Inside is nice and clean and service is good. Staff is well aware of what items are by default vegan, some that can be made and some that have dairy ghee already. We ordered Idli Manchurian - which is a South Indian Chinese fusion dish. Fried Idlis in Manchurian sauce (dry). Good spice and flavour to the sauce and Idlis were freshly fried and still hot and crispy. The South Indian Thaali can be customized a bit, more/less rice or Chappati more/less. The curries are chefs choice and many of curries are made with dairy ghee. So one vegan options but not all. All good family enjoyed them. The Tiffin Thalli is also good, comes with Idli, Medu Wada, mini dosa, chutney, sambhar. Mostly vegan. Good options for vegan. There are more vegan options that we would like to try. This is an establishment locally owned by the sweetest couple. This is a counter service cafe. They have a variety of cakes, coffee, sandwiches and gelato. I ordered their bulgogi bibimbap and ube latte (sweet potato. I think they called it something else). The bibimbap was full of fresh vegetables and seasoned beef. This was quite a good portion size served in a large bowl - not stone bowl unfortunately. The latte was slightly sweet and very creamy. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the cafe. A must visit!

If you want to try something new or if you want to stick by your old favourites, there's something for everyone. The first time I was here, I decided to try something new. I had the seitan platter which was the perfect introduction. The seitan was cooked in four different styles so it was great to see which type you like. The second time, I just had a seitan appetizer which looked like a good imitation of roasted duck but it had a smooth texture and it was flavoured well. Keep in mind that the portions after the appetizers are big. You can either share it or have some to yourself but regardless, there is a chance you might take some home. No complaints though. Both times I have ordered fried rice with different toppings that are mixed in with the rice. I love the way they make this because they don't cook it like other restaurants where they fry the rice and you feel bloated and heavy. Zen' drive is cooked perfectly so you don't taste that fried feeling and though you will get that filled feeling, you won't feel lethargic after. I also order tea both times. My recommendation is the rose tea. The teapot is so small and cute but you can smell the tea and it leaves you feeling relaxed. Side tidbit: the place is a legit house but they converted it into a restaurant. They kept some of the features like a fireplace that give it a cozy/homey feel. It was still early and the order was not ready and was ready in a few minutes after. The tray full of straight out the fryer Wadas and freshly tempered dhoklas. Surprisingly the dhoklas were vegan (made without yogurt or buttermilk) Couldn't resist picking up one Wada and splitting into quarters for us to taste them in the car right there. The Wadas hit and perfectly spiced for an Indian taste buds. The outer chickpea flour cover with spiced potatoes inside. The spice also a hint of sweetness that speaks to the Gujarati style of spicing thing you. The dhoklas when tasted at home were spicy even for an Indian taste buds and the tempering had too much oil (way too much). Normally the dhoklas are not spicy at all, but I think the chillis in the tempering were spicy and the dhoklas turned out way too spicy for many in the family (except me, of course). But the over greasiness killed the experience for me. Most of the pieces dripped in oil.
