There are set sauces for the bowl including a gojuchang one and a ginger sesame. I asked for them to hold the spicy sauce and they were able to oblige. The bowl was a mix of salad and brown rice but more leafy. The kimchi topping was more vinegary than spicy. I still found that there was something in the bowl that had a little kick to it. It was tasty and definitely towards the healthier side of things.

What turned a disappointing meal into a terrible experience was the complete lack of accountability afterward. When I contacted Mandy's, I was directed to Uber Eats. Unfortunately, dealing with Uber Eats customer support was even more frustrating than receiving the food itself. The support process felt automated, impersonal, and entirely focused on closing the complaint rather than addressing the issue. Despite providing details about the poor quality of the food, my concerns were not taken seriously and no meaningful resolution was offered. Customers order through delivery platforms expecting some level of protection when food arrives in unacceptable condition. In this case, neither the restaurant nor Uber Eats seemed willing to take responsibility. Poor food quality is one thing; poor customer service from both companies makes the experience far worse. I won't be ordering from Mandy's again, and this experience has significantly reduced my confidence in Uber Eats as well.

This is my observation as I have had that dish many times at Mandy's Yorkville where its texture is more meaty, drier and delicious. When one of the two managers came by and asked me how it was, I told her and showed her it's not could correctly or two moist and I told her it's clearly not the same mock chicken product as Yorkville and I did not like it. Her only reply was thank you and walked away. She should have asked if I wanted it replaced. I was very close to directly asking her to replace it, but this was the second salad because the first one they added the salad dressing and I specifically asked for the dressing on the side so I picked away at it and then left it behind and went down the street. We were surprised to find an automatically added 15% gratuity to our bill at the end of our meal, despite there being just the two of us - so something to keep in mind when choosing to dine here (unsure if this would also apply for take out orders).
