The matcha was really good! I appreciate that they handmade their matcha using quality ingredients and you could definitely taste the difference. The flavor was smooth and delicious. The only downside was the wait. I apparently went during an extremely busy time without realizing it and it took about 45 minutes to get one drink. The shop was also busy that there were wasn't anywhere to sit, people were having to stand along the walls. While I enjoyed the drink, I personally don't think it was worth the 45 minute wait. That said, the staff were friendly and the crowd definitely seems to speak to how well-loved this place is! Overall, matcha flavor was light to me (felt a bit watered down and mainly milky). Ordered: - Matcha einspanner - Not a fan of their house sweet cream flavor. If I go back I would do a drink without the cream personally. - Matcha Duo - After trying the matcha einspanner and the flavor feeling watered down and mainly milky. I was hoping that the matcha cream top was going to help bring out more of that matcha flavor. Unfortunately, it did not for me. They had a lot of seating options but it was very crowded. Lots of people studying/working. We went on a Saturday afternoon and there was no seating left. One of the cups we asked for light ice. We compared it to our other cup with "regular ice" it was the same amount. I wasn't paying attention so unsure what brand they use for their oat milk, but for Almond milk they used Califia. June 2026, on their instagram, they claim that their matcha drinks will include "over 30% more matcha" Not sure how it compares before, but trying it in July 2026 it was definitely one of the more milky matcha I have had. read more

Wifey and i and our grandson enjoyed a couple stellar coffee drinks. The Lotus Einspanner coffee drink was iced and very tasty, a latte with house sweet cream and topped with Biscoff crumble. My wife enjoyed an iced blue coconut cream latte, a Matcha Duo with Marukyu Koyamaen latte with velvety matcha cream top. They gave my wife a free ladyfinger cookie and our grandson enjoyed it immensely. She went back to the counter and tried to buy a few more cookies and they gave her about 5 more on the house. Came back twice after seeing on social media that they "ban milkyness" on their matcha due to customer comments/complaints. But I'm pretty 50/50 on that. The first I came back I got the matcha einspanner and I can definitely say there was a much stronger matcha flavor. Compared to the second time, I got their Berry Burst which is a raspberry matcha latte. The matcha wasn't as strong and still milky. I also tried their tiramisu latte, which was very stronger but not to my liking since I like my coffee on the sweeter side. Finding seating was still a struggle as it gets very crowded. Houston's matcha game is still in the works and it's safe to say that Fresso is at the top of the game. The sole reason being because THEY LISTEN and improve based on feedback!! I originally tried them out earlier this year but thought their matcha was too milky. I came back because they posted that they increased their matcha levels by 30% for all matcha drinks and will now have 3 shots of espresso for all coffees. I've never seen anyone else in Houston do that. I tried their Duo Matcha again and it is definitely stronger on that matcha flavor! It's still not the best I've ever had but it is the best in Houston (for now) and I would get it again if I'm in the area. We also tried their seasonal Dot Matcha (for Dot Cake) and I liked it a lot but I just love sprinkles in general. My friend's feedback was that she didn't think it tasted like cake. As for interior, I love the individual cubicles along the window and the abundance of outlets at every table making it perfect for studying. Got the matcha duo, and it was very good! I liked the taste of the matcha cream over the stirred drink as a whole, but overall it was still really good! I do prefer Kohiko's matcha in Sugar Land (just my preference, both are still VERY good) but I would come here if I'm craving more creative and unique flavors/drinks! I finally decided to pay a visit to Fresso after seeing it all over TikTok and I'm glad I did! I am in the Sugar Land/Missouri City area often so I was highly anticipating the opening of Fresso since they were carrying Marukyu Koyamaen matcha -- I don't know of any other spots in Houston making matcha using MK. (I'm also surprised that they are able to source such a large volume of this brand specifically in the midst of a matcha shortage). Upon entering, I noticed how bright and airy the space was, with tons of seating arrangements and outlets throughout the store. I can see this being a nice spot to WFH from or to study at once they get less busy. I visited on a Sunday afternoon, which was a mistake, because it was packed. I noticed that they didn't take too long to make the two drinks that I purchased but I felt like it was a bottleneck situation when I saw several drinks (our included) by the cashier/pickup area and it was not called out for at least 10 minutes. Not a big deal but the store definitely felt a bit chaotic! I think it would be a good idea to consider expanding the bar area on the left side of their workspace to allow for smoother and quicker drink pickups. Aside from how busy it was, we really enjoyed our drinks! We got the Strawberry Green (green milk tea with strawberry puree) and the Cloud Matcha (matcha latte topped with a blue spirulina coconut foam) -- both yummy but we preferred the Strawberry Green! Fresso Coffee and Tea in Missouri City is the newest matcha spot to pop up on my Houston radar, and I'm so glad I made the drive out here to try it. I believe the owner was working the cash register, and he was very friendly to explain the menu to us. Walking in, their store front is very nice. There's a variety of tables, benches, study nooks, and communal tables. Great study spot if you're looking for table space and outlets. Drink wise, that matcha was fantastic! They are usually really high quality matcha from Japan, and the fact that they are using 6g of matcha in every drink is insane. I tried their mango duo and strawberry duo, 10/10 would recommend. The drinks have great matcha flavor without being overly sweet. I'll definitely be a regular here whenever I'm in the Missouri City area. Easily the best milk tea and matcha shop in Sugar Land in my opinion. I found out about Fresso on social media and decided to stop in and give it a try. I was initially doubtful because so many of these types of shops come and go in Sugar Land, but I hope that Fresso is different. Jesse, the owner, is incredibly friendly and gives a great rundown of their menu. I decided to try the matcha duo because they use 6g MK matcha. It is very similar to the lalaland matcha squared or the keith lee matcha. The matcha taste is very rich, the foam on top gives the drink great body and mouthfeel, and most importantly it's not too sweet. I've also tried the strawberry and mango matcha drinks, and they are also incredibly balanced without the matcha flavor being drowned out. I have since stopped in multiple times and I was also able to try their milk teas and coffee. They use a very similar machine to chicha sanchen, where the tea is brewed to order and extracted at high pressure, similar to espresso. The tea taste in all of their milk tea drinks is distinct and, again, all of their drinks are not too sweet. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, so I always opt for less sweet or "more tea taste" at Fresso. The boba itself always has a soft texture and a good brown sugar taste. My favorite tea is the phoenix oolong or fresso black. The fresso black is very unique and has notes of roasted barley and hazelnuts. The phoenix is more floral and fragrant. I've found that the coffee is solid too. The roast on the espresso plays well with their mocha cold foam in the caffe duo. A sleeper pick on their menu is the smoothie. I've tried the mango and the strawberry banana smoothie and both are so smooth, creamy, and delicious. I've also found that adding an espresso shot to the matcha duo to be excellent because the roasted and nutty espresso plays well with the floral and slightly vegetal and umami matcha. The seating is amble and has a nice mix of study focused and socialization focused seating. Lots and lots of outlets available. Fresso is located in a plaza with lots of parking as well. I can't wait to see what else Fresso has in the pipeline. I hope that they explore hojicha drinks, more fruit options, perhaps a salted foam, and seasonal drinks. This is my new default cafe / boba shop to visit. No more need to drive to chinatown! read more

A homey boba spot hidden away from the road. If you are looking for a hangout spot with some quality drink you should come here. I had their matcha cloud (forgot to take a pic before) and this jingxuan oolong tea, they are not like amazingly good or stood out to me but they are good quality. You can taste the matcha bitterness and the oolong tea is very fragrant. Even though I ordered less sweet but they are still on the sweeter side, if you like your tea 25% sweet I would suggest get no sugar because they don't do percentage adjustments so when I had the drink it's still sweeter for me. Service is fast and very welcoming, but unfortunately space is kind of tight and gets rowdy on the weekend all day so it's not really an ideal spot to study in my opinion. read more

I have been hyped for Fresso since I saw the videos of Fresso's progression over the past few months. We came around 3 pm and the line was to the door. The line to order moved quickly and the staff were super helpful! They had tea leaves that you can smell near the register to help you decide too. The drinks took about 15-20 minutes to come out. They had plenty of seating for single and larger parties for both waiting and enjoying the drinks. The matcha einspanner, it was sooo creamy and not sweet. The staff told me that the cream was a little thicker than usual but it still flowed smoothly and mixed well with the matcha. This drink was very balanced overall. The mango matcha, soooo yummy. I could taste both the mango and the matcha which I liked. One did not overpower the other and it had the perfect sweetness in my opinion. I ordered the matcha duo and the tiramisu latte and received my drinks after around 20 minutes. Both drinks were well-made with premium ingredients. According to the staff, the matcha duo is the top seller and definitely worth a try. There's plenty of seating and opportunity for photos in the cute shop. I appreciated the thoughtfulness that went into the design of the shop that catered to both solo visitors and group visits. There are single cubicles lined against the window for those intending to sit and study/work, and there are tables for four or more lined against the inner wall if you are there to chat with friends. If you are looking for new specialty drinks in Houston, don't miss out on Fresso. If you want to support local businesses and especially public school teachers who now dive into entrepreneurship, this is also the spot for you. If you hope to find a spot where you can focus or decompress, then Fresso can be a good choice as well. According to the staff, the grand opening will be held in January 2026. My absolute favorite is the matcha duo (matcha with matcha cold foam). The drink is so creamy and earthy. Sometimes, I add an espresso shot for an extra caffeine boost and the espresso blends in perfectly with the matcha. 2. The milk tea here is also so floral and bright. The tea is imported straight from Taiwan and brewed in a two group teapresso machine. The machine extracts tea in a precise and concentrated manner. This leaves all of fressos milk teas tasting consistently flavorful. My favorite is the phoenix oolong, but all the teas are very good. You can smell them all at the front when you order! 3. They also have smoothies that give erewhon a run for its money. The strawberry banana is my favorite in this category. It is so creamy and filling and makes for a perfect summer afternoon drink. 4. I love the fresso black as milk tea, it's my absolute favorite. It's has a nice like roasted flavor. Their matcha's are really solid and I know are super popular here. They are strong and have a good flavor, would recommend to anyone, but also I'm not like the most versed person in matcha either, but my friends who are also love them. I've been twice during the soft opening and wow I love it here. There's plenty of group or individual seating and it's pretty inside. The staff and the owner are kind and honest when it comes to recommendations. I feel like you can't go wrong with any of the drinks, it just depends on what is your preference. this place has caused quite a stir since opening, which can be difficult to do with such a plethora of cafes opening recently the interior is gorgeous, it reminds me a lot of rok matcha in LA. however the matcha just doesn't not compare. it was extremely milky even tho i got the matcha duo. the matcha cream on top has a good matcha depth but the drink overall was a miss. plenty of seating although they will probably stay busy for a little while longer the staff is extremely welcoming, kind, and would walk around the entire store with your drink to hand deliver it - impressive read more

ive been hearing about fresso for months now from social media, and tbh i was doubtful that it was gonna live up to the hype... but im glad i was wrong! the interior is super cozy and inviting with wifi and plenty of tables for studying. very friendly service as well, and they took the time to recommend items based on our preferences :) youre able to smell the tea leaves to get a better idea of what to order. weve been here twice and have tried the einspanner matcha, matcha duo, fresso milk tea, and jasmine green milk tea. - the einspanner matcha was sooo creamy and decadent. we got it with less sugar and oat milk (no upcharge!) it was very balanced between the sweetness, matcha, and milk. - the matcha duo is more matcha forward (6 grams of it!) and suitable for people who don't like lattes as much since its so rich and less sweet/milky compared to the einspanner. - ive tried a lot of jasmine green milk teas, but this one is by far the most fragrant ive ever had. for a floral, light tea, its usually pretty subtle compared to black teas or even oolong, yet this tasted like a garden itself. the boba was chewy and soft as well. - what stunned me the most was the earthy, nutty flavor of the fresso milk tea. its unique profile made it SO memorable. its deffff my favorite so far. overall the drinks here are really incredible, and to be able to stand out in a sea of boba/matcha places says a lot about fresso already. i hope the quality keeps up as the initial hype dies down!! i cant wait to come back soon and try their coffee during my next study session :3 read more
