After I waited for 15 minutes with other items roasting in my car in 90° weather, the Customer Service with authority to help me (who had told a fellow employee that she would help me) returned with three or four boxes of 12 mini diet cokes. I reiterated that I only wanted 2 six packs of the mini cans, none of which were on the shelf. She told me there were none in back. I asked her if since there weren't any of what I needed, I had to pay full price for the larger box that I did not want or if she could give me a discount (maybe the same price as 12 would cost in the BOGO?). She dismissively told me that I had to pay full price if I only bought one box. I consider that neither "working with me" as a customer nor Customer "SERVICE." frankly, I was shocked and appalled at her attitude and lack of desire to help a customer. She had no apparent desire to help me as one of her customers. Her attitude does not reflect the customer orientation that I have known in any other Publix in any state in my life. I am grateful that there are now two Publixes in LaGrange and I will do all that I can to shop at the Publix at Merganser Commons instead of the one on Commerce in the future.

I ordered for my wife and I the 16 piece baked chicken for lunch and dinner later. The pieces of chicken were very small. The breasts were an average size. However, the chicken was very dry, to the point of being almost inedible. My wife and I couldn't finish our breast pieces due to how dry they were. I tried a wing and it might as well have been dust. I decided to take the rest to our cabin to try and rescue something for dinner, but nothing could be saved. We were on a tight schedule so I did not bother asking for a refund. The area where you sit and eat was filthy. The window ledges had mold all over them, the trash was full, tiles were filthy, and tables hadn't been wiped. See photos. I was holding a bag of ice and rather than letting me wait in line for the next available self scanning register, the associate that was managing the registers rang me up.

When I lived in Atlanta, this was my go to grocery store, so imagine my excitement realizing there's one within a 35-mile radius of me now. Cue the happy dance in the parking lot. It's tucked into a large shopping center, so there's plenty of space to pull up, park, and prepare to spend more time (and money) than you originally planned. The moment I walked in, I was hit with the comforting aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, basically the grocery store version of a warm hug. On top of that, every employee I passed greeted me. Everyone was genuinely friendly and eager to help, which made the experience even better. I felt like a kid in a very upscale, health conscious candy store. If you're trying to eat better, this place makes it dangerously easy to stay on track. They have everything, fresh squeezed juices, exotic fruits and veggies, prepared meals, plus a quality meat and seafood department. Don't even get me started on the baked goods and yes they offer vegan and gluten-free pastries, self control was tested. I was especially impressed with their dairy free selection. There were plenty of yogurt and milk alternatives, which made this non-dairy girl feel seen and supported. One of my favorite parts was the snack displays. We moved to Forsyth in July 2021…read more Ingles is a grocery store. It is one of only two choices in Forsyth for grocery walk-in. Walmart is the other choice. Ingles uses a reward based signup system for discounts. If you have an out of state area code be prepared for it to not work properly if you just use your phone number instead of carrying the rewards card. They signed me up each time I went because their system is incapable of finding areas code not specific to Georgia. Their system thinks you belong to another Ingles market and just doesn't find you. The manager finally let me know the error or I would have had a 4th card number. They also won't use a store based courtesy card to just move the process along. Any other grocery store I've been to can do that, but apparently not Ingles. The parking lots and the store is clean. They have helpful employees when finding things. Their prices on most things are 20%-50% more than can be found elsewhere. You can attempt to justify that increased price range however you like in your mind. But that adds up real fast to additional money out of pocket. I simply go to Ingles only as a last resort. I choose Walmart, or driving over to Macon to have a much broader grocery and pricing options.
