It is not a large operation like the state-run Atlanta Farmers market. It is set in the Aberdeen Shopping Center Parking lot, behind the Bank of America at the corner of Northlake Drive and Hwy 54. It is well shaded with a lot of trees. Beautiful spot. 9 AM - 1 PM Wednesday and Saturday. You will also find multiple baked goods, spices, ready to eat foods plus food carts, beef, chicken, pork, honey, apples, cakes, boiled peanuts, flowers, mushrooms, ravioli, tamales, and a few crafts such as mine. I must disclose that I set up there on both days. I sharpen knives, scissors, and garden tools. On Saturday there are typically 50 or more vendors. Wednesdays about 15. (Me included) Still lots of produce and baked goods on Wednesdays. Really nice people - I've been there for two months+ and have yet to hear a harsh word or disparaging remark. It's small and just by the wayside, but it has locally farm-grown fruit, vegetables, specialty and locally brewed ciders, cooking sauces, smoked meats, desserts, and snacks. I pick up some of the Scuppunong Ciders, Old-Fashioned Apple Cider, and some fresh tomatoes and skins. It looks so much like some of the local markets I would visit as a child with my parents and Grandmother, so I was in the midst of all kinds of nostalgia here. The owner is so sweet and welcoming, and she was very accommodating. This place is the epitome of Southern and Georgia-grown delicacies, and I'm so pleased that I'll have the chance to visit often. I have tried their jams (Peach Brandy Jam, I used to top baked Mission Figs), their Espresso Infused Balsamic which I used to make a reduction sauce for filet mignon, and their watermelon jelly is fine, too. It's about a 20 minute drive from Macon, and offers all sorts of fun things for the kiddos... and for your inner child! The farm has horses, miniature horses (Li'l Sebastian!), cows, and goats -- they even had a brand new baby goat when we visited! You can feed the animals, play around the farm, get freshly churned strawberry ice cream, and, of course, pick your own strawberries! They have a little covered barn area where the actual birthday party took place, and the best part is that they have REAL bathrooms available for use -- cleverly disguised as old-school outhouses. They're cute. I'd highly recommend taking a trip out to Elliot Farms with the family any time. We had a great time and left with pints of strawberries to remember the trip by.

That being said, the produce is fresh, local, and often better in price and quality than what you'll find in the supermarket and other grocery stores. The stuff I'm getting is high-quality, but strikes me as monotonous. Not to mention, I'm kinda annoyed at having to go pick up the box every Wednesday.
