Got some hummus and pita bread here, tahini and some Turkish Delight, a ton of items were marked vegan so easy to navigate. The store is organized and has a nice flow to it. Everyone I encountered was friendly. I had planned to take food to go but decided to eat there. The employee who took my order was nice and helpful. He answered my questions as I decided what to get. He suggested I get the Mixed Grill Plate, which I did. You have a choice of 2 skewers of their meats over rice, salad and hummus. The meal was delicious and it's a big portion, I took half home. The meats were so flavorful and the grilled tomatoes went well with it. I love hummus and theirs is so good. I initially came in to get their Dubai chocolate bar, but also got some snacks and drinks for my little one. The inside is really spacious and there's typically a lot of parking in the area. The cashiers and the manager (or store owner as she appeared to be?) are really nice. They have helped us look for some items around the store. The Mediterranean grocery items are good to make your own dish at home or to get some snacks. As for their Dubai chocolate, it is really good! Back then when their Dubai chocolates weren't always selling out their chocolate bars were only $19/bar. Those bars were packed with the filling and the chocolate used to be thick to the point where I couldn't even finish one. However, since word has gone around and they've been selling out, it is now bumped up to $22/bar with their bar being smaller. Now I could eat a bar in one sitting, but it's because the bars are smaller. I wish they kept their prices and size of the OG bar the same! read more

Their in-store restaurant is amazing, but do not order from Sunrise's website. I placed an online order and went into the restaurant. Apparently, the restaurant is under new ownership and has its own name. They had no record of my purchase. The employee told me to contact Clover. After an hour of trying to defeat Clover's AI, I was able to speak to someone. They do not handle customer disputes. They only offer support to the merchants for register issues. I was told I had to dispute the charge with my bank. But it's a pending charge so I can't dispute it and just have to wait 30 days to get my money back. TLDR: Make sure you're ordering from Al Barsha and not Sunrise or you'll be in for a real hassle. read more

Came in for the baklavaaaaa! Been eyeing this place since they were renovating, this is only a 5 to 10-minute walk from my area lol I see it all the time and was very curious. A couple of shelves were not as well stocked given that they recently opened. The grocery area and dining area were very spacious and tidy. Grocery: They have a variety of common Mediterranean dish essentials obviously, such as olives, pasta, bread, herbs and spices. They also have hookahs available. Good selection of pastries and fresh bread. Dining: Menu seemed limited. I just got an order of fries, baklava and Mediterranean coffee. Service: All staff were friendly and smile a lot. This market has a small food court/deli with shawarma, falafel, chicken kabobs, kafta, Mediterranean salads, tabouleh, hummus, baba ghanouj, kibbeh and lots of different types of pita breads. The guys at the grill area are real nice, and offered my mom a little oiece of Za'atar bread to try, because we were unfamiliar with the flavor. We ended up buying a really good Spinach Pie, which they heated up on the grill for us, to give it a just baked flavor. We also got baklava and meditteranean coffee, which was heated and served in a really cool metal container. We only ordered one coffee, but the guy behind the counter was super nice and gave us a metal tray with two small fancy coffee cups and ornate saucers so we could both drink coffee and eat baklava. This is such a great hidden gem in the Henderson area. They have the best mediterranean groceries some of my favorite being the Lebne and the pita bread that is made In- house. I also tried their restaurant while I was out shopping and was so surprised by the food they had to offer. Everything tasted so fresh and I definitely want to come back to try more. Very impressed with this market. I have been looking for a place to buy basic Arab and Mediterranean ingredients that are not commonly found in traditional grocery stores. When I can't find these items I am usually forced to order off of Amazon but that requires planning and a bit of praying the jarred items do not arrive damaged. My recent order, off Amazon, resulted in my Orange blossom water being damaged making it unusable. Also, Amazon is great at times but doesn't solve to fresh ingredients and good quality pita breads. I am obsessed with Lebneh, which is often hard to find and/or is not the right quality and consistency - At Sunrise Market I was able to find a plethora of Lebneh choices - more than I have ever seen. In addition they had ALL the ingredients I needed including Preserved Lemons. I was also able to find and replace my Orange Blossom water - which made me quite happy as I was making Couscous T'faya and Chicken Tajin with preserved lemons. They have an amazing selection of pitas and breads. I highly recommend this place! This place is a gem, clean and super friendly. I also found that the prices are extremely reasonable - not overly priced like Amazon and other stores. The employees were very kind and welcoming. I was introduced to the owner - who was amazing - and invited me back for lunch - which I am going to take him up on! I'm looking forward to continuing shopping here and stepping up my Arab/Mediterranean cooking skills, as I am self taught. read more

Firstly, I am going to go with we were there on an "off" day before I proceed with my review of the restaurant. We ordered a beef and a chicken shawarma plate. For the price I was a little surprised at the small serving. We both substituted rice for the fries. Rice was tasty but unremarkable. The beef was flavorful but was so thinly shaved it was basically shredded. The chicken was fine, again nothing special. It also came with a little salad . On one of the plates there was sliced pickles that were nice but missing from the other plate. The garlic sauce was good. It also came with tahini that had a slight sour taste that we did not enjoy. We did not care for the hummus maybe because of the tahini in it. Included were two pitas that were fluffy but not warm or particularly fresh. Although I would not return to the restaurant there were lots of interesting items to purchase from the store which was bright and clean. read more
