He recently merged with another food service partner to become Chefit, and I have already had two major food/health safety issues in my first order. 1. I have a moderate shellfish allergy and clearly disclosed it when I started the service. After taking a few bites of my meal today, my tongue started tingling and swelling. I dug around and found a whole, large, tail-on piece of shrimp under the noodles. I had to leave work early to go home to take medicine and tend to my physical needs. 2. I leave an ice chest with ice packs out for the delivery person to put the weekly meals in, but whoever delivered it left the lid open several inches and I had to throw out the top meal because it had warmed up to outdoor temperature after being exposed for a few hours. I messaged Chef Matt about these issues. He did apologize, but instead of rectifying the situation, he said I should find a different meal service. I told him I was disappointed with his response especially since I'd been a loyal weekly customer for so many years, and then I cancelled all future orders. I appreciate the apology, but this wasn't a simple mixup- these are two major food safety/health infractions, and the only solution I was given was being told to leave.

I love their deli, my only challenge is my Spanish is a bit messy and I search for words. So it's amazing how sweet and helpful their customers are... I always get help from someone! My Auntie Sue needed some tonic water to prevent leg cramps, so we visited La Bonita Supermarket - because it was across the parking lot from where we were having breakfast. Very convenient! We don't have Mexican grocery stores in Honolulu. That's why our adventure in La Bonita Supermarket was an educational experience! It was very neat, clean, and spacious! My auntie asked an employee about tonic water and they were polite in answering that they had none. Oh, well, it was fun to see the piñatas, spices, different beverages, and food departments!
