Ordered a part from them on EBay. Turns out the color didn't match what I needed. I contacted them and Todd told me to send it back for a refund. Shipped it Monday and got a message from EBay this afternoon (Wednesday) telling me the refund had been processed. Would have no problem buying from them again. read more

If I could give a zero star I would. The would not let you see the part before you buy it. No where on there contract does it state you cannot receive a refund. Chad the manager instead of trying to help wanted me to junk my car to him after me telling him I didn't know much about cars. What a way to take advantage a woman or any person in general. What if I was his sister of wife would he have liked a slime bag taking advantage of them. They charge a 25% restocking fee and only want to give store credit. Worst place. read more

My husband sent me to Tap Recycling to pick up parts for an off road project he and his friend were working on. He said he spoke to the owner Todd Jones, and said that he would have everything ready for me to pick up, and gave me money for the agreed upon price. When I arrived at Tap Recycling I was met with a smiling face at the front door. I asked to speak to Todd, and he came out and said "you must be Lisa". He personally showed me the parts that my husband requested, and everything was there as promised. The bill was exactly for the agreed upon price he quoted my husband, and Todd even loaded up all the parts for me personally. Out of all of my part runs for my husband, this was the easiest and most pleasant one of all. read more

Helpful in a pinch because their inventory is good but service is garbage. Save your receipt because they won't look up your transaction in their computer. I had my in storage so had to go get that first. My part broke one month into it and had to get it taken off, and get another one under warranty. Was told it would be available in and hour and half, I gave them 2 but was told they were busy doing other things so I had to wait even longer for someone to take the part off. I think they make their money shipping things so local counter gets half decent service. read more

I spoke with someone named Juan. He promised a good tested used engine. I was also promised one year warranty on the engine. When I found the engine to be worthless they would not stand behind the warranty. I only wanted to return it after a little over 30 days and have been given the complete runaround. They will get to explain it in court. What what Ive read these people are not honest in any way, shape or form. Beware. Do not buy from them, especially sight unseen. I'm a dealer and had to deal with this yard on many occasions. But this last time was the end of my rope with them. I was looking for a part so I went on there web-site and found they had the part I needed. great! The price on there site shows it's $125 so I call them and ask for the part & of course he replies he's got the part in stock. Then he tells me the price is $200 so I tell him what about the price you have online is $125. Guy has enough nerve to straight up lie to me, that they already sold the part. I've use parts sites everyday and know exactly how they work there sites. When they have more than one of the same part they post them separately because each car and each part has it's own stock number and part number. And clearly shows he's only got one. So I would prefer to pay more to buy from someone who's honest. Beware and double check when your dealing with this guy. Another problem is that I can't complain to the owner because the owner is the one how has always given me ridiculous prices. And the fact I have given them so many opportunities is that there located in a wrecking yard plaza were all makes are in separate building separate owners. read more

Like others had said, good inventory but crappy service. The guy name Todd who works in the front is a total douche-bag so stay away from him. I wanted a transmission that they had in stock, and I requested to see the transmission before I buy since he couldn't provide me with a picture on the computer. He denied my request because he said it would be a waste of time. I told him I wanted to see if the teeth on the input shaft were still good or if there were any cracks or damages to the exterior casing. He had the uneducated nerve to tell me that transmissions never crack and that the teeth on the shaft were good without letting me inspect it. Long story short, I paid cash for the transmission and when I got home, sure enough, there was a crack that penetrated through the housing where the clutch, clutch fork, and throw-out bearing sat. Stay away from this place if you can. read more

Had a pleasant experience purchasing the part I needed for my car. I tried to find the dash board for my 98 honda civic and I looked every where, even went to the junk yards where you pull the parts yourself and I just couldn't seem to find one at any of those other yards. I travelled all the way to merced and still nothing I just about called it quits when my friend refered me to Fresno-TAP Recycling, I took a chance on it and headed straight over and sure enough they had it. I went in and asked for the part they told me they had it! The only issue I had was it kind of took a while to receive my part but it was understandable due to the fact that they are short handed at the time of this review. I'd do business with them again.
