ingredient but otherwise I love it. Their fish is fresh and nice I used to go to the fish market in the CBD to get nice fish now I just go here. The self checkouts though are really touchy most times I use these its almost every single item that needs to be checked as the weight doesn't match but other than that great supermarket.

At the Mad Butcher they always have great weekly specials, so it's always good to hop onto their website and check out their great deals for the week. The other night my flat bought 1kg of pork belly for only $12!! Amazing, and man did it taste good! They also had all the additional extras for sale too, this included gravy packets and apple sauce! We left there set and ready to cook a roast! Located behind the Mobile gas station, by the McDonalds and KFC is where the Glen Innes Mad Butcher can be found. There is plenty of onsite parking available at this location, however if it is busy there is also street parking available on Line Road.

In terms of new innovations, there's little that's obvious: A conveyor belt option on the self checkout and noticeably fewer checkouts than you'd expect for the size of the store. The staff always make an effort to make small talk. I think it's probably a "new store" excitement thing. We'll see! Cons: the rather unfriendly signs out front banishing all dogs. People can leave dogs in cars in winter... But what about summer? And what about walkers with dogs? A better approach would be three short chains with clips attached to the building spaced 1.5m apart, so that people can safely tie up their dogs. Bonus points for shade, water bowls and a "welcome dogs" sign!

Supermarket was very quiet and I had to wait 10-15 mins while 3 staff watched me wait at the one open counter. Two customers were here expecting some service and let out sighs when they realised they had to use self checkout or wait behind me and someone else. The checkout lady was alone (no nagger) despite heaps of staff running around. Selection is average, displays are nice, prices are varied, some more expensive and a couple of cheap deals. Meh.
