Expensive, expensive and more expensive. I have been more than I should. It is worth the adventure at least once. That is a given. Because FICA is in town Dubai Bars are $2.99 each, Coffee and Gelato too. Oh course, I needed Turkish Delight. It was delicious. I got Pomengrate and Coconut (Traditional). The place was packed for parking and inside too cluttered. Beautiful sweets, but things are overpriced. Another thing I noticed was it was a little bit cluttered.

Came here to try the tik tok famous dubai chocolate strawberries and they were great but not amazing. Unfortunately i think we got a cup that maybe had been sitting for a little bit bc the chocolate had hardened over the strawberries but the pistachio cream with kane was still yummy. My friends have been here a couple times and told me to ask for a fresh batch next time to make sure the chocolate still has that warm melted consistency. Our order came out pretty quickly and the portion size was huge which was nice. They had so many options for foods and drinks and the place seemed pretty clean. IDK if i would come back just for this again but maybe if i was really craving it.

Introducing this place to my friends and unfortunately they didn't like it. We bought some matcha drink and it wasn't good. Then we can try the mango ice cream desserts but it was super frozen and nothing to break it off. After trying it there wasn't anything good about that , such a waste of $10. The booza ice cream was good

After getting its start in New Orleans, Royal Roastery made its way to Houston a handful of years ago (#1) providing the world class Middle Eastern inspired treats and coffee. Their initial hype hasn't slowed down and their fandom has continually grown, which most definitely includes yours truly. First off, the place is enormous. It might not look like much from the outside, but the interior is bright and spaced out with sections, a seating area, and plenty of room to peruse. The weekday mornings are usually the most quiet, but a crowd can develop anytime, especially during the wee hours since they're open till midnight every night. Their affinity for nut-roasting is never more apparent with their approach to coffee and desserts. Their brews are aromatic, rich, and apparently roasted in-house. Their affogatos are excellent and the pistachio lattes have been perfectly creamy and sweet. They pair nicely with some of their sweet delights. Dessert lovers will love their array of sweets. Their knefeh is gooey and buttery and is a must-have. They've also managed to creatively feature the Dubai chocolates in multiple ways, from dessert cups to crepes to full on bars. There is also number of other items such as waffles, cheesecakes, fruits, and a plethora of Turkish items such as baklava, dragee (#2), and halva. Whether it's for a morning pick-me-up, gift shopping for others, or simply looking for a late night dessert spot, Royal Roastery has truly impressed on a number of levels. Their prices are affordable, service is on point, and parking is a cinch (#3). They're now officially one of my go-to spots in Houston and I am already looking forward to my next visit. ____________ (#1) 2019. (#2) Coated nuts. (#3) Can't find any out front? This place lives up to the hype. This place is a little unique spot with a variety of different foods. The food and desserts are very cultured. They have ice cream and everything seems to be aesthetically beautiful. Their Dubai chocolate are so rich and filled. When I say they're filled they're are filled up with that pistachio filling like there is no shortage of it. The service is fine it's a little bit slow since they get so busy. They also have ice cream. My only complaint was the restrooms there was only 1 and there was a line just to use it. Overall, it is a place that is worth going to.

Royal Roastery was dessert heaven! Filled with Turkish, Arabic, and Middle Eastern treats, there was an abundance of things to choose from. I had friends visiting from Seattle and they said Royal Roastery beats any of the Middle Eastern bakery/dessert shops in Seattle. First time here, it's almost overwhelming how many things there are to choose from. Luckily, they are very generous when it comes to letting you sample the different treats. The Dubai chocolate, baklava, and Arabic ice cream were probably my favorite. Ambiance wise, this place is huge! There were multiple groups having dessert together even late at 930pm. They stay open till midnight which is a huge plus! Houston needs more late night dessert spots like this. Thanks Royal Roastery for being such a unique, Middle Eastern dessert shop, we'll be regulars here for years to come!

I came here for a late-night snack. I am amazed by the amount of dessert that was available. It was so busy, but also quite fun seeing all these people. We got their knafeh, as everyone we saw was getting it. We initially did not know what it was, but it was absolutely delicious. It was neither too heavy nor too sweet. We also got their pistachio latte, which was absolutely delicious. I wanted to get their snacks, but not all of them were labeled, so it was a bit disappointing. Their baklava was weighed by the pound, and there were so many to try. There was plenty of parking, and people were super nice. I will definitely come back here again to try other stuff, and maybe get another knafeh. The ambiance was nice though there needs to be more seatings.

I had a really good experience shopping here! They have lot of cool treats like gelato, cakes shaped like fruits, Turkish delights, and chocolates. I grabbed a baggie of Turkish delights and chocolate (buy by the pound!) and a fruit cake. So good!!! The cake was filled with mousse and fruit jelly, surrounded by the shell of white chocolate which is shaped and colored like the fruit. The only problem with the Turkish delights is they hardly have names and labels so it is a bit challenging to decide what to buy. I bought one of each and tried them at home to decide what to get next time! Parking is sparse. I think it's prob best to come here during less busy times!

Royal Roastery in Houston on Westheimer - Amazing Dubai Chocolate treat

Pistachio is the nut that is overtaking Hazelnut, the nut that emerged in the '90s as the big food trend in ingredients and flavorings. Dubai Chocolate is a big part of that. The evidence is here! Not just in New York, but even in Houston you can try it out at Royal Roastery on Westheimer that can make you an amazing Dubai Chocolate Booza (Arabic Ice Cream) treat! Pistachio is everywhere! Pistachio is the new Hazelnut! (You can quote me on that!) To discover more about this pistachio phenomenon, check out this article: https://bit.ly/4pKCirp

Ok, y'all got me convinced. I was skeptical of the hype... but this place did NOT disappoint. Whether you're searching for the infamous Dubai chocolates or the highly-coveted fruit-shaped desserts or looking for an exotic treat, you'll hit the motherload at Royal Roastery. Treats are DELICIOUS, expertly made, and surprisingly well-priced. You'll pay a fraction of the cost compared to a chain grocery store, pop up market, or mall kiosk. (*Something like $5-$10 per specialty item.) We sampled various baklava and Dubai chocolate treats, and every bite was pistachio bliss. (Worth noting: the smaller candy bars had creamier chocolate and thicker filling.) Our favorite from the haul was the Dubai Chocolate Tiramisu. Looking forward to trying the next viral treat, because I'm sure this place will show out!

This store has loads of variety. Bulk tease, spices, nuts, snacks, Turkish, delight, chocolates, and lots of different sweets. They also have a full gelato bar, a full coffee bar, and many many pastries, and desserts to choose from. It's a bit of a sensory overload, but I highly recommend you popping in to check it out!

After all the hype I've been hearing about this place, I finally had to try it. If you have a sweet tooth, this spot is definitely for you. As soon as I walked in, I felt full just looking around.. there's food everywhere you turn. The chocolates and ice cream flavors were yummy, they even sell cashews, teas, and spices, which was a fun surprise. I think social media set my expectations a bit too high, though. Don't get me wrong, it was good, just a little overhyped. Next time I go, I'll definitely try their coffee and teas.

    Dubai chocolate parfait
    Char I.

This place is amazing! The menu and options are robust! I as per usual were led here by social media in search of a mousse bear. Andd I got that along with an array of other delicacies. Now not only was the best tasty, it was sooo cute! I almost didn't want to eat it! They offer you a choice of chocolate sauce for an up charge and of course I got it. I also ordered a latte which had a robust flavor with oat milk. And I couldn't leave out without a piece of Dubai chocolate of course. Lastly I bought a small Dubai chocolate parfait. It was bomb and not too sweet but hit the spot right before the gym. This place has an abundance of things to choose from including crepes! Do check this place out. Now there is both limited seating and limited parking! But well worth the trip!

The store front is very tiny, it could fit maybe 6 people fairly comfortably. They do have a speak easy space for their tastings, which is an interesting concept, which I'll touch on later. Effectively, they have different unique shapes of chocolate that are liquid filled with alcoholic and non-alcoholic liqueurs. Think licor 43, gin, bourbon, whiskey, tequila, etc. The chocolates themselves are good, there wasn't any that I disliked and I'd say the carajillo was one of my favorites. All that said, I think this can be hit or miss with some folks. I like them, whereas I can see how it has a bit of a flash in the pan type taste. It hits fast and then, that's it.Personally, I can get past that probably and could easily eat 10 in rapid fashion. Where this place loses my attention and where I struggle is the pricing. Value is always subjective and I'm sure some will find these to be well worth their price. For reference, I think it's 4 for $22, 8 for $34, when I recently visited. I just didn't find them to be worth that pricing model, particularly when there are other brands that you can get at a lower price and similar fillings. At the end of the day, I think this is worth it for an experience or date, particularly if you're going to go in for the tasting. Think, wine and cheese, in this case, cocktails and chocolates. It's $65 a person for the experience. Overall, I'm glad to see a boutique shop like this that's locally owned by a young, ambitious entrepreneur. My two cents, price lower and there is likely a higher amount of return customers for the chocolates, but I'll save you, the reader, the take on an entire business model diatribe here.
